Theresa was not an idiot, she knew Jimmy definitely played a role in this.

Jimmy pursed his lips. “Are you coming or not?”

“No thanks,” Theresa said, “I appreciate your offer.”

Theresa hung up the call right after. She looked at her phone and felt quite surprised, she did not expect Jimmy to call her. However, she could roughly guess what Jimmy was thinking, he knew she got divorced and wanted to laugh at her, that was all. Did he really think he could do whatever he wanted to her now that she had left Charlie?

Charlie had already returned home and taken a bath. He walked out of the bedroom with his hair still partially wet. When he passed by Leonard and Ben’s room, he stopped in front of the door, pushed it open, and walked in. The room was empty.

He walked out and called the helper over and asked, “Where are the kids?”

Leonard and Ben were not at home. It was no wonder Charlie felt something was off when he came home. If it were before, Ben would have happily called him “dad” as soon as he saw him.

Thinking of those two little guys, a rare gentleness appeared on Charlie’s face. Although Leonard was not as amiable as Ben, he was still Charlie’s son. More importantly, Leonard acted a lot like Charlie sometimes.

Of course, Charlie returned home to see his two children. He wondered if the two of them were causing a fuss after Theresa left.

The maid replied, “The two of them went to Ms. Cristina Lagarde’s place. Madam said it’s been very long since they saw their mother, so she said to let them spend some time with Ms. Lagarde.”
