Chapter 80
A yellow fireball exploded from the base of the dam Zollner had just dragged me across –
Which Massimo was currently on top of.
I felt the shockwave against my face –
And the entire structure began to shift and sag.
Giant cracks appeared, and even more water began to burst through the dam.
I screamed in panic – but because of the gag in my mouth, I could barely hear myself over the roar of crumbling stone and rushing water.
My eyes were on Massimo, who stood up on the wooden railing of the walkway –
And leaped into the raging river 30 feet below him.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
He jumped outwards into the churning waters as far from the crumbling structure as possible.
He cleared the rubble as the dam collapsed in on itself –
But he was immediately swallowed by the river.
I strained my eyes to find him in the darkness –
But I couldn’t see a hint of him.
I screamed in horror behind my gag.
Zollner sighed behind me.
“What a waste,” he said. Then he asked, “Will you walk, or must I pull you again?”
All I could do was scream…
So he yanked my arms over my head and began to drag me through the mud.
