22 Instinct
“Chastine, I’m sorry…” Maxill embraced her tightly as he softly spoke those words.
His face was buried in his shiny locks, but he still wasn’t able to hide his tears.
“It’s alright, Maxill. I know about the risk. Don’t feel bad about it, ok?” Chastine’s reassuring voice calmed down the bloodhunt.
Chastine added, “Actually, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be alive right now.”
Noticing that the mood had lightened up, Maxill came up with a humorous quip, “Hehe, you’re quite heavy, you know.”
She was astonished at the bloodhunt’s comment, because the fellhound had always said that she was petite and skinny.
Chastine broke their embrace and sheepishly giggled.
But Juste giggled all the more.
“Work out your butt, Maxy,” Juste was taunting him, even calling his nickname in a cute but mocking fashion. “Are you blind? Chastine’s just light.”
“Don’t call me Maxy. Ugh, I hate it.” Maxill started to roll his eyes. He was genuinely irritated at the appellation Juste just gave him.
“Maxy the crybaby. It quite fits, it rhymes.” Juste then smirk at his own quip as he figuratively jerked Maxill’s knee.
Maxill then glared at Juste. Juste was feeling Maxill’s healthy and friendly invitation for a brawl.
Without warning, the hybrid vampire lunged toward Juste at a remarkable speed. He moved so fast it created a swooshing supersonic sound inside the cave.
Juste then countered his attack, shielding his face with his arms forming a cross.
Chastine’s hair roughly bellowed in the air as Maxill made his move.
She was starting to panic because it was out of her control that they would fight. Little did she know that it was just a light duel between two dear friends.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
“Juste! Maxill!” Chastine cried out their names, but the two were already outside breaking twigs and parrying fists.
She found it hard to get out from the cave as it was quite dark already.
She carefully leaned onto the cave of the wall or touched the ground with her fingers as she made way for the cave’s exit.
When she had gotten out of that dark hole, her pitch black view suddenly went a bit bright because the forest was illuminated by the moon and the stars.
She felt relieved at her vision as she was now able to perceive some objects around her, but she was also alarmed at what was happening between her bloodhunt and fellhound friends.
Juste and Maxill were busy with their mutually-agreed upon practical exercise.
The fellhound was strong with his fist so he was on the offensive, while the bloodhunt was fluid and agile in nature so he was the one evading and countering the fellhound’s attacks.
Twigs crackled, leaves tussled, and tree trunks hollowed in as Juste’s blows landed on them.
But Juste’s forehead began to bead out sweat. He always failed to make contact with Maxill’s vital parts, finding it hard to land a blow to the vampire hybrid.
He then started to use his lower limbs, swinging it with mighty force to at least have a chance to hit Maxill. “Hyah!”
Maxill, on the other hand, began to catch his breath.
The vampire hybrid internally admitted that although he’s quite a genius in many ways unimaginable, the fellhound was proving quite a challenge for him.
After their biggest clash yet, Juste and Maxill distanced themselves and both fell into defensive stance.
Then Chastine finally caught up with them.
“Guys, stop! Stop it! The joke just got out of hand.” She was waving her arms in a dismissive and prohibitive fashion.
Juste and Maxill simultaneously looked at Chastine, then they glanced back at each other.
Then Juste and Maxill began laughing at the same time, “Hahahahaha!”
She started to be confused at the current situation.
Maxill finally told Chastine about what was really happening. “Chill, Chas. Ahahahahaha this is just a friendly fight.”
Her brows furrowed and her jaw slightly dropped, opening her mouth by a small fraction.
She then stormed out of the vicinity.
“H-hey, Chastine, wait!” Juste reached out his hand towards Chastine, who was now getting farther from them as she was going back to their camp.
—
All three of them were back at the camp, sitting around the little clumped up embers that Juste made beforehand.
Chastine was still furious about the two of them because she was totally worried that they might kill each other because of one bad joke.
She was in a squatting position with her arms settled on her knees and supporting her chin.
She had a frown about her face when she said, “You both stink.”
Because of Chastine’s comment, Maxill then came up with the idea that they should go to the river near them and bathe.
Maxill stood up and said to them, “Right, good idea.”
Chastine began to express on her face a look of astonishment. “Wait, what?”
She just said it out of spite, but Maxill took it as a good idea.
The vampire hybrid placed his arms akimbo. “There’s a downstream river about a mile from here. Let’s go take a dip.”
Maxill began to walk to lead the way.
“I’m in,” the fellhound agreed with the bloodhunt.
“Don’t worry, Chastine. Getting naked is an option. We just need to wash away dirt and sweat off our skin.”
Chastine didn’t say a thing, but she slowly walked towards Maxill’s direction, making a statement that she agrees with their decision.
The fellhound went beside her as they make way for the river.
Juste couldn’t hold his desire for Chastine any longer.
He felt the need to confess his feelings to her, as he thinks that the longer he delays it, he will burst and get all crazy if it would still remain a secret from her.
He was planning to surprise her with something by the river, then he’ll tell her about what he feels.
The three of them arrived at the edge of the river. Maxill quickly undressed and got naked, throwing away his garb carelessly along the bushes.
The tall and handsome bloodhunt was a bit on the skinny side, but he still had bulges and a six pack to boot, even if small.
His skin was glistening in the moonlight as it was quite paler and whiter than Chastine’s already fair skin.
“I’ll go ahead you guys.”
Maxill dived into the river. Then he was gone from Juste and Chastine’s sight.
Juste started removing his clothes.
Chastine caught a glimpse of his already half-naked body again.
She tried to resist staring at Juste, but her desire to be polite and proper was overtaken by her hidden desire for the muscular fellhound.
“Liking what you see?” Juste’s eyes and lips smiled as he started to make his move.
Chastine could only blush in embarrassment.
“It’s alright, Chastine, I’ll show you more.”
Chastine hated to admit it, but Juste’s sudden suave display of confidence made her wet between her legs.
“But first you should strip some of your clothes off. We need to dip ourselves in the river and clothes get heavy when wet.”
Juste maneuvered to help Chastine take off her jacket.
He then started to unstring and unloosen her corset from behind.
The feeling was all new to Chastine.
She liked what she was experiencing, but she just let Juste lead in whatever they were headed at that moment.
Chastine was barely naked; she was sheerly covered with a white sleeveless tunic undergarment.
Her lady bits were proudly protruding underneath that garment.
Juste noticed it and he just smiled at what he was satisfyingly seeing.
