His Games, Her Rules

Twenty Nine

“Then show me.”

“I would if you let me take you to dinner.”

I didn’t expect that answer from him and he could see the surprise written on my face. I lean back on my seat, arms crossed underneath my chest as I grin.

“Are you asking me out on a date?”

“I am.” So blunt, isn’t he?

Dominique exhales and leans forward, his fingers slowly running up and down the back of my palm. I want to pull away, but I don’t.

“You could just agree to my offer, a friendly dinner, no strings attached and I’ll show you how much you want me to do things to you. I could see it in your eyes, the need, the desire. You want me, Robyn, you want me to slam you against the wall and let my fingers worship every part of your body, while I whisper dirty things into your ear,” he’s whispering now, voice deep and husky and seductive. “You’re imagining it right now. Me on my knees and your right thigh over my shoulder as I tease your sensitive flesh in between your legs with my fingers and then I’ll use my tongue, tasting every bit of you as I eat you out.”

Oh boy. He’s good. He’s fucking good.

My mouth is slightly open, my breathing shallow, and my eyes hold his gaze. My hands are clammy, my mouth dry, and my toes curl. He’s right. I imagined everything, every dirty promise he’s whispering to me right now, I’m imagining everything. And the more he talks, the more I can feel the tension build in between my legs, begging for release.

How dare he say things like that to me and not expect me to break?

But I’m not going to give him the satisfaction that he’s right. He doesn’t have to know that I’ve thought about him doing all of these things he’s promised.

“And you’re going to enjoy it, every bit of it. And you won’t help but beg for more.” He finishes his words as he leans back, his fingers leaving me empty as he watches me carefully with a smug look on his perfect face.

Why do I have a feeling he still has a lot to say?

“You done?” I ask, leaning forward this time.

The smug look on his face disappears immediately replaced by a genuine confused look.

This asshole wasn’t expecting my reply, was he?

“You want me, don’t you?”

“Have I ever said otherwise?” Dominique raises his eyebrows. “I have wanted you ever since the night at that party when I saw you in that red dress.”

“The night you told me I owed you?”

“That’s correct. And I’ve not been subtle about it either. And as I said earlier I am a patient man, and we’re both adults, I know what I want and you know what you want. What’s holding us back from getting what we both want? Even if it’s for one night. One night of pleasure. One you won’t be able to forget even though you try.”

“God, you’re so fucking blunt.”

“I believe women are turned on by a man who’s honest. Argue it or not, you know it’s true. You like how blunt I am. And I’m not gonna beat around the bush on how much I want you. But I won’t force you, I like my women consenting. I know you want me too, Robyn, you just don’t want to admit it, afraid you’re going to lose this game after you told me you would never fuck me.”

“I wasn’t bluffing.”

There’s a long silence. Dominique still holds my gaze, his eyes darker than usual as he watches me.

“How long are you gonna keep that up?”

“Keep what up?”

“You know what I mean, Robyn. How long are you gonna keep pretending to hate me when you and I know it’s the opposite.”

The nerve of this man.

“Keep telling yourself that.”

“Well, indulge me then. What’s it about me that you hate so much?”

I stay silent. Because even though I claim to despise this man, I can’t come up with anything other than the fact that he reminds me of my past self. And I feel like he could see through me. Dominique brings out the woman in me that I’ve locked far away in my head and that just scares me. He makes me feel things, strange things that I never expected to feel and I loathe him for that.

I hate him because he’s everything I should stay away from but can’t.

He’s the one thing I shouldn’t want but can’t help it.

I hate that I go to sleep some nights and I see him in my dreams, taunting me because I may have touched myself to sleep with the memory of him touching me instead.

Dominique leans forward and slowly he smirks. “Let me guess. You hate the fact that I make you wet without actually touching you.

“God, you’re so fucking confident.”

“Is that right?” His gaze falls to my chest. “Well, your nipples beg to differ.”

I follow his gaze down to my breast and fuck, my nipples are hard, rubbing against the fabric of my scrubs. Shit.

Why the fuck did I choose to not wear a bra today?

I clear my throat and adjust my scrubs, running my fingers through my hair. Dominique smirks, obviously enjoying my discomfort.

“Look, I get it. This is hard for you, you’ve never been turned down by a woman before so you’re trying to make me fall for your charms, which by the way, is not working.”

“What makes you think I’ve never been turned down?”

“You’re Dominique Gray. One of New York’s most eligible bachelors. You’re attractive, hot”

“So you think I’m attractive and hot?” He asks, a smug grin on his face.

I internally groan, biting my lip as I roll my eyes.

“I think you know that already, so don’t act surprised.”

“Mmm. I never knew you thought I was hot. That’s a plus for me.”

“Keep flattering yourself.”

