How I Remarry My Ex-Wife by Alvin Humphre

Chapter 7

Whitney didn’t house to go home

Thuve years agos, against objections, she married Things. Now, it was clear her choice was wrong. Whitney felt sorry to hurting her father and brothers, who loves her. She couldn’t face thems

She just wanted to be alone

Ultimately, she went to Jonale’s house, los king herself in a room

Sitting in front of the computer. Whitney couldn’t stop replaying the scene from the hospital in her mind.

They weren’t divorced yet. Thiago was still her husband. Yet, he cared for mother woman in public, and that wasn’t the first time he let her down

Thiago Mackenzie, don’t blame me for being heartless since you were the one who hurt me first!’ Whitey yelleil inwardly

She turned on the computer and logged into her long neglected Twitter account. Tons of people, some pretty big names, had slid into her DMs, all worried about her. Whitney shot messages back to a couple of them.

Meanwhile, a knock sounded. Upon hearing Whitney’s response, Jouali entered.

“Some friends suggested hanging out tonight. Want to come along?” asked Jonah.

The thought just made Whitney tired. She promptly declined, “No, I’m tired and want to sleep early” She had this divorce thing to sort out with ‘Thiago tomorrow, Party time was the last thing on her mind.

After Jonah left. Whitney just zonked out on the bed. After nights of tossing and turning, she was out like a light.

The next morning. Whitney woke up early.

Standing by the window, watching the sun peek out, she felt a bit more upbeat than yesterday.

After one night. Whimey had come around. It was useless to force a man who didn’t love her to stay. She’d only end up hurting herself by forcing others. Divorce was a form of relief. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

However, Whitney wouldn’t allow a divorce to tarnish her reputation. She was determined to seek justice for herself.

Checking the time, she entered the bathroom to freshen up. She slipped into this snazzy light blue suit Jonah had picked out, and felt like a new person.

At precisely eight in the morning, Whitney arrived at the courthouse, but Thiago was nowhere to be seen.

Half an hour passed. Finally antsy, she dialed Thiago’s number. Tim waiting out front. Where are you?” she asked.

On the other end of the phone, Thiago was stummed. ‘She’s actually going through with this?”

“I’ll be right there,” he said, sounding pissed, then hung up. He was at the hospital taking care of Quincey, and it wasn’t far away from the courthouse. It took him only a few minutes to drive there.

Thiago narrowed his eyes upon seeing the well–dressed Whitney standing not far away from him.

He had never truly noticed Whitney’s beauty before.

She exuded a refined elegance, evoking a sense that she should be admired from afar, with reverence and respect. However, this fleeting thought crossed his mind and vanished in an instant.

“Do you really want a divorce?” Thiago questioned.

Whitney began, “L…”

“I’m busy. If you want a divorce, hurry up. Thiago interrupted her impatiently.

Whitney couldn’t help but give a mocking laugh. She laughed at her foolishness, naively thinking that Thiago wanted to salvage their relationship.

Suppressing her sadness, Whitney indifferently replied, “Mr. Mackenzie, I know you’re busy. Don’t worry. I won’t tal up too much of your time.”

Thiago could feel the burn in her words. Nobody got under his skin quite like that. Something about Whitney was different. She wasn’t the easygoing, obedient girl she’d been, the one who never rocked the boat.

The sudden change in her attitude disgusted him.
