August Visitor
IVAN
Gosh! I’m so bored in here. Nathan, my cousin, came around for a surprise visit yesterday. We met him at home when we got back from the restaurant yesterday. I’m really happy to have him around, he’s really fun to be with, and to know that we’ll be staying together for long, my joy knew no bound.
Nora left this afternoon for some appointment at one Apple company, or whatever she said the name was, leaving me all alone in boredom.
After surfing the internet for nothing, I finally dropped my phone, and went to the kitchen to make something, I know they’ll soon be home, and I wouldn’t want them getting hungry. Stepping into the kitchen, my eyes roamed around the place, as I kept contemplating on what to cook.
“Maybe I should just make pasta.” I said, then shrugged and got to business. I started cooking, giving it all my attention, to avoid burning down the house. Thirty minutes later, the food was all set, so I dished them out, before taking them to the dinning area, where I arranged them neatly on the table.
I was still in the dinning area, when I heard the door opened, followed by footsteps, and I didn’t need anyone to tell me that they’re home.
“Ivan… Ivan.” Nora’s voice came on tiredly. This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
Cleaning my hands on the apron, I walked to the living room, where I met the both of them, sitting tiredly on the couch, like they just did some hard job or something.
“You came early… and why are you looking that tired? Did you went to break stones or something? I asked in amusement, forcing myself not to laugh.
“You’re so annoying, you couldn’t even asked how the work went, but instead, you decided to make fun of me.” Nora rolled her eyes.
“You shouldn’t be angry little angel, you know your brother can be a nerve wrecking fellow, so just overlook his attitude.” Nathan chipped in, smirking at me.
“Whatever! Anyways, I made food.” I smiled.
“Seriously? What says by your time?” Nathan scoffed, glancing at his wrist watch, before throwing his head on the couch dramatically.
“It’s just 5pm.” I shrugged, as I glanced at the wall clock, and back to them, having a confused look on my face.
“So what do we call this food now? Lunch, dinner or super?” Nora asked, with a funny look on her face.
“You should be grateful I made something for you two. You’re so annoying.” I scoffed, as I rolled my eyes, before going to sit beside my little angel.
“Eeeew! You smell of…”
“You haven’t hugged me, remember?” I cut her off, making a puppy face.
“That’s why you need a girlfriend dude, I am your sister, not your girlfriend.” She smirked at me, before turning her gaze away.
“Whatever!” I rolled my eyes.
“So aren’t we going to eat?” I asked.
“Just keep the food in the refrigerator, I’ll eat mine later.” Nathan said, as he took the TV remote from the center table, before turning on the TV.
“Same here.” Nora added.
Letting out a sigh, I stood up sluggishly, and made my way to the dinning area. I will never in my life try to impress these two annoying fellows, they’re just a joy killer. I packed up everything, including mine, and went to keep it in the refrigerator as instructed, before going to join them in the living room, where they were watching a Korean movie.
“So, how was work today?” I asked, seeing how tired my angel looked.
“Work was fine. The lady I did make-up for, is just so sweet, nice and a calmed person. You won’t believe this, she actually gave me a job offer, I’m now her personal make-up artist. I’m so happy.” She gushed happily.
“Wow, that’s a good news.” I smiled happily, as I pulled her into my arms, hugging her tenderly. All I always want for her, is to be happy, if she is, then I’ll be too.
“Thanks bro.” She smiled excitedly.
“So guess what.” She waved her hands in the air happily.
“What’s it baby?” I asked curiously.
“My new boss, the lady I just told you about, she lives next door.” She screamed excitedly.
“And she’s really hot.” Nathan added, winking at me.
I suddenly became interested to hear the full story, just the mention of the hotness of the mysterious lady, triggers my curiosity.
“Who’s she?” I asked curiously, as I adjusted on my seat.
“I think she mentioned that her name is Eve.” She replied.
“Don’t even think of that man, the lady looked like she’s gonna be one of those strict beauty.” Nathan scoffed.
“Cmon Nathan, you didn’t know her from somewhere, do you?” Nora rolled her eyes at him.
“Even if I don’t know her from Adam, I saw it on her face, I saw it written all over her, she’s not an easy going person.” He shrugged.
“You’re so dramatic, you know? Was it written on her forehead? Like I don’t understand you.” I scoffed, looking at him unbelievably.
“Whatever!” He rolled his eyes, before turning his attention to the TV.
“Anyways, she told me that she’ll be coming here tonight.” She said excitedly.
A strong wave of excitement crept into me, as a smile crept on my face at the mention of that, but it didn’t last for long, as it slowly dissipated into a small frown, as realization dawned on me that I’ll be going out with miss Becky tonight. Maybe I’ll meet this hot girl some other time.
We talked about random things, laughing, and making fun of each other. We were still having a good time, when my phone came buzzing. Reaching out to it, I checked the caller ID, before sliding the answer button.
“Hey Audrey.” I said on the phone, as soon as is I picked up.
“Hello man, there’s a party at Exclusive hotel tonight, mind coming with us? Alex is going too.” His voice came on.
“Not today man, I gat something to attend to later, but if I’m able to get done with it early, then be sure to have me in your midst.” I said.
“Ok man, will call you later.” He said, before ending the call.
“So guys…” My voice was interrupted, as a knock came on the door.
“That must be her.” Nora said excitedly, before rushing to open the door.
“Who are you?” I heard her asked whoever was at the door, and I didn’t need anyone to tell me that it’s not who she was expecting.
Whoever was at the door, walked in, and raising my gaze to look at him or her, I was welcomed with the shock of my life. What! How did she know this place?…
