Rosalie froze instantly. She didn't even want to show Aurora basic courtesy. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

With a cold expression, she said, "To avoid an argument between us, leave now."

She didn't want to quarrel with Aurora. It was obvious Aurora had misunderstood her, and was full of arrogance and prejudice. There was nothing worth discussing with this woman.

"This is a public place. What's wrong with me standing here? Are you feeling guilty, Mrs. Carter?" Aurora deliberately emphasized the words, Mrs. Carter. "Even though you have a husband, you still can't stop clinging to your ex-husband. Pretending to go missing-you put on quite a good show!"

"Stop talking nonsense! Do you even know what happened? You're just making baseless accusations without knowing the full story. I can only say that you're shallow," Rosalie snapped.

"Shallow? Oh really?" Aurora laughed. "Mrs. Carter, I'm still better than you even if I'm shallow. I'm not the one clinging shamelessly to another woman's boyfriend. I'm already carrying his child, but you're still so shameless."

"Can you have some self-respect?" Rosalie retorted.

"Me, have no self-respect? I think you're the one with no self-respect." Aurora clenched her fists.

There was no trace of her previous gentleness on her face. Her eyes were filled with only hatred.

"Rosalie, you've resorted to any means necessary to get Theodore. You even pretended to go missing so he'd come looking for you. Unfortunately, you failed. This time, your scheming backfired and only made Theodore treasure me even more. Shall I tell you about the pleasurable things he and I did last night?"

Aurora gently touched the corner of her mouth.

"He really enjoys it when I use this."

"And..." Aurora continued smugly, "his fingers are so long and slender. I particularly love that. Every time, I lose myself completely, let alone with other...methods."

Rosalie suddenly felt a wave of nausea. She didn't want to hear these details; they were disgusting.

"Oh, is that so? It seems you enjoy it a lot. Just carry on with it, then. Don't show off in front of me. Don't you feel ashamed to talk about this?"

"Ashamed? What's there to be

et

ashamed of? Isn't it normal for a promiscuous woman like you? A woman as loose as you, messing around with so many men-haven't you already been played by countless men?" Aurora bit back.

Smack! Rosalie slapped her hard across the face.

"You're disgusting!" she snarled. "Watch your filthy mouth!"

With a thud, Aurora fell to the ground and started crying.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Carter! I didn't mean to come here. I just accidentally wandered to the wrong place. didn't know you were here. If I had known, I certainly wouldn't have come."

Rosalie watched Aurora's quick

change of demeanor. She didn't

believe this slap had made the latter

come to her senses, nor did she

believe Aurora was truly frightened.

Just moments ago, she was so aggressive and making vile comments. Why did she suddenly...

"Aurora!"

A man's voice sounded from behind Rosalie.

Rosalie immediately understood why Aurora had changed her attitude. It was all part of her plan.

The sound of Theodore's footsteps grew closer. He ran over, lifted Aurora from the ground, and held her tightly in his arms. "Aurora, are you alright?"

Aurora clutched her burning cheek, looking at Theodore with tear-filled eyes.

"Theodore, I... I feel so miserable. My face hurts so much. I don't understand what I did to deserve such treatment."
