“Now, you’re going to apologize to my wife,” Brandon said as he dragged him towards Hannah and made him kneel in front of her.

“I’m sorry Hannah, I’m sorry” Holland begged and Hannah sighed before walking away.

“Don’t you dare threaten me again” he said and with that, he walked away. Immediately he got outside the restaurant, he met Hannah standing beside his car, looking so furious.

“Was that necessary? I would have dealt with him myself ” she said and Brandon shrugged.

“Yes, it was. He fucking touched you, you are mine and no one is allowed to touch you” Brandon said and Hannah stared at him weirdly.

“You know what? The both of us, it’s a no, it can never work out, I would advise you stop thinking about it” Hannah said and Brandon hummed and moved towards Hannah a bit, while staring deep inside her eyes.

“Say that again,” he said and Hannah pushed him away and hopped inside the car closing the door. Brandon sighed softly and hopped on the driver’s side.

After which, he ignited the engine and zoomed off.

The drive between Hannah and Brandon was a silent one and it felt awkward. Brandon decided to raise a conversation.

“When will you be going to pick up the kids from school? It’s almost their closing time, you can go to the office and I can go get them from

School” Brandon said

“No, thank you. I didn’t ask for your help, Brandon. I’ll go pick them up myself. I just need to get something from the office” Hannah said and Brandon stared at her briefly and then looked away.

His car came to a stop in front of the company and Hannah alighted the car.

Immediately Hannah climbed out of the car, Brandon put his car on revise and left the company.

Hannah on the other hand wondered where he was going. She then shook off the thoughts of it, it was none of her business, she thought as she walked inside the company.

She pressed the elevator Button and to her surprise when it opened Liam could be seen walking out of it.

“Hey, you are leaving so soon?” Hannah muttered wondering where he was going.

“Hey, I just need to get some papers from Colby’s mansion, I’ll be back in a bit,” Liam said and Hannah nodded and walked inside the elevator. She wondered what was wrong with Liam as he sounded so weird and nervous.

Maybe it’s an important file, she thought and shook off the thoughts. She then rushed to her office, carried her bag and car key then walked out of the company, she needed to go pick up the kids from school.

Meanwhile, at Colby’s mansion, Liam opened the front door and walked in. There he met Jessica holding a bag, about to leave the house.

“Hey” Jessica muttered and Liam did the same with a smile on his face. Jessica walked past him and walked out of the house.

Liam then climbed upstairs and walked inside the study room and to his greatest surprise, he saw Brandon and Micheal Adams sitting, while they were discussing.

Immediately Liam walked in, they both raised their heads and stared at him. Liam was looking surprised to see both of them together.

Brandon was hell-bent on finding who killed Rhoda all because he needed to earn Hannah’s forgiveness, he thought feeling almost angry.

“Oh Liam, you just came in time. I was about to call you. Micheal said he would be able to trace Rhoda’s phone and find out if any calls or text messages have been deleted, we are going to find the killer soon and finally…….” Brandon said

“Yeah, this is great news,” Liam said as he replaced his nervous look with a smile on his face.

“Hello Liam,” Micheal said as he stood up and shook hands with Liam.

He then turned to Brandon. “I’ll be on my way, whatever I find, I will let you know,” Micheal said as he put the phone in his pocket and then walked out.

Liam stared at Micheal as he walked out and then turned to Brandon, “Do you think we can trust him?” He asked and Brandon nodded in response.

Just then Liam heard his phone vibrate, it was a message from Mr Holland’s secretary. They were willing to sign the contract and partner with them.

Brandon raised his head and stared at Liam.

“It’s a message from Holland’s secretary. They are willing to partner with us” Liam said and Brandon hummed in surprise.

He wondered what made him change his mind to partner with them after he had hit him for touching Hannah.

“That’s good news then,” Brandon said as he picked up his phone and walked out of his study room, with Liam trailing behind him.

“You should prepare all the documents and all, you will be the one meeting with him this time not me nor Hannah,” Brandon said and Liam mouthed a yes sir.

“But Brandon……” Liam said and Brandon turned to him.

Just as he was about to walk out of the house he met his mom, Camilla walking inside the house with her phone in her hands.

“Brandon, I was about to come to you,” Camilla said and Brandon raised his eyebrows wondering why.

“Is everything okay?” Brandon asked

“Yes, I just saw Micheal on his way out of the house and he told me you want him to investigate and find out who killed Rhoda,” Arianna said and Brandon nodded in response.

“I just wanted to let you know I’m in support of anything you want to do. If you need my help or resources in anything, I’m here alright” Arianna said Brandon nodded and was about to walk away when Arianna held his hands.

“Son!” She called out and Brandon turned to her. She couldn’t believe the little boy she left years ago was now a grown-up man who didn’t need her help with anything, anymore.

She remembered when Brandon was just 3 years old, he would cry if he didn’t see her for just a second and now Brandon seems not to care about her anymore.

It wasn’t her fault. She was only separated from him.

“Mom, are you alright?” Brandon asked when he noticed Camilla was staring at him with tears slipping down her cheeks.

“Yeah, I’m okay. I’m okay” she said as she jolted out of her thoughts and wiped her tears.

Brandon stared at her and sighed softly. Even if he tries to act tough, like he doesn’t care for his mommy, he still does care about her a lot. He thought as he stared at her with more tears slipping down her cheeks.

He wiped her tears and pulled her into a hug.
