Marry Ex's Uncle After Divorcement

Chapter 782

Chapter 782

Chapter 782 Charlie’s Worry

“Ben, it seems that you don’t like me at all,” Charlie sighed with disappointment.

Ben shook his head and said, “I love you, Dad. It’s just that I think Mom needs me more.”

Charlie thought of Theresa and wondered if she really needed the children.

“If she married Dick, she would only think of our two children as burdens, wouldn’t she?” Charlie thought, feeling helpless.

He really wanted to keep Theresa by his side, but the reality made him realize that he might not be able to do that.

But he really couldn’t leave the two children.

Moreover, he didn’t want Theresa to marry Dick and let the two children live with Dick.

After all, Dick wouldn’t want to see the two kids unless he intended to hold them as hostages.

Charlie couldn’t help but suspect Dick’s purpose.

If Theresa really married Dick, Dick would be able to manipulate the two kids, Charlie believed. “Theresa, have you ever thought about these things?” wondered Charlie.

After dinner, Ben walked out of the restaurant with a toy that a waiter had given him and he asked Charlie, “Dad, are we going back?”

“Not yet,” Charlie said. “We’re going to a place.” © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Ben looked at him and asked, “Where are we going?”

Charlie carried him into the car and said, “Let’s go, and you’ll see”

Ben looked at Charlie while sitting in the car and asked, “Dad, you’re not taking me away secretly, are you?”

Hearing the little boy’s question, Charlie smiled and asked, “Do you think I’m that kind of person?” “You did intend to take me away before, didn’t you?” Ben glanced at him.

Charlie rubbed his head. “Don’t worry! I won’t do that again.”

If truth be told, Charlie did intend to take Ben away secretly.

But if so, Theresa would come to make a scene.

Charlie had no intention of dealing with this thing in such a way and made the kids hate him.

Ben said, “I trust you, Dad.”

His words caught Charlie off guard.

Charlie looked at him and smiled. Finally, the car stopped at the door of Johnson’s house.

Charlie was there to visit Johnson.

Sarah had been detained for a few days, and she just got released and returned home,

Leah went to pick her up early in the morning.

At the moment, Sarah was sitting on the sofa with a long face.

A servant led Charlie and Ben into the house and reported to Johnson, “Sir, Mr. Charlie is here.”

Hearing this, Johnson raised his head and looked at the entrance, surprised to see Charlie making his way in.

Ben trotted to Johnson and called out, “Grandpa.”

Johnson hugged the boy and asked, “Good boy! Why do you come here all of a sudden?”

“Dad brought me here.” Ben leaned against Johnson and took a look at Charlie.

Charlie looked at Johnson and said, “I’d like to have a talk with you.”

Johnson looked at him and responded, “Let’s go upstairs then.”

Charlie followed him upstairs.

Sarah, who was sitting on the sofa, found that Charlie didn’t even spare a glance at her from beginning to end.

She had been living a hell-like life in the past few days, but Charlie was still so cold to her after she got released.

Leah asked, “Did Theresa give the children back to Charlie?”

Sarah gave a wry smile.

Leah looked at her and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Do you know who is the mother of Leonard and Ben?” Sarah asked.

Leah was confused. “They’re Cristina and Charlie’s children, aren’t they?”

“No, you are wrong,” said Sarah. “They’re bastards Theresa gave birth to.”
