Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me

Chapter 14 A kidney transplant

Chapter 14 A kidney transplant

"Wesley, Miss Jones's condition is getting worse and worse!" Dr. Johnson hurried over and said, "Once

the operation time is missed, it will be troublesome."

The doctor’s words destroyed the softness in his heart. He pulled back his hand, looked down at

Harriet and asked again, “Harriet, have you made up your mind?”

Harriet heart was sinking down.

She wanted to bet that he would keep the baby.

They had been together for two years. Was there any relationship between them? He had no children

till the time. Would he want to keep the baby?

She thought that she was betting right seeing Wesley's struggling complexion, but Wesley became

indifferent and shattered her because of the doctor's words.

Wesley was impatient with her silence. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

He told the address where Colin lived to the man on the phone. It was the house Harriet bought in the

western suburbs. As if Harriet didn't agree, he would ask people to catch Colin.

"I already get a decision." Harriet tightened her hand on her stomach, as if restraining herself from

trembling. Her red lips were raised high, "I want eight million, and we end our relationship after the

surgery!"

The amount she asked for was huge, but Wesley didn't frown, "I let assistant Moor transfer the money

to your card."

"Okay, thank you, Wesley." Harriet smiled, pretending to be relaxed, "Yes, I was only a recreational

thing you raised. The baby will live a suffering life if he is born."

She moved her eyesight away the man and left.

Her fake smile and her pale face made Wesley feel guilty, and it wasn't until the person at the end of

the phone shouted at him he finally got back his sense. He told on the phone that he would not put

Colin to jail and hung up the phone.

Harriet followed the doctor into the operating room.

There were several doctors and nurses standing in the operating room, with frowning faces, seemingly

being very nervous about this kidney replacement operation. On the operating table next to her, there

was already a young woman wearing a hospital uniform.

The woman had long maroon hair, and her skin was white without any trace of blood.

Harriet looked at her beautiful face, and there was a flash in her head. She thought that she had met

her before, but didn't have time to recall the details as the medicine ingested in her body took effect,

and her eyes closed slowly.

When Harriet opened her eyes again, she found she was in a ward. The sky was dark.

She tried to sit, but her body was so weak. It happened that the nurse came in to change Harriet's

medicine and she told her that this was a normal phenomenon after the operation. She would be fine

tomorrow.

Harriet asked, "I lost my child, right?"

"Yeah, you can't keep the child for the operation," the nurse stuttered.

The nurse probably couldn't say any more. She changed her medicine and left in a hurry. Harriet

toughed her stomach, and her heart was followed by a wave of sadness.

In the end she still couldn't keep the tenacious baby.

Harriet ate a bit of food from the nurse and dazed for a while and fell asleep.

When she woke up the next day, she was much better and able to sit up.

She heard the nurses talking about the successful surgery. Wesley's fiancée did not show rejection with

the new kidney. She woke up this morning and was taken care of by Wesley.

Wesley grew up with his fiancée, and their families were in good relationship. His fiancée had been

studying abroad. She returned not only because of illness, but also because she wanted to get

engaged with Wesley this time.

Harriet listened to the gossips of the nurses and smiled.

She guessed that Wesley had a fiancée when she saw those reports before, but she didn't expect it to

be true. And he only loved her, waiting for her to return for so many years.

"Beep." Harriet's mobile phone had a new text message.

It was the eight million transferred. And there were two Facebook messages from Wesley. They wrote

that he bought a single villa for her in Plumwave Bay under her name.

Harriet officially texted back two words: Thank you. Then she added him to blacklist without hesitation.
