Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes’ Darling Wife

Chapter 1103: The thought will echo (1)

At night, sleep with your backs to each other.

Micaela could not sleep with her eyes open.

After turning over in bed several times, Nico finally, with some grumpiness and helplessness, drew her into his arms and pulled her close against him as they embraced.

Micaela pressed herself against his chest and remained silent for a long moment before finally asking, “Would you miss me if I went to the United States to develop?”

Without thinking, the other party replied, “No.”

With a hint of stubborn brashness, like a bet.

Micaela’s eyes blinked softly a couple of times, slowly tilting her head in the dim light to look him in the face. “So you, will you come to America to see me?”.

“No can do.” A decisive tone.

“But I, for one, will miss you.”

Nico’s eyes were closed, but his words were sharp: “Then suck it up.”

MicaelaSavanna hugged him and said no more.

Having made such an important decision on her own, it would be impossible to say that Nico didn’t have a half-hearted reluctance in her heart.

She could understand that.

She too wanted to put herself in the other person’s shoes and be selfless, but when you love someone deeply, it turns out that all people are selfish, and she couldn’t help but ask, “Nico, will you wait for me?”

Two years, not as scary as seven or ten may seem, is still a long time in this age of speed.

Not to mention that Micaela is not sure what she will be able to accomplish in the United States two years from now.

There are so many temptations around her across oceans and continents, and maybe not enough for Nico, but loneliness, loneliness needs an outlet, and it’s only natural that Nico doesn’t expect it.

Micaela understands all those things.

But it was still a selfish chance to expect Nico to stand still and wait for her.

With his usual tone, Nico replied, “No.”

He wouldn’t miss her, he wouldn’t visit her in America, and he wouldn’t wait for her.

The words are all backwards.

Even Nico himself doesn’t think he can do it.

But who was going to let him know that what he felt now was the same as waiting for a spaceship in an airport, with no end in sight.

That’s very humiliating.

What was even more humiliating was that, even though he now felt like he had to wait for an airship at the airport, with no end in sight, he nonetheless waited.

Early the next morning, it was Christmas Eve.

As previously agreed, Nico and Micaela were the only two people spending Christmas Eve together this year, the large villa was empty and unwelcoming, and with Micaela’s decision to leave for America, Christmas Eve became even colder.

The white snow outside the house, which had set the mood for the New Year, now also made the vacation season unbearably cold.

Micaela got up at eight o’clock and prepared a hearty breakfast as usual.

Nico had also been awake for a long time, just lying dead in bed, not remembering.

Only when Micaela came to call him for breakfast, he got up without a word and washed himself in silence.

Breakfast for two, relatively speechless.NôvelDrama.Org content.

The winter days are short and pass quickly.

Micaela cooks three times a day, and Nico can’t blame her.

But when it came to New Year’s Eve dinner, Nico’s emotions seemed to have nowhere to vent, and by the end he was picking at the bones of his eggs, staring at the plate of sweet and sour pork in front of him and frowning in disgust, “Does your sugar cost nothing, or are you trying to make me diabetic in advance?”

Nico tossed the piece of sweet and sour pork on his chopsticks back onto the plate and spat, “Sweet snooze.”

Micaela didn’t get angry, knowing he was just taking advantage of these trivialities to vent his frustrations.

After dropping his chopsticks, Nico got up and left the table.

It wasn’t until he reached the staircase and was about to go upstairs when Micaela suddenly called out to him, “Nico.”

Nico paused in his stride but did not turn around.

Behind him, Micaela said, “Merry Christmas Eve. ”

Nico clenched his fist, took a deep breath and walked up the stairs at a brisk, long-legged pace.

Once in the studio, Nico called Campoverde.

“Terminate Micaela’s agency contract with Amengual Pictures Group and have the termination contract drawn up and sent to Luna Bay immediately.”

Campoverde was stunned and caught off guard, but didn’t dare ask why: “But Mr. Nico, it’s Christmas Eve and the law is on leave.”

Nico was not in a good mood and ordered in a cold voice: “Then call him at the office now, and don’t come back to work after New Year’s Eve if you don’t.”

“…”…” is so inhumane!

Nico stays in the studio.

Micaela cut up a plate of fruit and thought about sending him off once, but when she got to the door and was about to knock, she thought better of it.

Perhaps it would be wise to let him calm down on his own for a while.

At ten o’clock that night, Micaela went off alone to wash up and go to bed first.

In the middle of the year, Campoverde came to the house once, unbeknownst to her.

At eleven-thirty at night, Micaela was awake in her bed.

In half an hour, it would be New Year’s Day.

But New Year’s joy was not something she could feel at all, because of the separation that followed.

At eleven forty-five, the bedroom door was finally pushed open.

Nico walked in.

Two contracts in hand.

Before Micaela knew what they were, he was already standing by the window handing her the two contracts, his face cold and calm, unable to tell whether he was happy or angry, and his voice calm and unperturbed: “As soon as you sign these two termination contracts, you will no longer be an artist of the Amengual Pictures Group, and you will no longer have any agency contract with you. You can go to any company you want.”

Micaela sat on the bed and silently looked at the termination contract in her hand.

After a long moment of silence, Nico frowned slightly and said charmingly, “Consider it a Christmas Eve present. No red envelope for you this time.”

Micaela squeezed the two termination contracts tightly together, the warmth in her heart on the verge of overflowing.

When Nico pulled away, Micaela embraced him, her red lips pressed against his thin ones, kissing him, passionately and wildly.

Nico thought to himself that it was really ridiculous and living again that a Christmas Eve gift for his wife was a long-distance ticket away from him, with an unknown departure time.

So as he kissed, he couldn’t resist biting Micaela hard again and again, wanting her to taste the pain too.

As her fingers tightened on the bed, Micaela tilted her chin and pretty gooseneck and whispered firmly in his ear, “I’ll be back, wait for me.”

Now that’s not lip service.

To Nico, she was just a thick cocoon holding him in place.

Waiting for her? he thought with contempt. Anyone who waits is a son of a bitch.

A room of intense sparks.

It was Micaela’s most intense and fiery gift to Nico before she left.

It’s also a way to keep him in mind.

This woman, really bad, so bad that she had to leave and he couldn’t stop thinking about her.
