“We need to talk, Hannah, we need to talk about what happened to Rhoda and how the hell did you get there?” Brandon said and Hannah nodded in response.

“What happened? Did you kill Rhoda?” Brandon asked

“What? Why would you think I would do such” Hannah asked

“I don’t know what to believe Hannah, what happened?” Brandon asked

“I received a text this morning from a strange number to come to a house and the address was sent, I was asked to come alone, or else I would see my son’s dead body.

I couldn’t risk it, I had to go alone” Hannah paused and brought out her phone and showed Brandon the text message which he read.

He stared at the phone number and noticed it was Rhoda’s contact. He brought out his phone to confirm which he did.

“I had gotten to the house and everywhere was so silent, when I got in I met Rhoda’s dead body lying on the ground. And Jayden was in the next room with……..” she paused. She didn’t want to tell Brandon she had seen a gun in Jayden’s hands while he was unconscious.

“I saw Jayden unconscious, I had to take him to the hospital after I called you. I swear to God I didn’t kill Rhoda. I didn’t do it” Hannah said and Brandon sighed softly not knowing what to say or believe.

He knows how much Hannah hated Rhoda and now Rhoda is dead and Hannah was the first person who had seen the dead body? something is off.

If Hannah didn’t kill Rhoda then who did?! He thought.

He didn’t know if Rhoda had any other enemies. Brandon sighed, it pained his heart that Rhoda was dead. He blamed himself. He felt he had ruined her life in the past by raping her and now she’s dead in the home he bought for her.

“You shouldn’t have gone there without me, you should have told me and this wouldn’t be happening,” Brandon said

Just then they heard Jayden groan softly.

“Mommy” Jayden called as he opened his eyes and Hannah rushed towards him.

“Honey I’m here,” Hannah said as she touched his forehead and kissed him.

“How did I get here?” Jayden asked as he managed to sit on the bed with the help of Hannah.

Hannah stared at Brandon and then at Jayden before he finally spoke.

“I found you, I had brought you to the hospital. You’re gonna be fine honey. How are you feeling now” Hannah asked as she managed to smile.

“I’m okay mommy,, what about my siblings, are they safe?” Jayden asked and Hannah nodded in response.

Jayden gave out a breath of relief.

“Mommy I know the person that kidnapped me. The woman from the mall the other day said she needed something you have” Jayden said and Brandon raised his eyebrows

The woman from the mall was Rhoda. Did Rhoda kidnap Jayden? Okay, this is making me more confused. Why would Rhoda kidnap Jayden, Brandon thought.

Something doesn’t feel right.

Just then the doctor walked in and then smiled at Jayden and Hannah.

“I think he’s fit to go home now, he just needs enough rest and would be fine,” the doctor said and Hannah nodded in response.

“I’ll go pay the hospital bills,” Brandon said and with that, he walked out of the ward.

Hannah sighed as she stared at his son.

“Honey, you are going to be fine,” Hannah said and pulled her son into a hug.

The moment they got home, they were welcomed by paparazzi at their gate. The security men opened the gate and the car drove in.

His car came to a stop in front of his mansion. He alighted the car and opened the car door for Hannah and Jayden who both climbed out of the car.

Just Liam walked out of the house.

“I rushed here after I heard what happened! How’s Jayden?” Liam asked

“He’s fine,” Hannah said in response.

“Okay, what the hell is going on, and who the hell brought the paparazzi to my gate,” Brandon asked

“I think someone tipped them off about what had happened. They believe Rhoda is your mistress and they know that mansion was bought by you, they think you killed her” Micheal said as he walked out of the house and everyone turned to him.

“What?!” Brandon muttered

“It’s all over the news already,” Liam said and Brandon muttered shit!!

Just then a car drove inside the compound at full speed and an advanced woman alighted the car, carrying a child in her arms.

It was Rosa and her grandchild, David.

“You!! You Hannah!! You put my son in jail and you killed this child’s mother” Rosa yelled and Hannah stared at her weirdly.

Jayden, who was in his mom’s hands, saw David.

“David!” He muttered and David muttered his name too. Hannah quickly recognized the child in Rosa’s arms, he is her children’s friend and she had met him once in school.

“Please take Jayden inside,” Hannah said to Micheal, who carried Jayden from Hannah and took him inside the house.

“What are you talking about? I put your son in jail because he kidnapped my kids and as for Rhoda, I didn’t kill her, I would never kill anyone” Hannah said and Rosa scoffed and dropped David on the ground.

“Oh spare me that innocent look and words. You were the reason Jeff had thrown Rhoda out of the house, leaving this child without a mother.

That wasn’t enough, you had put Jeff in jail and now killed Rhoda. You are going to pay for this if you do not let my son out of jail ” Rosa yelled

“Do your worst, Rosa Michelson” Hannah said

“You know what? I do not regret making Jeff divorce you in the past.

I’m glad I paid the nurse to kill all your children immediately after they were born and I paid her to poison you. Luckily you survived but in the process lost your womb.

I’m glad I did all of that and if given that opportunity, I would do it again and again” Rosa yelled and Hannah stared at her speechlessly.

“You! You were the one behind this all those time” Hannah said as she made to move towards Rosa to fight her but Brandon held her.

“You, you will pay for everything you did, I promise you, I only pity this poor child who is with you. You all do not deserve him. I promise you Rosa, I will make you pay for ruining my life” Hannah cried as Brandon held her.
