Chapter 44: From Nightmares To Being Robbed

Chapter 44: From Nightmares To Being Robbed

CHAD

May 14 2018

I jerk awake, gasping for air, and search my body frantically, anxiously patting down my torso. It had all

been a dream. A real disturbing dream that's left me quivering. I wipe the beading sweat from my brow

and attempt to calm my breathing and heart rate. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

"Shit, shit, shit...." I start banging my hands against my steering wheel, evidently freaking the fuck out.

I scrub my trembling hand across my face, removing the fear that has stained my skin. The thought of

Caddie and Jaxson being hurt weighs heavily on me; guilt begins to gnaw at me, and I feel sick to my

stomach. I'm a really shitty brother and a genuine piece of shit Uncle. All right, I admit it, I've accepted

it, but I don't like it anymore.

If I don't die today I vow to change, I vow to stop thinking with my dick and take care of my family. I

chuckle, who would have thought having Amar kill me in my dreams would shake me and wake me. It's

like I've been given a second chance and I don't want to waste it. Do I regret collaborating with

Maddie?

Gods yes, not one of my finest moments. I inwardly facepalm myself.

I shift my eyes and look towards the club, the SUVs gone and I sigh with relief. After a few deep

breaths and some positive self-talk. I step out of my car and into the Autumn breeze.

On trembling limbs, I make my way to the club's door. Before my hand settles on the doorknob, I look in

the window, flinching at my reflection, and hastily finger comb my hair. When I'm satisfied with my

resemblance, I yank open the door, walk through the hallway and whistle like it's just another ordinary

day in paradise.

When I observe that the walkway to my office is clear, I stop whistling, not wanting to draw attention to

myself as I'm not in the chattering mood. I walk into my office and shut the door behind me, sighing,

with relief, leaning my head against the door, thankful my tormentor had left.

I walk towards my desk.

"What the fuck!" I cry out as I stub my leg against something hard.

I look down and my safe is wide open. Dropping to my knees I peer inside and it's empty.

"Fuck!!!! I've been robbed." I yell out, on the verge of crying.

Who the fuck would-

"You're lucky it's just your safe that's been emptied." His sinister voice welcomes me.

When I look up, I watch Amar swivelling in my chair, behind my desk to face me. He has a gun in his

hand, pointing in my direction. I bow my head and silently beg the gods to forgive me and grant me

access to the stairwell that leads to the sky.

'Please.... Not again!' I silently cry, trying not to piss myself.

His shiny shoes appear in front of me and I raise my head slowly running my eyes up his body until

they collide with his.

"I D.. DI.. DID'NT DO IT," I grovel at his feet.

"IT WASNT ME!!!..." I lie through my teeth.

"What wasn't you?" He sneers.

"Ummm." My body continues to tremble.

"Are you a man or woman?." He chuckles, twirls the gun on his finger and passes it to me.

"When I walked in I discovered this on the ground." He smirks.

" The only weapon I carry is a hunters knife. So you don't have to fear getting shot by me." He carefully

raises his slacks, displaying the enormous knife fastened to his higher ankle.

I stand and approach him, I take the gun from his grasp and point it at him.

"Did you also rob me?" With my hands trembling, it's difficult for me to aim the gun at him.

He looks at me and scoffs. "Does it look like I need your chump change?" He shakes his head with

disgrace.

"And if I were you, I'd think about lowering that gun." One side of his lip curls as he snarls.

Lowering the gun, I slip it into the back of my pants and raise both hands mid-air.

"Done." My heart pounds uncontrollably.

His eyes narrow into thin slits as he walks backwards and leans against the edge of my desk, folding

his arms, dominating the aura between us.

"We know Maddie was the one that brought Malayinas father here. But what I want to know is how she

found out about him?"

"I haven't seen or heard from her since you removed her from the premises." I lie, once again.

He rubs his chin, "What about the other women?"

"I doubt it, none of the girls were close like that. They all kept to themselves because they all have

pasts they don't want to share." For once I answer him honestly.

I do my best not to break under the intensity of his gaze as the silence in the room is deafening.

He stands, straightening his suit and runs his hands through his wet hair.

"I will find the answers I seek, I am a very patient man and I always get what I want." He says sternly,

leaving no room for doubt in my mind.

"Let it be known that Malayina belongs to me. Those who wish to harm her will answer to me, and

those who pose a threat to her poses a threat to me as well." He says darkly, his eyes changing from

emerald green to grey.

I frown. He appears to be more possessive than protective of the kid. I know I wouldn't go to great

lengths to protect someone who owed me money.

He clears his throat, breaking my train of thought.

"I'll be sure to spread the word." I promptly reply.

He exits the office with a nod, and I exhale, oblivious to the fact that I had been holding my breath.

MY SAFE!!!!

I storm out of my office; it's time to gather everyone and figure out who the fuck robbed me!