“And I’ve been rejected before, a few times actually. Not every girl wants to fuck me, Robyn, a lot of them want a relationship, something I’m not willing to offer, so they turn me down because they don’t want to be something else. And I don’t chase them because I don’t find them interesting enough. But you, Robyn” he exhales and leans forward, giving me a full view of his perfect face and how the stubble makes him look hotter, forbidden. His blue eyes hold my gaze, staring into my brown ones intently. “You’re more than interesting. You fascinate me, if I’m being honest. And trust me when I say it takes a lot as a woman to hold my attention and you’ve done more than that.” He says as he leans back on his seat, his arms spread over his chair.

I’m speechless. No man has ever made me speechless before. I always have a thing or two to say as a response but this man sitting in front of me, he’s made me speechless and I have a feeling he knows what he’s done.

“Why are you here?” I finally found my voice.

“Camilla fainted, that’s why I’m here.”

He knows what I mean, but yet he’s acting like he doesn’t.

“You know what I mean, Dominique. What are you doing here?”

He exhales as he taps his long fingers on the back of the chair he’s currently occupying.

“We haven’t had time to talk since that day at my house. You know the day, right?”

I bite my bottom lip, looking anywhere else but Dominique. I can’t believe he’s trying to make me remember that embarrassing moment of my life.

“I’m not an alcoholic and I don’t always behave the way I behaved the other day. I believe I may have said some things I shouldn’t have said while intoxicated. I may have given you the wrong impression.”

“Mmm. Is that so? If I recall what you said, you said you liked to play games, and you like them dirty, rough, and hard…” he whispers, his voice deep and smooth.

I squeeze my legs together, wishing every cell in my body wouldn’t react this way toward him. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this sexually attracted to anyone. When Damien and I were together, I didn’t react this way toward him. That spark, that electricity wasn’t there in our relationship. But Dominique is yet to touch me, and I am already a puddle under his scrutinizing gaze.

I don’t trust myself around him and that terrifies me.

Fuck him.

And speaking about that night, I don’t think he’s seen the panties that I forgot in his house, or if he had, he would have brought it up. It’s either he hasn’t seen it or he has and he’s probably waiting for me to bring it up.Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

Helen may have seen it on the floor of the bathroom while cleaning and she must have picked it up. Did she throw it away? Can she do that without showing it to her boss? The thought alone mortifies me and I want to sink into my chair.

How could I forget my panties in Dominique Gray’s house? It may look like nothing but it was fucking sensual. I wonder what his reaction would be when he finally finds my red lace panties.

Aroused? Surprised? Or maybe both?

“I was drunk, Dominique. That doesn’t mean shit. And I apologize if I was a handful. I don’t always get drunk to the point of vomiting or talking about… sex.” I roll my eyes. “That wasn’t me.”

“I don’t believe you.”

“You don’t believe me?”

“That’s right. I don’t. As much as I find this side of you attractive, the other side of you, the side you showed me that night, that was the real you. You’re a little temptress, aren’t you? And that little temptress is in desperate need of a release and that’s something you shouldn’t be ashamed of. And as I’ve said a million times, I want you, I want to feel every inch of you and fuck me if your constant denial doesn’t turn me the fuck on. And the other side of you that you showed me the other night, the wild side of you,” Dominique smirks, biting his bottom lip. “that wild side of you knows what she wants. And God knows I’ve imagined you in different ways and in different positions, all of which I’m sure you’re going to enjoy.”

“And what’s that?” I whisper, my heart beating too fast against my chest as I lock eyes with him. “What is it you think that I want?”

“Dinner and I will show you.”

“If that’s your way of planning to have me on your bed, you’re going to have to try harder, Dominique.”

Dominique chuckles, raising one perfect brow as he smiles. The little show of emotion catches me off guard. I’ve never seen Dominique smile before. I’ve gotten used to the blank stares, the seductive smirk, and the nonchalant look, never have I seen Dominique smile.

But boy, does he look hotter when he smiles?

“Are you afraid you’re gonna fall?”

“No. Trust me, it takes more than just sweet words and dinner to get me in bed, Dominique.”

“I know. Why don’t you tell me what I have to do to get you in bed then?” Dominique cocks his head to the side as he watches me carefully.

I exhale. “You’re going to have to find out, wouldn’t you?” I flash him a smug smile, gathering my things as I sit up. “As much as I enjoy this little chat of ours, I’m going to have to call it a day. See you around, Dom.” I stand up slowly, smirking at the attractive man in front of me as I turn to leave.

I stop on my track, turning toward Dominique whose full attention is on me. “Oh, and by the way…” I walk toward the table, hands on the head of the chair as I lean forward, with Dominique’s blue eyes staring into mine. “I may have left a little present for you to hold on to, you know… while you fantasize about fucking me. A little hint. It’s lacy, red, thin, and almost see-through.” I whisper.

Slowly, Dominique’s smug look turns to surprise as he raises his eyebrows. I smirk, satisfied by the turn of events as I stand upright. I wink at Dominique, biting my bottom lip as I turn around and walk away.
