KING ELIJAH

CHAPTER 18

I have been in this god forsaken cell for six days with no water and food. My other cell mates were no better as they have not been fed either. The only time I made contact with my captivators was when they came to cut a piece of my cloth.

Selena has not been returned after they took her that days, I can only pray that the moon keeps her safe.

I tugged at the chains that was locked to my arms and legs, After trying to break free from the chains, someone from the other cell was polite enough to let me know they were Enchanted and trying to break it was impossible.

My mind kept wondering back to Elijah but I always had to snap out of it- he betrayed me and I would never forgive him for that.

I heard footsteps and everybody shrink in the dark for fear of been taken by this monsters. They stopped at my cell and some sighed in relief.

The two men said nothing as they brought the keys to unlock the chains on my feet and arm. One of the men places his hand on my thigh-as he rubbed up and down, looking down at me like he was undressing me and I almost gag.

They harshly grabbed me by my arm and pulled me outside the cell. For the first time in six days, I was close enough to see a few of the other captives faces – mostly children and women. I couldn’t look at all their faces as I was dragged through another door.

I shut my eyes closed from the blinding lights if the bulbs hanging from the ceiling as it came in contact my sensitive eyes. The only light we had in the cells was from the moon and sun which could only shine a little through the tiny holes on the wall.

I was forced to open my eyes as the men kept on dragging me through the dirty hall, not giving me enough time to get use to the harsh light.

We halt in front of a door and one of the men knocked on it.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Come in” A very familiar voice that sent shivers down my body grunts and I gulp as he pushed the door open.

I was pushed to the ground and I hiss out in pain as my back of my palm scratched on the rough rug.

“Celeste” The rouge King called out to me and I looked up at him from my position. For the first time in two months, I got to the face of the man who has been causing havoc in the mythical and magical world.

On the left side of his face was a nasty scar that made him look very dangerous. He glare at me as i tried getting to by feet but I was pushed by one of the men behind me, making me knee in a submissive position.

I ball my hands in fist and gritted my teeth as I glared at him from the corner of my eyes. The rouge king cleared his throat and I snapped my eyes towards his.

“What do you want with me?” I asked trying to keep my tone strong but it came out weaker than I wanted and I initially cursed myself for it.

Derrick gave me a mocking smile as he moved his hand from the table and place it underneath his chin.

“I have no problem with you Celeste” he said getting to his feet and coming to stand in front of me as I stare up at him.

“But, my problem is with your king.” Derrick added as he squat down to my level while I glared at his blue eyes.

“I want what he has, I want his Kingdom and you Celeste,-” He grabbed my right hand that was resting on my thigh and turned it to the inside of my palm, “- can give that to me.”

I gulped as I watch him rub the mark on my arm with an evil smirk resting on his lips.

“No” I whispered as tears gathered in my eyes and I try moving my hand from his but he has a from grip on my arm.

“Y-you can-t do that” I breathed as a single tear dropped from my eyes.

He is going to kill me. He’s going to kill me and my unborn child. That was the only way to get to Elijah as well were both bonded.

“I’m sorry” He mumbled but from his tone and the way he kept looking at me, I knew he was far from sorry. “Take her away” he nodded to the men standing behind me and they grabbed me by my arms and drag me off of the office and back to the stinky cell.

As I sat silently in the cell with my hands and legs chained- I was determined to survive-survive for my child.

ELIJAH’S POV

I couldn’t stop thinking about what Cedric said to me four days ago- I had to let go of the past.

Sighing, I got up from my throne and walked down the hall that leads to the secret room. It was a room filled with red roses that no one was suppose to step into except me of course. Those who dare disobey that rule- well, let’s just say they are no more. I couldn’t afford for my subject to know what secret I was keeping behind that door.

I stood outside the door and brought out the key from my pocket and unlocked it. As I stepped in, the whispering of my dead mates voice fills my ear.

“Samantha” I breath as I walked in between the red roses that she loved so much.

She appeared before me and I couldn’t stop staring at her green eyes that reminds me of that of Celeste.

“Elijah” She whispered walking closer to me. I adverted my gaze from her cause I was ashamed, ashamed of what I had put her through.

“I’m sorry” I said closing my eyes tightly. “I’m so sorry”

“Elijah-” She said but I cut her off before she could continue talking.

“I was a selfish man Samantha. I-i knew you never loved me but I wanted you to myself, knowing that you were in love with another-my best friend. I took you away from the man you loved just Because I had the power and forced myself on you.” I said as tears fell from my eyes.

“I am so ashamed of myself. I thought I could Make you love me if we had a family, I thought everything would be alright once you see that I was the man for you because we were mates! But I was so blinded by my obsession to not see the harm I had cause you.”

“Elijah,” Samantha whispered as she held my cheeks and wipe the tears that escaped my eyes. “I forgive you” She added and my eyes widen.

“No..” I mumbled taking away her hand from my cheeks and shake my head. “You can’t forgive me”

“But I do Elijah” She muttered giving me a warm smile.

“I trapped you in here for seven years Samantha, Seven years!” I lamented as my body shook. “How can you forgive me so easily?” I asked staring at her face.

“Yes, you were in the wrong for forcing yourself on me and making me stay here against my will but all you wanted was love.” She said sadly as she bent down and pulled out one of the roses from the ground.

“I’m sorry I was unable to give you the love you desired. You are a good man Elijah, and I’m happy you found someone who truly loves you” She whispered and i watch as she takes my palm and place the rose on it.

“Do the right thing Elijah” She said bringing her soft cold lips to my cheek and placing a tender kiss there.

She takes a few steps back and gave me a nod and I nodded back before snapping the pendant that kept her soul trapped from my neck. I placed it above one of the lighted candles and watched as it turned to ashes.

Samantha gave me a small smile before fading into thin air and I release a sigh. It was like a weight have been lifted off my shoulders.

The roses that were planted in the room started to wither and die except for the one Samantha placed on my palm.

All that is left now is to defeat Derrick and bring back Celeste.
