Chapter 3 How did you get here?
**
“Ho.. how did you get here?. Ah,”he paused and touched his forehead.
“I mean, it’s quite early and..”he puffed out.
“I heard getting murdered by dawn is quite nice.”she grinned.
“What?”
She rolled her eyes with a sigh.
“At least, let me in.”she pushed him aside and sashayed inside, dragging her boxes along.
Gregory shuts the door with a confused look retained on his pretty face.
“In case if you’re going to murder me, wouldn’t it be nice to lose my existence in this cold but beautiful morning?”she smirks.
Gregory itched the back of his neck and let’s out a nervous smile.
“I see.”
“But,”his eyes went down to her luggage boxes.
“All… this?”he pointed at them.
“Of course. I’m practically going to be living here.”she sucks a breath in.
“First things first. Let’s sign the contract before I start writing you your stories.”she clamped her hands together.
“Oh, yeah. I will send it to you.”he tapped on his phone.
“Your house is nice.”she commented as she roamed her eyes around.
“I think so too.”he replies, while operating his phone.
She glanced at him and release a scoff.
*He could have just said Thank you.*she thoughts.
She nips at her bottom lip and sighed.
She opened one of her box and brought out a bowl full of potato fries and a small cup of ketchup.
“Your kitchen is that way, right?”that doesn’t seem to be a question as she walked towards it without getting his reply.
When she got to the kitchen, she screamed.
“Holy moly! This is three times bigger than my room.”
Then, she pops her head out of the door.
“Do you even cook here?. It’s so clean.”
“And… sent. Check your phone. I just sent the contract. Read and see if there is anything that doesn’t sits well with you. Also, I do not appreciate you touching my personal things. That’s rule number one.”
Beatrice scoffed and flicked her hair back proudly.
*What an arrogant son of a b! tch.*she cursed.
“Don’t cross the line too. That’s rule two. And rule three,”he stopped talking.
“Once there is another one, I will let you know. Also, speak with honorifics. We are not a long – time buddy, you know.”he frowns.
Beatrice sneered at him before smiling.
“May I ask you what this is about also, sir?. You suddenly wants me as your personal writer, I..”
“I will go straight to the point. I’m suffering, but your stories does find a way to calm me down. I suffer every hour, and so, you have to write me stories every hour. The contract term is three months, if you fail to heal me by that time, I will..”he took a gulp down and looks away.
“You would leave me no choice but to kill you.”he dropped the bombshell.
Beatrice eyes almost fell out from their sockets.
She jerks back in fear and she felt an alarm shrilled in her head.
What the hell?
He is gonna kil.. kill her if… if…
She suddenly finds it hard to breathe.
He gazed at her.
His face was impassionate.
There was a big different between the guy who opened the door for her and the one standing here before her.
Sweats forms up on her forehead.
“.. because nobody knows my secret and goes scot free. It’s the habit of you humans to betray.”his eyes grew darker.
“You.. you’re not human?..”she stutters.
Her hand slides up to her mouth.
His veins shoots out and she held her ears and screamed out.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“Help!!!! A werewolf is in here!!! Help!!”
“Were… wolf?”
“Oh, God. He is about to shift. Help!!”
“This is an island. No one is around to come to your rescue.”
“Oh, no!! I’m stuck with a wolf on the Island!!”tears streamed down her face.
Gregory looks at her as if she’s lost it.
His lips vibrated in small laughter.
He kinda of find her amusing but that only lasted for a short period of time.
“I am a human! Is that okay now?”he shouts.
She stopped screaming and looked at him blankly.
“You.. you are sure you’re not a wolf?”she stutters.
“Of course – I am not. Do I have to pluck out my eyes before you believe me?”he rolled his eyes ball to the side.
“Really?, you’re sure?. You… you are not gonna let out your fangs, yes?, no growls too?”she gibbers.
“I will give you ten minutes to go through the contract. Report to my room once you’re done. Your work start now.”
“What?, now?! Ten minutes to read the contract?”she blurts out.
He ignored her and started heading towards the stairs, with his left hand kept in his pocket.
“And why do I have to report to your room?. I will write the stories here and send to your phone.”
He stopped dead in his tracks and spun around.
“I—maybe seeing you as you write could be a perfect drug also.”he pressed his lips together.
“Ah…”she mouthed and scoffed.
“Just to let you know that I will always check out of this island every weekend till the contract ends.”
He gave a shrug.
“You will have to compensate me for that.”he smirks.
“Huhhh?”she gawped at him.
“Ten chapters for taking a day off. And, you have to get back before dusk.”he took his lips in.
“Woah, this guy is awesomely nuts.”Beatrice folded her arms under her chest.
