Chapter 13 Sell the Clinic
Chapter 13 Sell the Clinic
After figuring out an excuse to make Melvin leave, Margery went to see the nurse who sent her food before. Then she bought some bandages and medical disinfectant. She decided to bandage her own wound by herself.
She didn't think it was necessary to come to a doctor. Besides, she still had to pay the forty thousand medical fees for Andrew. She had to save money as much as she could.
"Thank you, Ms. Willis." Margery nodded at the nurse and then walked towards the lady's room.
"Ms. Bryne, where are you going? The doctor is over there!"
Noticing that there was something wrong with Margery, Willis followed her behind.
When she followed Margery into the lady's room, she saw her reaching out the back of her head and struggled to bandage herself while looking at the mirror. Willis was rendered agitated. She immediately walked over and grabbed the bandage to bind up her head in a professional way. Then she said with concern, "Ms. Bryne, you are bleeding so much! You have to go to see a doctor! You shouldn't be so mean to yourself even if you did this to save money! What if your husband knows about it? He will definitely be sad!"
Sad?
Margery sat on a chair placed in the lady's room with her head down. Though she felt a bang of pain in her heart, she still kept silent while Willis was cleaning her wound and binding up her head. Suddenly, she let out a sneer out of self-mockery.
She got hurt just because of Golden! How could it be possible that he would be sad for her? NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
Golden would only be sad for the sake of Vivian!
When seeing that she was so distracted, Willis nudged her shoulder and joked, "Hey, Ms. Bryne, I noticed that you just smiled and looked absent-minded when I mentioned your husband just now! Ms. Bryne, you are so pretty and you love him so much! Your husband must be the most fortunate man in the world."
"Probably."
Margery still looked calm as usual. However, she clenched her fists hard while both her arms hung loosely beside her thighs.
Willis soon finished bandaging her wound. She then took off the hairpin. Margery' long and smooth hair hung down naturally and totally covered the bandage. Then Willis smiled, "Okay, perfect! Now your hairs have covered the bandage. No one could tell that you have a wound on your head."
"Thank you, Ms. Wallis."
Margery looked quite grateful to her. She smiled and said thanks to her again. When she just walked out of the lady's room, she got a call from Melvin, "Margery, I have finished what you asked me to do. Surprise, right? Don't worry. I have told some of my friends to do that for me. No matter how well- informed Golden is, he will never know that it was I who transferred the money to you. And I think you should get the money now. Two hundred thousand. Is it enough for the medical fee for Andrew? If you need more, I can offer you an extra sum of money of five million! After all, you are still known as Mrs. Barrett! But now you live such a miserable life, why don't you come back to me? To be girlfriend, okay?"
Margery grabbed her phone hard and simply ignored his crazy request. She forced out a smile with her lips pressed, "Thank you for the acquisition of my clinic. I will treat you to dinner when I am free. That's it. Bye."
Now she had totally realized the truth after hearing what Vivian was saying and being set up by her again. However, she still had no idea why Vivian hated her so much.
Though she did nothing wrong, Vivian would still set her up.
Golden would definitely take away her clinic and the custody of Andrew and transferred them to Vivian.
Now, since she had sold her clinic, she had to figure out a way to seize the custody of Andrew.
Margery was thinking about a solution while she was walking back to the ward of Andrew.
However, when she passed by a doctor office, while the door of which was unclosed, she happened to take a glimpse. However, she had never expected that she would see such a 'sweet' scene.
