Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes’ Darling Wife

Chapter 1081: Going Out into the Night to Be Her Hero

Micaela was trapped in the lobby of the B&B for nearly twenty harrowing hours.

An African boy was so frightened he was about to scream, and Micaela covered his mouth, fearing the boy would provoke the terrorists and get shot.

Micaela crouched in a corner, anxiously watching the four black men in black scarves standing around her, each with a rifle in hand, their faces condensed and morose as they watched the hostages and the movement outside the B&B.

In the lobby of the B&B is a wall-mounted LCD television, the same local news channel that had broadcast the terrorist attack.

However, for reasons unknown to local African authorities, there was a delay in the deployment of the police force, making the room full of hostages very uncomfortable.

The owner of the B&B is of Spanish descent and is occasionally dragged in for questioning by the terrorists.

The language spoken is the native African language Khoisan, which Micaela does not understand.

Charro approached and whispered to Micaela, “It’s as if they are plotting how to take on the police, blackmail the families of the hostages and provoke a major social terror attack that will leave the damn police defenseless.”

Charro listened intently and suddenly frowned, “Not good, they’ve decided to bomb the place.”

Micaela’s heart skipped a beat; these were no ordinary kidnappers, their ultimate goal was not to extort, but to get the attention of the community, so it was very likely that they would raze this not so small B&B.

The terrorists were taking the B&B owner outside for a conversation when they suddenly raised their guns and shot him directly in the head, killing him immediately.

The hostages in the lobby screamed loudly, causing another disturbance.

Micaela rationalized, “If this continues, I’m afraid they will shoot us one by one….. Charro, is there any way to distract those terrorists?”

Pohang looked at the several tall, athletic black men outside the house and said, “They have guns in their hands, if we run out, they will be the first to shoot us before we can divert their attention, this solution won’t work.”

Micaela fixed her gaze harshly on the kidnappers outside and said, “Those terrorists seem to speak English, what if we go negotiate with them?”.This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Charro stared at Micaela with wide eyes, “You’re crazy! For all I know these terrorists are just plain crazy, you’ll probably end up in the same situation as the B&B owner if you negotiate with a crazy person, these social extremists get angry easily, Micaela, don’t be naive.”

“But we will end up getting shot if we sit and stay here, and if one of us is going to negotiate, we can still stop for a bit and wait for the local authorities to rescue us.”

With those words, Micaela was about to get up when Charro grabbed her arm, “Micaela, it’s dangerous!”.

Micaela shook Charro’s hand and returned a determined look, “Believe me, none of us can expect help if we don’t go.”

“I’ll go with you!”

Micaela and Charro got up, stood in the lobby and approached.

The terrorists at the door pointed their guns at them.

Micaela asked them in fluent English, “Do you understand English? We are not trying to escape, we just want to negotiate with you.”

The terrorists looked at each other and then, looking at Micaela and Charro, two weak women with no hands, said angrily, “Don’t joke with me, I’ll shoot you dead! Hands up!”

Charro grabbed Micaela’s hand nervously, cold sweat beading on both of them.

Micaela forced herself to look calm and put her hands up with Charro.

The terrorist ordered, “Come here!”

Micaela and Charro approached slowly with their hands up as if they were on ice.

The terrorists mocked them, “Negotiation? What can you negotiate with us? Do you know that I am now your God and that if I shoot you you will all go to hell? Do you want to negotiate with your God? What a joke!”

Several terrorists laughed derisively, laughing back and forth arrogantly.

Micaela took a deep breath and was about to speak when one of the terrorists was suddenly shot in the head behind him and fell violently to the ground.

“Fuck!”

The three remaining terrorists immediately raised their weapons and sought to hide behind the tall trees and tropical vegetation outside the B&B.

Charro grabbed Micaela’s hand with a surprised look on his face, “Someone has come to save us.”

The leader of one of the terrorists, ordered two of his men, “Go there and search! Kill the bastards for me.”

The two terrorists went to the assassin from before with guns raised. The leader of the terrorists pulled a black pistol from his waistband and pointed it at Micaela’s head, shouting in the darkness deep in the trees, “Come out! Come out or I’ll kill the hostage.”

Nico, hiding behind a tree, stared at the black man with the gun raised, gritting his teeth and clenching his voice in fury, “Fuck you! Don’t you dare touch my wife.”

Nico slumped to the ground and closed one eye to the sight, “Shit! Go to hell.”

Aim, load and fire in one fluid motion.

Bang!

A hit is a hit!

The terrorist leader’s head was blown off and he fell to the ground, wide-eyed.

Adam Rouco and Nico quickly took care of the other two henchmen.

Charro and Micaela look at the four fallen terrorists, momentarily stunned, when movement is heard in the woods. Micaela stands on guard, fearing another wave of terrorists, and hurries to grab her rifle from the ground and take aim at the men running out of the woods across the street.

As soon as the masked Nico jumped out of the woods, he found Micaela pointing her pistol at him and cursing, “Fuck!”

He saved her, and this woman is still pointing a gun at him, doesn’t her conscience hurt?

Micaela frowned slightly, the “fuck” sounded so much like someone’s voice in her memory that Micaela thought she was hallucinating and said coldly in English, “Drop the gun! Hands up!”

Nico and Adam Rouco looked at each other and couldn’t help but laugh as Nico collaborated by tossing the gun in his hand to the side of the lawn and obediently raising his hands.

Adam Rouco couldn’t help but cough slightly, he actually wanted Nico to be more reserved, he was a light bulb and Nico was playing this forbidden and dangerous game with his wife, where was his face?

Micaela raised her gun and addressed Adam Rouco again, blurting out the words, “You will surrender your gun too! Raise your hands.”

“…”

Adam Rouco: Very well.

Adam Rouco threw his gun to the ground and raised his hands.

If Nico doesn’t give him a mine as payment, he won’t even be friends!

Micaela, with pistol raised, cautiously approached the two “terrorists” and ordered: “Take off your masks!”.

Nico raised an eyebrow, “Are you sure?”.

He clearly had his hands up and was being restrained, but the wanderlust and wantonness in his bones was an overbearing, fearless look.

When Micaela heard the familiar low male voice, her mind went blank before she had time to react, the “enemy” had already removed his mask, grabbed Micaela’s arm and pulled her into his arms, sealing her in with a kiss.

The movement was so fast that Micaela barely had time to look at the face of the person in front of her.

Lips were already warm and tingling.

The clean, familiar scent of masculinity immediately enveloped her, filling her mouth, her nostrils and her eyes … with him.

Nico.

Micaela seemed to be dreaming.

The rifle was removed from Nico’s hand, and the man laughed and nibbled gently on her lips, teasing, “Do you know how to shoot? You don’t even have a loaded bullet, what the hell are you doing shooting a gun? But that back there was a bit of posturing.”

“…”