“I don’t think you have much time for this. You just wasted five minutes.. now you’re only left with five minutes to go through the contract.”
“Hey!”she barked.
“Even if I do finish reading the contract within that time, do you think I could produce a chapter immediately?. What’s up with you all readers thinking writers are machines???”she lost it.
“Ah, really?”he turned to her fully.
“I’m the boss here. I pay you and everything I say must be respected by you. How dare you raise your voice at me, hun?”he snickers.
“And, I am a reader, not readers. Whatever and however I said I want my story, so be it.”with one hard look, he left.
Beatrice released a breath and brushed her back in fury.
She nipped at her lower lip and scoffs.
This guy is a totally nutcase!
She brought out her phone from her bag which she hung around her neck.
She switched on her data and a message from Instagram pops in.
She clicked on it and downloaded the file he sent then opened it.
She scrolled down to the contents and scoffed when she saw a clause that stated she has to obey his every words.
What the fuck?!
She moved towards the stairs and raced it up.
*Where is his room though?*she thoughts when she stood, faced with various rooms.
She heard sounds coming from a particular one and she stomped to it and kicked it open.
“Obey his every words?. Can you explain what you meant by that, IntrovertBoy?”she questioned as she walks in.
She exclaimed in shock when she spotted him in front of the restroom door with a blue towel wrapped around his waist.
Her mouth opened helplessly she hugs her phone to her chest.
It felt like a deva ju!
Oh, of course. She’s written about this scene before in her novel and experiencing this now is..
Her jaw drops in shock as she helplessly drools on..
“Mr IntrovertBoy, you are so hot.”the words slipped out of her mouth, unconsciously.
His brows creased up in a frown.
“What?”he scoffs.
That question seems to be have brought her back to her senses as she turned around, away from you.
“I–i will come back later.”she took a hard gulp in and left.
As soon as she was out of the room, she let’s out a deep breath.
Ugh, why was she like that, hun?
She shouldn’t have gone inside his room in the first place.
She puffed out some air and ran her hand inside her hair.
She started walking away and just as she was about to take the stairs down, she paused.
“I should wait.”she mumbled and turned back.
She scuttled back to his room and stood in front of his door.
She checks the time on her phone.
7:49am.
She gave a nod and started humming.
She tapped her fingers on her body slowly.
Which story should he write for him though?
He said he is suffering, so wouldn’t a sweet romance or comedy novel wear his suffering away?
Nah, no.
If someone is suffering, what they need best is a story about someone that also suffers like they do.
“Perfect.”she snaps her fingers.
She would make the male lead a total psychopath who enjoys killing. He is wounded deeply in his heart. He lost his parents in a tragic accident that seems almost arranged and then he met the FL and was ready to throw his dark past away and start a new life with her, but she was not really in love in with him but his money.
“Uhm.. this is going to be so good..”she smiled out.
She glanced at the time on her phone before yelling out,
“IntrovertBoy, you done?!”he should be. It’s almost thirty minutes now.
“You’ve… been standing out there?”his faint voice came from the inside.
She took that as a “I’m done” and barged into the room.
“Fuck!!”she cursed loudly and turned back immediately.
“You really have no patience, huh?”he said Ina pant as he pulled up his trouser.
“You should have told me you’re still dressing, gosh. All done?”
He grabs a shirt from his wardrobe and wore it.
“Why are you here?”he asked hoarsely while moving to the percolator device to make himself a coffee.
She spun around and snorts.
“Care to explain your *must obey every words* in the contract. Look here, IntrovertBoy, I get you’re.. oh, what am I even saying. To look at this in the more brighter light, you are the one that needs me the most. Also, I’m a writer not a Right her! You have no rights o..”
“Money speaks a lot.”he responded.
“I do guess I’m not the one that needs this. Your mother is sick, right?. And, you need money to pay for her surgery?”
What?
Beatrice stood there, transfixed.
She sneered at him and scattered her hair.
“You.. you ran a background check on me?”
He puts some cream and sugar in his coffee and took a quick sip.
“As your boss, it’s only natural.”
“Screw this! What if I say I’m not interested in this rubbish anymore? You think I..”
“The choice isn’t yours to make.”he cuts in then moved towards his bed.
“I’m sorry about that.”he chuckled and sat down.
“What do you mean?”
“You walked in here with your legs, but you won’t be able to do that on your way out. You are the one that controls your entrance. I will be the one to decide when you leave.”he chortled and took a gulp of his coffee.
“You’re right, you’re stuck on the island, not with a werewolf, but with me. I will leave you to find out who I really am, Author.”he grinned.
