CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 857

The phone rang for a long time before Wilfred finally picked up. His voice sounded weak. "What is it?"

"Nina is trapped at Pharaoh's place," Nash said in a hoarse voice.

Wilfred's voice suddenly rose, almost breaking, "What did you say?"

After a moment of silence, his anger surged, "Nash, didn't you promise to protect Nina?"

And there was also Scarlett with Nina.

Nash remained silent, his expression grave. His throat felt as if it were constricted, making it difficult to speak. Nina being in danger was undoubtedly his failure. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been poisoned, and they wouldn't have lost their child.

"Micah specifically asked for you."

"Understood," Wilfred replied curtly and hung up. He didn't say much, but Nash was certain that Wilfred wouldn't let anything happen to Nina.

Nina stayed at Micah's quarters no longer returning to the slave camp. She received the best food, and Micah even had new clothes sent to her.

She understood that as long as Micah wanted to see Wilfred and use her to control Nash, he wouldn't let anything happen to her. So, she ate and changed clothes without making things difficult for herself. Unexpectedly, Pharaoh came to visit. His mask made him look particularly intimidating. With his hands behind his back, he almost lost his composure upon seeing Nina.

He had investigated and found that

Nina's face was natural, not

surgically altered. She came from an ordinary family, with a mother

named Julia, a father named Zion,

and a husband named Nash.

"I never expected that your husband would nearly topple my troops. And you, with your background, still managed to catch the attention of my son," Pharaoh's cold voice lashed out at Nina.

Nina glanced at him and then looked away. A man in a mask held no interest for her. Besides, she had her suspicions about certain things and a strong dislike for Pharaoh.

Pharaoh noticed her silence and the look of disgust she had just given him, but before he could say anything, Micah stepped in.

Micah positioned himself protectively in front of Nina, "Nina is staying at my place. If you have so much free time, why don't you focus on your experiments and stop meddling here?"

Pharaoh didn't respond, his expression hidden behind his mask. However, Micah's protective stance towards Nina did not go unnoticed by Pharaoh.

He remarked, "I just had a few words with her, and you're already so tense. If something actually happened to her, wouldn't you be dying?"

Pharaoh's mocking tone was clear,

but Micah knew better than to respond to it. While death might be an exaggeration, he needed to get to the bottom of things rather than being left in the dark. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

"I don't want to argue with you in front of others," Micah said coldly.

Pharaoh said nothing more and turned to leave. His visit to Micah's quarters made Ivy feel extremely uneasy. Pharaoh knew Nina was there, yet he did nothing. Even Nash had managed to leave successfully.

This left Ivy wondering. If Micah was showing favoritism towards Nina, what about Nash?

Did Micah favor Nash too, or had they reached some kind of agreement?
