Chapter 26
Chapter 26
Jamie got a cage.
A bird cage made of pure gold that can hold Emma.
Emma was in the cage. Jamie came in and turned on the light at the door.
The warm yellow light spread to Emma. The ragged clothes on her body made her a different kind of
temptation, which made Jamie a little excited.
He approached to Emma, passing the plate through a square window, and squatted down to see
Emma's next reaction.
However, Emma did not move, as if she were dead.
She had tried to escape, but she was caught back every time. Jamie treated her like an interesting toy.
He caught her again and again but didn't deal with her. He just liked to see the flustered response of
his prey.
He thought it was interesting.
Later, he even locked her in the bird cage and enjoyed her tears every day.
In his eyes, it was beautiful.
He was a jerk.
Emma didn't run away or cry later. It was the third day she pretended to be dead.
Seeing her motionless, Jamie poked her with his finger and amused her.
"My canary, get up and have your meal."
Emma's body trembled a little bit, and finally "woke up" reluctantly. The dishes on the plate were very
delicate, but there was no silverware.
But for Jamie, canaries don’t use silverware. Just use mouth. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
He’s totally insane!
In spite of her hatred, Emma's face remained expressionless. She drew the plate closer and ate the
delicate food with her hands.
Jamie was squatting outside the cage, and the excitement in his eyes made Emma feel sick.
She couldn't help vomiting. Even the food she had eaten the day before yesterday was vomited out.
Her stomach was so upset that she almost vomited the gall.
There was an unpleasant smell in the room.
Jamie took a quick step back to avoid being affected. He frowned. And disgust rose in his eyes, he
walked out of the door without looking at her.
Soon, a teenage girl came into the room. She moved out Emma who had fainted, and threw her rudely
to the side. Emma in the coma covered her stomach uneasily.
When the little girl finished cleaning up the filth in the cage, Emma slowly opened her eyes.
She knew the girl. She was deaf and dumb, but her strength was so great that she captured Emma in
most of her escapes.
Thinking of the girl's means of catching her back, Emma's body quivered with stress.
But then her eyes became more firm.
She need to go back.
She quietly picked up the candlestick on the side, and walked to the back of the little girl. At the
moment the girl turned around, Emma smashed the candlestick down with all her strength!
The little girl fell to the ground with blood.
Emma forced herself to calm down. She put down the candlestick and ran out to the gate.
Hurry up...It's almost succeed...
She had observed that outside of the gate was a very prosperous business street. As long as she went
there, Jamie would not dare to catch her back.
Thinking of the heavily-guarded gate, Emma chose to climb the courtyard wall, where there was a row
of tall sycamore trees. She would be safe as long as she climbed up to seek for help.
Despite her aching stomach, she climbed the tree in front of her with all her strength. She could almost
see the people outside.
The long term imprisonment and poor diet made her weak. She felt a dizzy. Emma leaned against the
tree trunk to take a breath and prepared to step on the top of the wall.
Just then, something happened.
"Emma, how dared you run away again!"
With the nightmarish roar, Emma had a pain in her wrist and could no longer grasp the trunk. She fell
off the tree at last.
Jamie appeared in front of her. Although he was smiling, Emma instinctively felt afraid and kept
shrinking.
Her arm bent into an nearly impossible angle. It had a fracture.
The severe pain wasn't greater than her fear for Jamie. She took a step back, and Jamie took a step
forward. Each of his step was like a devil stepping on her heart.
He squatted down and lifted her up gently.
"My little canary, you are so unruly. I will punish you."
Emma finally fainted under both physical and mental pressure.
At the same time, a piece of white paper lying on the tree trunk was blown by a gust of wind and landed
on the head of a tourist in the commercial street.
"What is it about?" The man with glasses looked at the note from the top of his head and asked his
companion in confusion.
"Help! Someone kidnapped me! Find Glenn!"
There was also a string of telephone numbers at the back of the note.
"It's a commercial street. How could someone be kidnapped? I think it's a trick." The companion picked
up the note and was about to throw it away.
The glasses man snatched over and said, "Let's try. What if it's true?"
Then the glasses man dialed the phone number.
"Hello, I found a note with information calling for help on it..."
After hanging up the phone, the man with glasses was still a bit dull. That man in the phone was so
fierce.
So the glasses man who was almost frightened to cry also called the police.
Half an hour later, Glenn came to this busiest commercial street of the city.
He took the note from the glasses man. The killing intent surged out of his eyes made the man's
shanks began to shake.
"You said, this note was found near here?"
"Uh...yes, near the wall, it fell onto my head." The glasses man replied with a trembling voice.
Glenn tipped his subordinate a wink, and then someone came up to put his hands on the man's
shoulder. "Hey, buddy, thank you for your important information. I'd like to invite you to visit the store."
I don't want to visit the store!
The man in glasses was "invited" into the store in reluctant.
As soon as Glenn entered the store, he felt something unusual.
It was a very common birds shop. The shop was very small and there were bird cages everywhere. But
what's unusual was that even though the store was at a commercial street, there were few customers.
However, there were a few guys cleaning the bird cages.
Besides, these guys were a little too strong for a birds store.
Glenn squinted a little bit and then waved his hands.
"Do it!"
