Chapter 851: Fukuma Treats Me to a Meal

After listening to Sandy, Bonnie waved her hand as if shooing away mosquitoes. "Well, forget it. I'm

more comfortable living in the small villa."

"Bonnie, don't you want to be neighbors with me?" Sandy interjected. "I also want to be Yanis'

neighbor. I'll have Brandon buy it for me tonight!"

Bonnie raised an eyebrow. "... Is Mr. Hawkins that rich?"

Yanis chimed in, "He should be wealthy; otherwise, Sandy wouldn't dare say such things."

Sandy looked serious. "I'm rich too!"

Bonnie glanced at Sandy. "I heard your paychecks are high?"

Sandy shook her head. "Many celebrities show off their wealth, but this world, you know, is full of dark

corners that are hard to guard against."

Upon hearing Sandy's words, Bonnie suddenly remembered that Sandy had recently transferred from

Simsang Entertainment to Gotrend Entertainment. It must have been because there were too many

dark aspects in Simsang Entertainment that Sandy decided not to sign with any other company at the

peak of her career.

"Don't worry, once you ask, Mr. Hawkins can definitely afford it," Yanis whispered to Sandy.

Sandy chuckled. "Of course, I'm sure. I chose Brandon precisely because I was attracted to Mr.

Hawkins' money."

Bonnie looked at Sandy with disdain. "You've had enough. You're just showing off."

Sandy firmly replied, "At a time like this, shouldn't your concern be that I'm a shallow girl?"

Bonnie retorted, "What kind of person you are, I can tell. If it's about money, Mr. Lawrence from Yanis'

family is much wealthier than your Mr. Hawkins. Why didn't you try to flirt with him back then?"

Sandy shook her head. "Although I love money, I still have my limits. Mr. Lawrence is a married man, NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

and even if he's rich and attractive, I wouldn't want him."

Bonnie nodded approvingly. "That's a good girl."

In reality, Sandy's choice of Brandon wasn't solely for his money, as she claimed. If we're talking about

true wealth, when Sandy and Brandon started dating, Brandon had less money in his pocket than

Sandy did. So, the person who could make Sandy fall in love despite the age difference must have had

his own merits.

Brandon had put in a lot of effort to win Sandy over. At that time, Sandy was much more willful than she

appears now. Many of the things she wanted came with a hint of emotion. Especially during holidays,

her demands were often emotionally charged. She had to have what others had, and she needed to

have what others didn't. That strong desire for ceremonial significance seemed ingrained in her.

Therefore, when Sandy said she was attracted to Brandon because of his money, it could indeed be

considered a valid reason. After all, if Brandon didn't have some money at that time, he would have

had to spend his entire fortune on gifts and celebrations for Sandy.

After the three of them finished viewing the houses, they headed to Stella's house. Originally, they

planned to go shopping, but to accommodate Bonnie's special situation, they decided against it.

Besides, Sandy's identity made it inconvenient as well, so their home was the safest place.

On their way back, Yanis parked the car at the mall and bought a lot of things. Bonnie couldn't move

around, and Sandy couldn't easily go shopping, so Yanis went alone. She carried numerous bags and

made several trips to fit all the items into the car.

"How much did you buy?" Bonnie leaned against the car window, watching Yanis move things into the

trunk and couldn't help but ask.

Yanis glanced at Bonnie, "You've been talking about what you want to eat, and I bought everything

Sandy wanted to eat."

"Wow, Boss Thompson, your memory is so good now. We mentioned it once, and you remembered?"

Bonnie smirked.

Yanis finished placing the items and looked up at Bonnie. "Actually, I can still return some of it. Should I

give it a try?"

Bonnie chuckled, "Boss Thompson, you're amazing."

Yanis ignored Bonnie and closed the trunk. Then she pushed the shopping cart to the designated area

near the entrance of the mall.

As she turned to walk towards the car, she heard a familiar voice behind her.

Yanis stopped and turned around when she heard the voice.

Fukuma approached from the side and said, "Miss Thompson, it really is you. I thought I was

mistaken."

Yanis was surprised to see Fukuma and asked, "What are you doing here?"

Fukuma explained, "I live nearby. I came out with my mom to buy something, and I happened to see

someone who looked a lot like you. I thought I was mistaken."

Yanis smiled, "I bought some things and I'm heading back."

Fukuma looked at Yanis and asked, "Miss Thompson, are you alone? If it's convenient, can I treat you

to a meal?"

Upon hearing this, Yanis politely declined, "It might not be convenient. I have a friend in the car."

Fukuma looked a little disappointed and nodded, "Can we do it next time then? Or maybe tomorrow?"

Just as Yanis was about to refuse, Fukuma's voice interrupted, "Miss Thompson, I've always wanted to

thank you. I never had the chance before, and I didn't have your contact information, so I couldn't reach

out to you. Please let me treat you to a meal. Can I?"

At this point, Yanis felt it would be difficult to refuse. After hesitating for a moment, she agreed, "Alright,

let's do it tomorrow."

Fukuma picked up her phone, "Let me save your contact information."

Yanis nodded and gave her phone number to Fukuma.

After saving Yanis' phone number, Fukuma didn't want to keep her any longer. "You can go back now,

Miss Thompson. I won't disturb you anymore."

Yanis responded, "Okay, I'll head back then."

"See you tomorrow, Miss Thompson."

"See you tomorrow."

Just as Yanis got into the car, Bonnie looked at her and asked, "Yanis, who were you talking to just

now?"

While starting the car, Yanis replied, "Fukuma."

Surprised by Yanis' answer, Bonnie said, "Fukuma, the one who was with Ahmed?"

Yanis nodded, "She said she wanted to treat me to a meal. Initially, I wanted to refuse, but she went so

far in her request that I felt bad turning her down."

Bonnie advised, "Since she asked, you can go, but don't go alone."

"What can she do to me?" Yanis asked.

Bonnie said, "I still think she's a bit dangerous."

Bonnie hadn't forgotten what happened at the University of Armstrong last time.

Yanis whispered, "She's no longer involved with Ahmed now, and besides, Ahmed is dead."

Speaking of Ahmed, Bonnie looked at Yanis and asked, "By the way, why did the Hajjar family

suddenly go silent? Were they assassinated?"

Sandy was originally listening to the gossip, but when she heard Bonnie's question, she couldn't help

but burst into laughter. "In this world, who could possibly assassinate them?"
