His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 2910

"You are Avery Tate, right? This baby belongs to your people... If you want him, you need to pay me," the woman said to Avery. "The person who sent me told me that you would pay me if I handed the baby to you. Just look at the weather today! It's not easy for me to travel all this way with your baby!"

The servant hurried over and placed the jacket across Avery's shoulders, just in time to hear what the woman had said. "We don't even know whose baby this is yet! Bring the baby's mother here to talk to us!" The servant was firmly on Avery's side.

Avery and Elliot had had a harmonious marriage, and they had four children together.

'Why would there be an illegitimate child out of nowhere? How will Avery accept this? How are Avery's children going to take this?' the servant thought.

"There's no point in you arguing with me! I'm just here to deliver the baby. If you refuse to pay me, then... I won't hand the baby over," the woman said angrily, dumbfounded that they felt no pity for the baby who was outside in the cold.

Avery was stunned by the sight before her and could not feel the cold at all.

Shortly after, Elliot strode over. "What's going on?"

The servant immediately walked over to explain the situation to him.

When the woman heard Elliot's voice, she perked up and shouted, "Are you Elliot Foster? This is your kid! You will have to pay me if you want him!"

'My kid?' Elliot thought as he walked swiftly toward the woman to see what was happening.

When Avery saw Elliot approach the baby, a sharp pain pierced through her chest.

She had never expected the love of her life to cheat on her and have a child with another woman.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

All the sweet memories she shared with Elliot shattered in her mind, and she felt as though she had been struck by lightning.

She refused to be humiliated in such a manner and gritted her teeth before running back into the house with her fists clenched.

The servant noticed her flushed face and knew that Avery was about to explode with rage. "Avery, don't get mad just yet! Let Mr. Foster explain!" The servant hurried after Avery.

Elliot knew that Avery was upset and

that she had gone back into the house, but he was still clueless about the situation and needed to clarify it, or he would never be able to prove his innocence.

"Are you sure that this is my kid?" Elliot glanced at the baby and asked.

"You can run a DNA test, right? Why don't you find out? The person who told me to deliver the baby to you said that it's yours, anyway. Do you want to baby or not? If you don't want am, I'm just going to take him with me!" the woman threatened. "I pity this little guy. Who knows what could happen to him if I send him to an orphanage?"

Elliot's head was pounding as he listened to the woman blabbering.

'If this woman dares to suggest a DNA test it might mean that this really is my child, but I haven't laid a hand on a woman apart from Avery, so how could I have an illegitimate child? What is going on?' he thought.

Elliot wanted to run a DNA test on the baby to prove his innocence but, at the same time, feared that it would be a trap.

There were plenty of mysteries in the world that could not be explained.

The baby's cries became louder as time went by, and he was wailing at a deafening volume.
