Billionaire’s Second Chance Sweetheart

Chapter 71

He pounded the door till the firefighter helped him open it. He entered and searched for her…

He saw the restroom door was open.

When he opened the bathroom door, he found her sitting on the chilly tile, her face pallid from the cold water.

It seemed like a pair of huge, unseen hands firmly held his heart, making him feel very uneasy.

He couldn’t wait any longer and rushed to her aid.

Jeorge Milton rescued her from the smokey hallway with the aid of the firemen. “How are you, are you hurt?” he asked, taking off his clothing and wrapping them over her.

Ava Lins lifted her gaze to the sky. The fire was becoming bigger and bigger, and the firefighters were doing their best to put it out.

How hot was the fire?

Her heart, her history…

She stared at Jeorge Milton, Just as she was ready to speak, her eyesight dimmed, and she lost consciousness. She fainted…

He reacted quickly and held his arm over her shoulders, preventing her from falling.

The fire destroyed numerous residences, including Ava Lins’ tiny flat. The only items remaining were the pictures she had preserved in her cabinet.

Jeorge Milton received the photographs.

He opened the package and found several photographs…

The image came from a child’s recollection.

Jeorge Milton took one of her family photographs and focused on the person in it.

So, in a family of five, the lady standing behind Ava Lins was…

His dark eyes narrowed as he fixed his deep stare on that woman’s sweet smile. This is her mother.

It was time to shut the box. “Wait till Mrs. Ben wakes up,” he added, handing her the package.

Mrs. Ben, shocked, took the package and nodded.

He rose up. Her palm-sized face was pallid.

He walked away, his eyes retracted.

Ava Lins recently visited Belli Tannu.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

She didn’t dare contact Omi Lins, and she didn’t want to believe that he had departed.

“Kitty, it is up to you,”Georgesaid as he walked inside her chamber, seeing her sadness.

After he finished speaking, he let go of the chain.

Kitty appeared to grasp its master’s meaning and objective, sprinting towards Ava Lins.

He approached Ava Lins feet, circled around a few times, sat down, and lifted his head to face her. He yelled at her a few times, then leaned on the side of her foot and sat.

Kitty with pure white fur was young and adorable. Especially its eyes, which were framed in black, giving it the impression of a gentleman…

It drew Ava Lin’s attention and she couldn’t help but stroke its velvety fur.

Kitty felt caressing it and came closer to her, making it more appealing. It knelt and caressed its head, touching its spectacles, then lifted its head high, not allowing her touch it.

“Where did you come from?” he asked, his lips twisted in a grin.

She lifted her eyes and saw Jeorge Milton going away with his walking stick, and knew he had brought the dog here.

To make her happy?

He had not spoken to her for two days, but she knew he was quietly following her.

She feigned not to know anything and didn’t want to react.

He scooped up the puppy and stroked its hair, her heart glowing with genuine affection.

Ava Lins’ mood had improved today with the dog’s companionship, but she was still reluctant to communicate.

The sky became darker…

The puppy that had been on her bed had vanished, and when she walked downstairs, she discovered it by Jeorge Milton.

The sole light in the living room was a dull yellow wall light, and Jeorge Milton was also hidden in the darkness.

She was ready to return home when she heard a cough.

Cough, cough…

One after another, he coughed as though from the lungs…

She glanced up just in time to see him lift his gaze to her.

Their gazes locked, and she saw sensations in his dark, fascinated eyes.

He didn’t say anything and just stared at her, making Ava Lins afraid to look him in the eye.

She had always feared him.

His eyes had always been fierce, straight…

As though he wanted to see into her soul.

See her whole mind.

She went to his side, taking the initiative to speak the first words, “Stop drinking.””Your health is bad.”

“You care about me?

“It’s been three or four days,” he said sadly, as she didn’t respond. That was your first comment.”

He cocked his head and gazed at Ava Lins for a moment.

He offered her a clean glass, poured half a glass of wine into it.

He didn’t ask Ava Lins if she wanted to drink, he simply calmly gave her the wine cup and stuck it out, as if he was wagering whether she would or not.

Ava Lins first refused to swallow it, but seeing him insistently, she extended her hand.

She took it, holding the wine cup in both hands.

The wine’s smell bewitched her nose, causing her palm to clench as she lifted it to her lips and swallowed it down.

Her throat burned as the somewhat spicy liquid trickled down her neck.

She waited, frowning, o…

“Do you know how to play?” he asked, pulling a poker card from beneath the coffee table and placing it on the table.”

“Come, sit,” he murmured cleverly, as she shook her head and looked at him with curiosity.

She sat alongside him and silently observed”

“I used to play when I couldn’t decide. He paused and glanced at her with a puzzled expression, then retreated his eyes and stopped speaking.

“So what if I can’t figure it out?” she questioned, wanting to hear his response.”

“Then keep flipping till you get there,” he grinned, determined.

Then Ava Lins glanced at his side profile and saw a man who was very obstinate…

Whatever he determined to do, he would do it at any cost…

Ava Lins felt dizzy seeing his chilly face.

And it’s hot…

She didn’t mind the disorientation and sat near him while he changed the tables.

Jeorge Milton turned his head to look at her, only to see her red lips glistening, as if trying to seduce him…
