Chapter 942: A house full of warmth, long live friendship.
At noon, Lastra proposed a barbecue in the villa’s large courtyard.
“It’s such a big yard, and it’s a waste that the capitalists don’t know how to barbecue, so we have to come and enjoy the soul taste of barbecue in a big house, like us commoners. ”
Rufio laughed and teased Lastra: “Then you stay here, Severo, get him a babysitting room and let him enjoy a barbecue in your yard every day.”
Severo Laris joked, “There’s no babysitter’s room, but there’s a cattery in Costillas. ”
Lastra had a paper airplane in his hand and flew it toward Severo Laris, “Dude, that’s too much!”
Severo Laris received the paper airplane and handed it to Paula Rouco.
Paula Rouco took the paper airplane, breathed on its mouth and launched it toward the outside of the chalet.
The paper airplanes fly up and down the large courtyard of the villa.
Susana said, “Don’t just think about the barbecue, where are the tools and the meat for the barbecue?”.
Rufio said, “Severo stays with Paulita while we both go to the supermarket.”
Lastra: “I dare you to leave me a single dog eating dog food on purpose?”
Rufio: “If you don’t bully the bulb, who do you bully?”
Rufio hugged his daughter-in-law and walked out the door.
Severo Laris remembered, “There’s a big supermarket around the corner from here in town, it’s very close and easy for you to map.”
“Okay.”
Rufio and Susana went to the supermarket to shop and Severo Laris walked over with a couple of Monopoly.
Severo Laris, Paula Rouco and Lastra, three people playing Monopoly.
Lastra lost one after another and was left with many white notes on his face.
Lastra was unconvinced, “You’re bullying me for not playing this much, one more game and I’ll put two stickers on your face.”
Severo Laris hit lightly, “Come on, you don’t even know how to play with me and you still want to beat Lita, who is a master at this.”
Lastra was not happy: “Paulita already knows how to play this game, and you’re giving her a pig in a poke, Severo Laris, I say don’t bully people like that in pairs!”.
After a while, Rufio and Susana came back from outside with a bunch of stuff.
“Hurry up and help us carry our stuff to the trunk, we bought a lot of food.”
Lastra ripped the note off his face, jumped onto the couch and ran out into the yard to unload. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Within moments, a barbecue was set up in the villa’s courtyard and a charcoal fire was lit.
Rufio grew up in Imperial, and the people of Imperial are always barbecuing three days a week, so he knows a lot about eating and skewering, and is an experienced gourmet.
Rufio taught Lastra how to skewer the meat, and Lastra was so clumsy that he pricked his fingers on the skewer several times.
Rufio laughed and called him stupid.
Susana is mixing bread dumplings.
Severo Laris making meatballs stuffed with lean pork with capers.
Paula Rouco had nothing to do and Severo Laris took a look at the pasta Susana was making and indicated to Paula Rouco, “Susana’s pasta is a little dry, give her some water.”
Paula Rouco took a small bowl of water from the patio faucet and poured it into Susana’s basin.
Before long, the meatball filling was ready and the noodles were mixed.
Both Severo Laris and Susana know how to make dumplings.
Rolled pasta Severo Laris, Susana bag.
Severo Laris cut some dumplings and tossed them to Paula Rouco to make figurines.
Paula Rouco’s figurines are so cute and adorable.
Severo Laris smiled warmly, cut another larger piece of dough and threw it to her, lifted his handsome chin and said, “Knead another house.”
Before long, Paula Rouco had made a little house out of the dough, kneading it decently and garnishing it with carrot slices.
Severo Laris took the dough figurines and the little houses and put them out on the open terrace to dry.
After drying, it has stood as a clay sculpture in the window of the house.
Paula Rouco watched as Severo Laris’ long, bony fingers expertly wrapped the dumplings, one after another, beautifully filled, in the blink of an eye.
Paula Rouco watched with wide eyes, “I want to wrap meatballs too.”
Severo Laris brought a sheet of pasta over to her and placed a spoonful of meatball filling in the center of the sheet in her hand.
Paula Rouco followed suit.
The first dumpling I made wasn’t bad, it wasn’t too ugly.
Susana’s ambiguous look drifted between the two of us and she teased, “Paulita this first dumpling you wrapped, is it for her or for Severo?”.
Paula Rouco smiled like a child, without looking up, but saying, “For Severo. ”
Severo Laris’ heart, instantly softened, looked at her little head and his smile almost melted.
Susanna’s features twisted and she slumped against Rufio’s shoulder, “The sour smell of love, I can hardly stand it!”
Rufio kissed his daughter-in-law on the lips, “We can be sour and smelly too!”.
Lastra looked at them slyly: “You don’t believe I exist, do you?”.
Susana: “Lastra, are you good at this? You’ve been getting girls for many years, but you haven’t gotten the right one?”.
Rufio raised an eyebrow, “Lastra, I think you’d make a good match with that old nun Engracia, not that you don’t know Engracia!”.
Lastra’s head got bigger as he listened to Engracia: “She’s not my type, okay?”.
Paula Rouco curiously asked Severo Laris: “Hasn’t Engracia gotten married yet?”.
Rufio: “Why are you getting married, you don’t even have a partner, you might as well be in love with Mr. Severo!”
The words came out of his mouth without thinking, and Susana slapped him in the face, “What are you babbling!”.
Susana pushed a strawberry straight into Rufio’s mouth, “Go on, eat the strawberry and stop talking!”.
Severo Laris was not above talking about it, Engracia had always been a good friend to him and Severo Laris had never had any malicious thoughts about Engracia.
Severo Laris said, “Engracia is not young, so if there is a suitable one later, we can introduce her.”
Paula Rouco said, “Engracia is high-end and must not like blind dates.”
Severo Laris raised an eyebrow and nodded, thinking it made some sense.
Susana asked, “Paulita, you don’t hate Engracia anymore, do you?”
Paula Rouco squeezed her cheek to play, “I never hated her, she’s not Severo’s ex-girlfriend, why would I hate her.”
Severo Laris wiped his hands and wrapped his arms around her little head, bending his head to kiss the top of her hair.
Susanna said, “Besides, the former and current Severo, and only you. engracia counts as an air.”
Rufio gave Susana a little tap with his shoulder and said, “Learn from Paulita, don’t always cling to your husband’s past love story, be generous, you understand?”
Susana gave him a straightforward expressionless look, “Has Severo had other affairs besides Paulita, has he?”
Severo Laris wrapped the meatballs and held out his hands, affectionately to Rufio: “Not really.”
Rufio: “Mr. Severo you are too much of a brother!”
Susanna grabbed Rufio’s ear, “If you try to attract butterflies, I’ll castrate you!”
“Ay, ay, let go! Who attracts butterflies and I’m still misbehaving after marriage?”
Paula Rouco ate strawberries and watched them pushed, every now and then she would pick one up and pass it to Severo Laris’ mouth.
Severo Laris eats it with his mouth open.
For lunch, meatballs, fruit, barbecue, sandwiches and a nice table of dishes cooked by Severo Laris.
A picnic under the big, leafy trees in the courtyard, with a cool breeze.
Rufio joked, “Senor Severo’s cooking is now better than the five-star chefs at Imperial.”
Lastra raised his glass of red wine, “Today Paulita has blessed us with a dish as good as Senor Severo, so raise your glasses and clink!”
Clinking glasses together: “Long live friendship!”
