Chapter 917: Severo Laris loves only Paula Rouco
There was not a single light on in the house, only natural light shone from the darkness outside.
Severo Laris stood at the door for an unknown amount of time before his large, slender hand finally unscrewed the knob.
Click.
The doors opened.
He stepped into the bedroom, the wide bed with the blankets arched and someone inside.
Severo Laris looked at the slightly puffy bedspread and his heart trembled with excitement.
The color in his eyes was full of surprise.
He actually took the initiative to come to him.
Severo Laris approached him and sat carefully on the edge of the bed, thinking that he had waited for her until she fell asleep, not daring to wake her.
He contented himself with watching so quietly as she turned her back on him.
Paula Rouco had not slept and he knew, as soon as Severo Laris opened the door and sat down beside her, that she had returned.
In the small, slender hand under the bedspread she held a fruit knife.
Just as the large hand of Severo Laris, fell softly upon her through the sheets, Paula Rouco violently joined, with a sharp knife, at her throat.C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
The action was swift, so much so that even Severo Laris was a bit stunned.
The blade pressed against the skin of her neck, bringing a shallow point closer.
Blood spilled.
Paula Rouco’s dark eyes looked at him for a moment and asked, “Did you break up with me seven years ago because my father stopped you or did you just make up your mind?”
Paula Rouco knows him.
Severo Laris is not the type of person who is easily discouraged by a word of discouragement and negativity from others.
Even if that person was Adam Rouco, it would not have swayed a man as obsessive as he was, bordering on paranoia.
Severo Laris didn’t hold back, his dark eyes stared at her, his thin lips spat out two words, “It’s me.
Nothing to do with anyone else.
At the time, Adam Rouco had merely exposed to her the fact that Leopoldo had kidnapped her, and it was his own ridiculous guilt that had prevented him from having the courage to go through with it.
At that moment, he was not strong enough to protect her and thought that walking away from her was the best decision for both of them.
Paula Rouco’s eyes were dripping with tears, but her gaze was cold and determined, her tears, crying soundlessly.
“Why are you doing this to me?”
Severo Laris laughed a mocking, pale laugh and said, “I was in the mud and I didn’t want to drag you, who were so good, into the mud and get you dirty like me. lita, you were once the clouds in the sky and I was the mud on the ground, I didn’t deserve it.”
“Because you felt unworthy, you thought you were breaking up with me, and because you thought that was the right thing for me to do, you said all those hurtful things!”
The knife, forcing another point closer to his flesh and blood.
Severo Laris felt no pain as he approached her, with a dark look of affection.
He said, “Lita, I’m sorry.”
This apology comes seven years too late.
Paula Rouco scoffed, “Severo Laris, you’ll never know what it cost me for your sanctimony.”
The blade spun and stabbed him in the shoulder.
There was a poof, the sound of a knife stabbing into flesh and blood.
Severo Laris looked at her every time, not half resisting, “I know, it was me who thought it was bad, it was me … who was negative for you.”
Paula Rouco’s face was covered with clear tears, but her face was expressionless as she gripped the knife and plunged it hard into his bloodied flesh.
She stared at him and said, word for word, “You know, Severo Laris, this knife, this is the same one I used to slit my wrists four years ago. I keep it to remind me from time to time how stupid I was, how ridiculous I was, for falling in love with you.”
Severo Laris’ tears, silent, flowed down the man’s scarlet-red eyes.
He reached out and took her small hand that was gripping the hilt of the knife and stabbed an inch further, into the bloody flesh.
“You are not stupid, nor ridiculous; it is my presumption that has ruined you, and myself.”
Paula Rouco hated: “Severo Laris, do you know how painful an abortion is?”.
Severo Laris shakes his head slightly.
Paula Rouco lowered her dense eyes as she looked at Severo Laris’ stabbed and bloody right shoulder and yanked the knife out with a jerk.
She gripped the knife tightly and slashed, plunging it into his chest.
She glared at him, “Do you feel that?”
Severo Laris looked at her silently, letting him abuse her. Kill.
The white shirt, soaked with blood, scared and alive.
“This knife, it cut my wrist, but I didn’t feel pain, so now, you shouldn’t feel pain either, right?”
He pulled out the knife so violently that blood spurted and splattered, spraying her small, pale face.
But she didn’t blink.
Tears dried on her face and she felt the pain as Severo Laris’ hot blood splattered her face and eyes.
She lifted her little face, blood-stained and startled, and looked directly and openly at his gradually bleeding and pale and fragile face.
“Severo Laris, you tell me now that it was all a misunderstanding, so what is my seven years of obsession and hatred for you? What gives you the right to lie to me for seven years?”
Severo Laris looked at her silently.
Paula Rouco has lost her mind.
She stared at him and, when he didn’t speak, she drove a dagger into his chest, hard and sinister.
She was hysterical: “Tell me what I am! Why do you part so easily? Why must I be miserable for seven years? Why must I be cheated for seven years? Why must I be cheated for seven years? Am I a fool in your eyes?”
“Severo Laris, do you feel the pain? Every day, for the last seven years, it has hurt me more than it hurts you now. Do you know how desperate I was when I lay in the bathtub and slit my wrists?”
“Severo Laris, do you know what it’s like to be killed by the person you love the most?”
“You don’t know, by then you should have planned to forget about me and start a new life with another woman! You don’t know how desperate I was.”
“You’ll never know! You don’t know how much I love you! You don’t know how much I hate you! ”
“Now! Just the interest you deserve to pay! I want you to be in as much pain as I am! I want you to be as desperate as I am!”
A knife.
Another cut.
Thrust into his chest.
His face was covered with blood.
Severo Laris was numb from the pain and even from the incomparable pleasure of the knife’s torment. The sensation.
Seven years later, it was the moment he felt the least guilty.
He saw the blood gushing from her chest, splattering her, her face, her hands, covered in his blood.
She was clearly stabbing him with a knife, but Severo Laris felt he had received a precious rebirth.
Severo Laris pursed his thin lips, the lump in his throat rolled as he spoke hoarsely, “lita, I love you, only you.”
Paula Rouco’s small, snow-white hand, which held the knife, was soaked with blood.
She grabbed the knife, not letting go, gripping it tightly.
With difficulty, Severo Laris moved inch by inch closer to her along the sharp blade.
Paula Rouco looked numbly at the knife that had penetrated her chest and murmured, “You don’t love me, you never loved me…”
If he loved her, he would not have broken up with her.
If he loved her, he would not have gone to her for seven years.
Severo Laris’ eyes, rolled tears, he swallowed saliva, looked at her cold and stagnant little face and corrected her: “I love you, I Severo Laris only love Paula Rouco … I love you, I only love you”.
Flesh and blood, ravaged by the blade, the blood, flow endlessly.
With the knife in his hand, he embraced her tightly.
Squeezing her little blood-stained face in his arms.
He lowered his gaze, kissed her forehead, his voice was weak and flimsy as he said over and over, “I love you, don’t stop for a day, lita, I love you, I love you…”
I love only you.
Severo Laris’ tears, flowing down his neck.
