Chapter217 But She Loves Me
But She Loves Me
Iterrupt them?
Isabella's face darkened. Once again, she suspected that if Diana was really her mom.
Diana glanced at her coat again, and asked suspiciously, "Why don't you invite him come in and have a
cup of tea?"
Isabella bit her lower lip, and could not resist anymore as she said to her, "it’s too late? You should go
to sleep, mom."
With that, she walked toward the bedroom.
Diana suddenly stopped her. She looked at the box in her arms and asked curiously, "What is going
on? You quitted your job?"
Isabella turned his head back to look at her faintly happy expression, curled her lips, and still didn't
explain anything. She nodded his head heavily, "Yep, so you can rest assured now. Go to bed and you
don't need to cook breakfast for me tomorrow morning."
"You really quit?" Diana still could not believe that this workaholic daughter would suddenly resign
without any sign.
Isabella hugged her when she was free and smiled, "Mn, mmm, don't be suspicious, go sleep now."
"Am I dreaming?" Diana was stunned.
Isabella's eyebrows twitched, then she released her and returned to her bedroom without saying
anything.
After packing up her stuff, she then went to checked to see if Tristan had fallen asleep. After she
returned to the living room, she saw Diana wearing a pair of black—framed reading glasses, quickly
flipping through a book.
Surprised, she walked over and lowered her head to take a look. "Mom, what are you doing?"
Opening the book, the corner of her lips twitched once again. She asked doubtfully, "Mom, you're not
researching some kind of recipe, are you?"
Diana said without even raising her head, "I've already prepared this for a long time. From now on, I will
prepare three meals a day for you. I guarantee that I'll make you be healthy and give birth to two fat
babies."
She just waited her to quit the job.
Normally, seeing that her daughter worked so hard for her family, and she couldn't be even able make
her meals, Diana was truly burning with anxiety.
Isabella didn't know what to say. She quickly closed the book in Diana's hands and pulled her up,
urging her, "Mom, let me take a look at it first, and you should quickly go to sleep. It's too late if there's
anything we can talk about it during the day."
Diana was completely stunned by her urging. She blankly looked at the book in her arms and warned,
"Then, don't read it too late. Also, don't tear away the label I made."
Isabella rolled her eyes as she looked at the ceiling, and quickly responded with a smile, "Alright, you
should hurry up and go to sleep, there's no need to wake up so early in the morning."
She helplessly shook her head and casually put it aside. After that, he lowered his head to look at his
bulging stomach and muttered, "Baby, do you see that? Your grandma is worried sick about you two,
so you guys are not allowed to torture your mom!"
In the quiet room, her whispers drifted out. After she finished speaking, she stroked her belly, thinking
that even if they were able to hear her, they wouldn't be able to. She couldn't help but laugh for her
stupidity, her eyes filled with gentleness.
On the morning of the next day, Christian returned to the Mallory's apartment.
His mother was watering the flowers on the balcony. She turned her head and saw that he had
returned. Her expression did not even change as she continued to focus on her flowers.
Christian took off his jacket and handed it to Annie. He lifted his hand and rolled up the sleeves of his
shirt as he walked to her side. He then lightly called out, "Mom."
Mallory ignored him, carried the water bottle and continued to water her flowers.
Christian could not help but frown, "If you do not wish to see me, then I will come back another day."
Mallory's expression changed as she put down the water bottle heavily. "If you step out of this door
today, you don't need to come back in the future."
Christian did not move, and his tone didn't change. "Do you think you can solve this old trick?"
"If you can't, you don't need to come back." Mallory snorted coldly, walked to the living room and sat on
the sofa, with a cold noble woman's face, "When you return to Brighton, even if you didn't notify me,
you still wouldn't discuss the work you had done with me. Right now you stay with that woman every
day, do you still have your mother in your eyes? Can you still hear what I'm saying? "
Annie handed two cups of water to him. Christian walked over and took them, then slowly walked to the
side of the sofa and placed a cup of water in front of Mrs. Christian, saying indifferently, "I've said that I
will take care of these matters, I won't tell you about it because I don't want to trouble you. As for RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Isabella, you don't have to worry about it, I will only tell you that her children is mine.
"You!" Mallory was enraged, she pointed at him angrily, "Then why are you still coming back? Since
you've already planned everything in your heart, why did you come back to see me again? Are you
afraid that I won't die of anger? "
Mallory shook his head, walked to her side and sat down, his tone slightly relaxed, "You are more
rational than anyone else. How much of those online articles that are hype can you not tell? You don't
like her, and I didn't ask for her help. Just like how you didn't want to be cold for three years, you didn't
want to either? "
Mallory closed her eyes, her tone calm, "I don't care if it's true or false, I just don't want her to come
back to our family, and I don't want her as my daughter—in—law. If you want to marry her, then don't
come to visit my place anymore."
Concerning his f * cking personality, Christian also had a headache. He was the same as him, it was
hard to change him if he was determined.
"Then what do you want?"
Mallory quieted down. After a long while, she turned her head to look at him and said coldly, "Either
return to London now and properly manage your company or else get along with Little Snow in
Brighton."
Christian suppressed his anger, his tone still calm, "You like Lexie Ford that much?"
Mrs. Christian raised his eyebrows and no longer concealed it, "It's not that much, she's just the most
suitable for you."
Other than Lexie's mother who was a little more shrewd, she could easily see through the rest people
in the Perez'. Although Lexie Ford was also a little more shrewd, she was still a narrow—minded
person that could not stand a chance.
Christian squinted his eyes, and his tone became somewhat cold, "why you think that she suited me?
Even if Isabella isn't your ideal daughter—in—law, but she loves me. Do you think Lexie Ford would
love me a little more, or love you a little more? "
That woman had spent so much more time and effort on his mother than on him.
Mallory choked, her expression revealing a trace of guilt. She frowned, "Isn't it because of you that
Lexie is treating well me?"
"Maybe it's not just because of you and me, but we are the Miller family?" Christian sneered, his eyes
did not have much heat.
