Chapter 186

We eat in silence for the rest of the food. It feels weird sitting here alone with him, but I guess he is right, I need to eat. Finishing I carry my plate through and begin washing it before putting it away. I begin cleaning the pan when he walks through and takes it from me.

“I will, you go get some sleep.” He smiles at me.

“I’m fine, I’m used to no sleep, remember?” I go to take it back, his hand stopping me.

“Go to bed Daisy, get some sleep.” I watch him shake his head. “Sorry, it is your choice, but I would rather if you went and got some sleep.” He smiles at me, nodding I stay looking at him. My mind reminds me of the other morning, waking up in his arms. I feel myself staring, lost in thought.

“Daisy? Are you okay?” He looks at me confused, nodding I rush out. Getting into my room I close the door.

“Idiot, fucking idiot!” Hell, I was staring, he would have known, why did I stare? “Why am I so weird?.” I groan and lie back on the bed. “Way to be a fucking freak.” I feel annoyed at myself and feel like swearing.

“The best people are.” I sit up and see Calix standing in my room smiling.

Fuck! He heard me, what the hell?

“I forgot to give you these. I might not be able to give you the freedom.

you want and deserve, but I can try.” He holds out a phone and something else, reaching I take them from him, looking at them confused. It’s a mobile and bank card, along with cards to get into the building.

Placing them down I look at him.

“Thank you, but it isn’t needed, I’m happy just knowing my body is mine. I am, that is freedom enough after the past few

years.

“So, I was thinking, your parents, do you never hear from them?” He sits looking at me, shaking my head I smile.

“No, I wouldn’t even know where to begin to be honest. What about you, and your parents?” I watch as he shakes his head.

Standing he walks to the door, he stops and turns back to me. “I shoulder shower and sleep, so should you.” I watch as he walks out the door slamming. Rolling my eyes I walk to the shower, quickly getting washed, I wrap the towel around me and sit on the bed.

I need to get used to this life, but I’m not sure I can. I’m used to everything being planned for me. Me having no choice.

A small knock makes me look up and I see Calix walk in with a towel around his waist, he sits beside me.

“Sorry, I sounded rude, and blunt and just walked out.” He smiles at me. “With time we may tell you those things that are personal. You should know Daisy, if we ask you about your past, you don’t have to tell us.”

I laugh slightly.

“I’m not used to that, having things about myself personal and private.

So I can’t guarantee when you ask I won’t just answer.”

“It’s your choice, but you don’t have to tell us anything you don’t want to.”

“Is it weird, that you saying that makes me want to tell you, purely because I have the choice?” He looks at me shaking his head.

“I wouldn’t know, look, if I overstep the mark like I did the other day sending you to your room, argue back. I don’t own you Daisy.”

He nudges me and I laugh.

“Can we start slow, I don’t feel ready for anything full–on right now.”

He looks at me confused.

“Erm, I wasn’t suggesting anything full–on.” He looks at me confused.

“No!” Why did I say it like that? “I mean your requests, telling me to argue back is not going to be easy, that for me is a big thing. I need time to get used to not following orders 24/7 without turning around and telling you no.”

“Shit, sorry, I thought. You know know, forget it.” He shakes his head and we both laugh.

“It’s fine after I realised how forward it sounded. I didn’t mean sex, although that would be great.”

He laughs but looks at me confused. “I assumed you would have had enough of that for life. Hell, maybe even decide to be a lesbian to avoid. men again.”

I smile at him.

“Honestly, had you asked me a month ago I would have agreed. Then that night with Demitri, made me realise if I had permission, and a way I enjoy sex. I realised I missed it, years of having it but never having the pleasure side.”

He moves and sits back on my, bed pulling me up and to sit next to him.

“So I hear Dean likes to gamble?” He looks at me and I nod.

“I think we moved in total over twenty times. He empties the bank, runs up the tab at casinos, then makes us all move to hide from his debt.”

He nods looking at me confused.

“I will have to listen out for his name. How long have you seen Mr Anderson?” He looks at me and I shrug my shoulders.

“From the start, apparently he is someone who has an apartment in a lot of cities. He was the first guy Dean gave me to. He was the one who made them put the rules on me when it came to sleeping with me.” He never liked me.

“Rules?” He looks at me confused.

“The first time I was frozen, sure I was old enough but I had never been with a guy in any way. Mr Anderson isn’t gentle in any way. So I froze, and each time he paid he complained so they lostPlease check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

money. That was when the punishments began. That was when I had to ensure I brought out the condom every time to prove the guy enjoyed himself.”

He stares at me, I thought Demitri had told them about that.

“You were a virgin?” He stares shocked and I laugh.

Chapter 196

“Calix, I had been sold with strict orders to follow rules. My previous owner never gave me an hour ofl. Dean was the same, but he made me aware my body wasn’t mine.”

“Sorry, I just assumed that. You know.” He shakes his head. “Forget. it.” The room falls quiet. “What the hell did he say when he found out you hadn’t slept with anyone?” He looks at me again.

Rolling my eyes I laugh. “Think about Calix, you have met Dean. When he and Mary told me about what would happen that first night, I told him I had never been near a guy. He took out his phone and told Mr. Anderson he wanted an extra five hundred because I was pure.”

“Sorry.” His word is quiet.

“I’m not.”

He stares at me shocked and I guess I should explain.

“My past owner, I felt useless. I barely could make money doing the jobs people were willing to hire me for. It meant I never earned the right to a name, was always called Mutt and lived on a mattress in the grubby basement. With Dean, I at least felt like I had a use.”

He nods, seemingly understanding what I am saying.
