Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes’ Darling Wife

Chapter 1108: Do you think L.A. has stars that bright? (3)

In the two months Kelly has been with Micaela, she has never seen Micaela lose control of her emotions. As far as Kelly knows, Micaela is a level-headed, sober girl, and always has been.

Kelly looks at her with her chin up and laughs, “I’ve never seen you like this before, and you seem to really like that boyfriend of yours from home. Are you that upset about missing his birthday?”

Micaela gets angry and her words are inevitably whimsical: “A working machine like you wouldn’t understand.

She came to Hollywood to get better and stronger because of Nico.

So how could she not be sad to lose the excuse of having a rare connection with him.

She’s not one to let go of her dignity, and she needs an excuse and an opportunity to go see Nico, and Nico’s birthday is the perfect excuse.

But this perfect opportunity is killed by Kelly.

Although Micaela’s character is immovable as a mountain, she cries with rage, and most of all, Savanna is helpless because she is too small and not strong enough to meet the people she wants to see whenever and wherever she wants.

More than being angry at Kelly, she was angry at herself.

She hated herself for being powerless now.

She didn’t want to choke on the phone if she could help it, she’d rather buy an early morning ticket and go straight to Nico.

Then she smiled and told him, Happy birthday, Nico.

But it was such a simple and easy thing to do, and she couldn’t do it.

M icaela’s tears kept falling indefinitely.

Kelly smiled at her and said, “It’s such a beautiful day in Hollywood, even the night sky is clear and crisp at night, the stars are so bright and shining, and you’re here crying with your head down, you might as well look up at the night view.”

Micaela is in no mood for her toxic chicken soup.

Kelly added, “You say I’m a cold work machine, but what kind of person starts out being a work machine, I was young too, I’ve had urges like one time I wanted to fly home from a foreign country and go through the mountains just to spend my boyfriend’s birthday, I’ve done all those things.”

Kelly recalled her childhood past and said, “When I came to Los Angeles the first two years, I didn’t know the city and almost broke my back watching Hollywood stars bow and curtsy, but foreigners didn’t eat that up. I flew home from work for my boyfriend’s birthday, got chewed out by my boss, missed an artist agent’s notice, the restaurant I booked for my boyfriend’s birthday was overcrowded and I couldn’t get a number so I couldn’t cater to both of us.

“That’s when I told myself that to be free, you have to be strong. If you want to be free and uninhibited, and you want to see whoever you want whenever you want, you have to be powerful enough to say so. Otherwise, nothing gets done, it’s a mess.”

Micaela wiped away her tears and slowly came to terms with Kelly’s words, Micaela’s voice trailing off a bit as she asked, “Freedom? When I get my freedom and lose that person, I don’t know if I’m making the right decision or not.”

“But if you had really decided in your heart that you were making the wrong choice, you wouldn’t have come to Hollywood, you could have made it in the national entertainment industry, what’s wrong with having nothing. It’s a choice you make in your heart, so right or wrong, you will willingly pay for it. If you didn’t want to, you wouldn’t have met me, and you wouldn’t be sitting here now arguing with me. Many choices are made in a person’s life, and it is impossible to say what is right or wrong, but if you choose this path, it must be what you want, and what you want, even if you don’t do it now, you will do it later. The choice is justified, there is no right or wrong.”

Micaela’s confusion, little by little dissipates.

“Micaela, actually there is no hard work in trying and enjoying the temporary loneliness, think of the days to come when you can approach the people you like step by step, when you can easily meet the people you like, and when you can have the things you like without any pressure, think of it this way, you will really get over it after a while. You’ve already started, you can’t fail half way through.”

Micaela looked at Kelly and the tears that had stopped falling fell again, her nose shrunk slightly because she couldn’t stop crying, she said with red eyes, “But two years, that’s a long time. It’s only been two months and I feel like I’m dying for him, I’ve never missed someone like this, not even when I was away shooting for eight or nine months, I lost control like this, probably because I was sure he’d always be waiting for me wherever I was. ”

Micaela couldn’t hold back her sobs and her shoulders shook with them.

“I asked him to wait for me, but, on the other hand, I told myself that even I wasn’t sure I would be able to return to my country in two years, so why would I ask him to wait for me? But I was too selfish to do that. I couldn’t even congratulate him on his birthday. I had never felt so frustrated, and now I realize that I am not omnipotent.”

For the first time in her life, Micaela felt frustrated by her inability to do anything about it and felt that she had made her village a terrible life.

It was clear that she was winning at first, leaving Nico with so much conviction.

But, after all, she had underestimated Nico’s weight in her heart.

It took Micaela a moment to realize that someone she loved so much for being incompetent could come to love someone so much.

Love is deep and affectionate.

If she now only assumed she had lost Nico, then she already felt the pain of a million deaths.

Kelly reached out, stroked his hair and said quietly, “If you really love this man and want to be well with him in the future, then for his sake, start now with hope, and those who are full of hope will be invincible. For the sake of his future good life.”

Micaela cried again.

Because as Kelly says, there seems to be no shortcut other than to turn her back.

Just invincible, just invincible.

The days of loneliness in Los Angeles pass slowly, but they also pass quickly.

Micaela has one day off a month in which she does nothing but write a handwritten love letter and send it to Nico the old-fashioned way.

No email, no WhatsApp, no teleconnection, this love letter will be mailed across the ocean to Nico.

Micaela never expects to hear from him, because the business of liking and loving is a one-person thing.

The following year, at the beginning of summer in The Holy City, Nico received a letter in the mail from Los Angeles.

The handwriting of the letter is a dignified and elegant cursive script, few lines long, but with deep meaning.

“It’s barren, not an inch of grass.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

And then you came to walk here.

The miraculous growth of all things.

Here is my heart.”

Nico looked at it I don’t know how many times, smiling with the corners of his lips at his temples.

The paper is almost worn out from playing with it.

In the midst of such a monotonous and boring wait, a love letter was able to cajole Nico into waiting willingly.

Even he despises himself for his hatred.

Knowing full well that this was nothing more than a means for the woman to ensnare him.

But the thought that she was still willing to go to the trouble of circling him could not be stopped.

Nico is someone who rarely puts romance on his lips and is not one for pretense.

But she couldn’t resist grabbing a pen and also writing a few lines in flowing but firm cursive at the bottom of the letter’s blank page.

“Here is my heart, where everything grows.

And then you came to walk here.

It is barren, and not an inch of grass grows.

There is only room for you.”

As an answer.

But that answer, it was stone.

Nico’s not going to be stupid enough to mail it. If she wants to see it, she’ll see it for herself.

Something like mailing a love letter is too pretentious for him.
