Chapter 25 Revenge

Chapter 25 Revenge

Chapter 25 Revenge

Louis glanced at her sidelong, finding her eyes red and smelling alcohol from her body. How much did she drink in this short period?

Unhappy about it, he tried to push her away, but Blanche clung to him like a lifeline.

A beam of light fell on her face, revealing delicate skin as white as snow. The lower half of her face was still covered by the mask. Louis couldn't understand what could be so terrifying about her appearance.

But this woman was really a disgrace to him.

"Stay still and stay away from me," he snapped.

"Barf."

Blanche almost vomited as a wave of alcohol rushed up her throat.

Suppressing his annoyance, Louis tried again to push her away, but she wouldn't budge.

Daniel and Nicky looked at each other in shock, unable to believe what they were seeing.

Louis was mortified. He had always been a shining star, and his friends had the chance to see him embarrassed for the first time. It was all because of Blanche.

He turned to Daniel, saying, "Come over and help me take care of her. I'm going to tidy up my clothes."

Daniel gasped. "Well, I think you'd better do it yourself. Her face... It's inappropriate for me to touch her."

Daniel backed away, and Louis realized that he was doing it on purpose. He looked as though he couldn't accept the fact that Louis had such an ugly wife.

Louis gritted his teeth and turned to Nicky, who looked at him sympathetically. He too was afraid of approaching Blanche.

In his desperation, Louis managed to pull Blanche away a little, but she soon came close.

She clung to him like a vine.

Suppressing his anger, he looked at her and demanded, "Tell me what is going on."

"They bullied my friend and forced me to drink... barf," Blanche said. Then, as if something occurred to her, she let go of Louis and lunged toward Zach like a mad person. Taking revenge, she punched and kicked him.

"You bastard! How dare you bully my friend and make me drink. See? I am the hostess of the Herbart family. I'd like to see if you dare cause trouble for her again."

Zach held his head in pain and begged for mercy. With Louis around, he didn't dare to fight back.

"I'm sorry, madam. Mr. Herbart, help. I was wrong to offend you. Please spare my life," he pleaded.

Louis and Nicky watched in shock as Blanche beat up Zach.

She scratched his face and kicked him again before stopping.

"You're cancer to society, scum."

As if tired of hitting the man, Blanche lunged back and wrapped her arms around Louis again.

"Let's go home, honey. I'm so tired. I need to go back."

Louis looked at her quizzically. Tired of hitting someone? What had this woman done? This was crazy. And she came back to cling to him like a koala.

Louis glanced at Zach, who was black and blue. This punishment was too light for him. If Louis did it in person, the man would be confined to bed for a year.

Seeing the hostility in Louis' eyes, Zach went down on his knees and begged for mercy.

"Mr. Herbart, I was wrong to offend you tonight. Please let me go."

Louis' eyes darkened, and he looked away after a while.

Deep down, he knew that he couldn't get rid of Blanche. He only hoped he could get her into the car as soon as possible.

"If you ever come out to drink again, I'll chop you up," he warned her.

Since it was improper to drag her away, he picked her up in spite of his disgust.

Daniel and Nicky stifled their laughter.

It was his wife, and he had to carry her away no matter what.

Louis carried Blanche out of the club and threw her into the backseat. She quickly got up and made a scene. Without a choice, Louis sat down with her. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Sit still."

Jack looked back in surprise.

"Drive," Louis instructed in a cold voice.

After the car drove off, Blanche felt stuffy and raised her hand to open the window for some fresh air.

Louis pulled her back. Did she have no regard for her life?

Blanche fell onto his lap and blinked up at him. His face was perfect.

"Honey, you're so attractive!" she babbled.

Louis was speechless.

Blanche suddenly closed her eyes and seemed to feel better. She kicked off her shoes and swung her legs up onto the comfortable leather seat. Then she snuggled up against him.

Her slender arms wrapped around his waist as hard as a branding iron. Louis stiffened and instinctively wanted to pull her hands away when the woman suddenly fell quiet. It somehow made his heart soften.

After a while, his brows were unknitted, and he relaxed into the peaceful moment.

The woman was quiet, and his hand gently touched her forehead.

For the first time in his life, he felt confused. Everyone said that this woman was ugly and those who had seen her face had all reacted with exaggerated horror.

But he had seen a photo of her. Although she was not beautiful, he didn't think she was that terrible.

The skin of her forehead felt as tender and smooth as an egg.

He gently brushed away the messy bangs from her face, afraid that she would wake up and make a scene again. A strange emotion welled up in his chest.

As time passed, he didn't feel as strongly about her ugliness anymore. Now he felt more like he had brought home a mischievous woman.

His hand moved down to her mask. He paused to get mentally prepared as he was going to unveil her face.

But just as his hand touched her mask, Blanche suddenly looked up, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him on the lips.

Louis' eyes widened in shock.

Even through the thin layer of the mask, he could feel the warmth and softness of her lips.

He had kissed a woman just like that, but it was just a peck. Blanche let go of his neck, turned her head, and lay back down, blinking as she looked at the handsome face above her.

She didn't realize she had just kissed him.

In the driver's seat, Jack saw everything and was shocked to no end.

Then he pretended not to see anything and focused on driving.
