Chapter 969: Do You Believe in Fate?
After a few seconds of eye contact with Brandon, Zane flicked the cigarette ash and replied, "Maybe
just a little."
Brandon chuckled upon hearing Zane's response, "So, don't rush. What you want is on the way; it will
come eventually."
Zane looked at Brandon and asked, "Do you believe in fate?"
Leaning back, Brandon responded, "I still do."
In truth, many things in life are predetermined, and no matter how much you try to change them, they
will still happen. It's like meeting someone - if it's destined to happen, it will, no matter how late. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
The relationship that is meant to be will be.
Just like him and Sandy.
Zane finished his cigarette, crushed the butt in the ashtray, and spoke in a seemingly confiding tone,
"Lately, she's been preoccupied with something from the past, which has been affecting her mood."
Brandon understood Zane's words without difficulty.
After Zane spoke, Brandon softly said, "These things can't be rushed. When the time is right, they will
naturally come. You should stay calm and composed; you never know when they might just show up
out of the blue."
Hearing Brandon's words, Zane chuckled, "I'll take your word for it. What's meant to be will come."
Brandon smiled, "Believe me, sometimes what I say turns out to be pretty accurate."
Zane nodded, "Alright, I'll trust you on this one."
"Trust me," Brandon affirmed.
After discussing this topic, Zane couldn't help but think about Anthony. He looked at Brandon and said,
"Be cautious with Anthony; he can be unpredictable."
Brandon retorted, "Sandy told me that Anthony had helped her before; he was like her savior. I can't
complain about that, can I?"
"He has feelings for Sandy. Can't you see or feel it?" Zane said in a hushed voice.
"I can see it, and I can feel it. But Sandy doesn't like him. Even if he's not the best person, he treats her
like a gentleman," Brandon explained.
Brandon had Berton investigate Anthony's background, including his family history, when the news
about Anthony and Sandy's encounter at the festival broke out. Therefore, Brandon knew about
Anthony's feelings for Sandy. Anthony wasn't the type to cling to someone he liked or insist on getting
what he wanted. He knew how to draw the line when it came to Sandy.
If not, when the incident at the festival was exposed, Anthony could have directly admitted to it or taken
other actions to use the situation to his advantage. Sandy's reputation would have been ruined, and
Anthony could have even used that to blackmail her. However, Anthony had done none of those things.
Even today, when fans surrounded them, Anthony promptly arranged for people to help disperse the
crowd. Although Hiruma said Anthony was not in Manches City, Brandon believed Anthony was there.
At the airport, Anthony was present and even watched them from a certain car parked in a parking
spot.
Upon hearing Brandon's evaluation of Anthony, Zane couldn't help but laugh, "You hold him in high
regard."
Brandon chuckled, "What? Is he a two-faced person, pretending to be someone else in front of people
and showing his true colors behind their backs?"
Zane didn't directly confirm or refute Brandon's words; he simply said in a low voice, "Beware of
others."
Brandon nodded, "I understand what you mean. Rest assured, I know what I'm doing."
Zane nodded, "You should go rest for a while too. I have a video conference to attend."
Brandon glanced at the time, "You go ahead, I'll go check on Sandy."
Zane agreed and watched Brandon head to the guest room before making his way to the study.
Meanwhile, at the black market...
Hiruma truthfully reported the situation to Anthony. After listening, Anthony's expression changed
slightly, and he asked in a serious tone, "She doesn't look well? Is she sick?"
Hiruma shook his head, "Not sure. She didn't look great; it might be because she was tired from the
flight. After all, she's pregnant..."
Hiruma stopped mid-sentence, feeling worried about Anthony's reaction.
Anthony chuckled, "Are you concerned that I can't handle it?"
Hiruma heard Anthony's words and shook his head, "No, I just thought... this kind of thing shouldn't be
mentioned in front of you."
Anthony smiled, "But it's all true. She likes someone, and they like each other. They're having a child
and will get married, becoming a family. I have no place in this, no chance whatsoever."
Anthony then reached for a glass on the table, raised it to his lips, and took a sip. "Hiruma, have you
ever had feelings for someone?"
Hiruma was about to answer, but Anthony cut in, "Never mind, your flirtations with those girls don't
count."
Hiruma retorted, "Anthony, why do you always end up roasting me during our conversations?"
Anthony lifted his eyes to look at Hiruma's face and asked, "How's the investigation I asked you to do
before?"
"You mean the incident with Miss Thompson's male fan?" Hiruma confirmed.
Anthony replied with a grunt.
Hesitating for a moment, Hiruma proceeded to tell Anthony the rough details of the incident, including
the instigators being Mr. Aaron and Miss Belle.
After hearing Hiruma's report, Anthony furrowed his brow, "Do they have nothing better to do?"
With that said, Anthony grabbed his phone, dialed Aaron's number, and called him directly.
When Aaron answered the phone, Anthony wasted no time, "Do you have time right now?"
Aaron was taken aback by Anthony's straightforward question, then replied in a low voice, "Yes, what's
up, Big Brother?"
"Did you have a hand in the Sandy fan incident before?" Anthony cut to the chase.
Aaron's surprised expression was evident even over the phone, "Big Brother, is that the only reason
you called me?"
"If not that, why would I be calling you? To find you a job in the entertainment industry?" Anthony
teased.
"That's not what I meant. I just..." Aaron tried to explain.
"Aaron, what you do in the industry is your business, and I won't interfere. I might even help you if it's
convenient, but don't mess with Sandy." Anthony interrupted before Aaron could finish his sentence.
Upon hearing Anthony's words, Aaron hesitated slightly, "Big Brother, what's your relationship with
Sandy?
