Chapter 67
He tried to pry her hand away, but her strength was too great for him to throw her off.
Her pulling tore off all of his paintings…
Goden Bran’s car arrived just as they were pulling. Seeing them arguing, he opened the car door and ran over to pull Omi Lins.
Then he said, “Crazy woman,” to Belli Tannu.
She was about to leave as she drew back her ripped clothes.
“No!”
Belli Tannu walked up, grabbed Omi Lins’ clothes, and yanked him backwards.
A few steps back, Omi Lins lost his balance due to her pull. Stepping on the edge, the stone under his feet loosened and rolled downwards.
“Ah…” he cried, sliding down the slope, one hand clenching the stone’s edge. His entire body hung precariously on the edge, his entire weight on the stone in his hand.
“Help…”
Belli Tannu was terrified and could only walk back.
“Omi Lins, hold on to me,”Goden Bran yelled, grabbing Omi Lins’ arm.
Omi Lins was already afraid of heights, so when he looked down and saw 30, 000 meters, his heart raced and his face paled.
It was so high that falling meant death.
He clung to Goden Bran’s hand, struggling to climb the stone. Helpless, he rolled the stone, almost causing Goden Bran to slide down with him…
Goden Bran’s face turned red and his arms’ veins bulged as he pushed himself to the limit.
But Omi Lins weighed an adult and he held it with one hand. A strong pulling force from Goden Bran’s arm almost broke his hand.
A scream came from behind him…
He was still holding onto his arm when he slid down. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t stop Omi Lins from falling down the mountain…
Omi Lins’ screams echoed…
Goden Bran was stunned, and Aya rushed over, her round eyes looking down…
“Why did you kill him! “, she screamed hysterically at Goden Bran and Belli Tannu.
Goden Bran couldn’t breathe because his throat felt stuffed with cotton.
He couldn’t believe his eyes…
Omi Lins, his brother-in-law, disappeared instantly.
The heavens seemed to have sensed the girl’s heartbroken wails and began to pour down torrential rain in an instant.
The bean-sized raindrops soaked their bodies and dripped into Goden Bran’s heart, making him unable to breathe due to his chest being so heavy.
Ava Lins panicked even more when she saw the heavy rain outside, causing her to lose focus.
“Do you have something on your mind?”Jeorge Milton asked, dropping his laptop and staring at her.
“Huh?
“No, I’m just a little uneasy,”Ava Lins shook her head.
“I keep getting the sense that something is about to happen,” she said faintly, clutching her chest.
Her phone rang as she finished.
Ava Lins grabbed her phone to take the call from Omi Lins’ class teacher, who claimed Omi Lins had gone to the picnic with his classmates today, but no one could find him.
When Ava Lins heard this, she rushed to say, “No, Omi Lins didn’t come back.”
“I have important business to attend to, I need to go quickly,” she replied, dropping the items in her hands and grabbing the Package.
She threw open the door and vanished before he could question.
“Go locate Omi Lins,”Jeorge Milton said, dialing David Irving’s phone.
“He’s in danger.”
Ava Lins sat alone at the police station, waiting.
She couldn’t picture anything happening to Omi Lins…
He had spoken to her like a man last night, he couldn’t…
She was soaked in rain when she arrived, and she sat here feeling extremely chilly…
Her eyes were puffy and reddening as she embraced herself and bowed her head.
Suddenly, she saw a pair of men’s leather shoes.
Also crutches
Ava Lins lifted her head and stared at Jeorge Milton, his walking stick in hand.
“I’m terribly worried, where will Omi Lins go?” she wailed like a kid. He never does this, so his phone isn’t off and no one can locate him.”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
“It will be OK, don’t think too much, hmm?”
“Who is Omi Lins’ family member?” said a police officer worried.
“I am,”Ava Lins answered, wiping away tears from the corner of her eyes.
“These were found on the mountain summit, it is quite probable that the missing boy tumbled down the mountain,” We, will try our utmost to find him, however… Be psychologically prepared, since chances of survival are slim. ”
“You said…”
“I’m not going to believe it,”Ava Lins said, her eyes widening in shock. “I’m not going to believe it.”
The cop grumbled, turned around, and departed…
The dam closed, and Ava Lins felt her heart wounded as she thought of the terrified Omi Lins sliding down the mountain.
Omi Lins won’t leave me, therefore I’ll seek for him.
“Let go of me, I’m going to go for Omi Lins,” she struggled as she said and was ready to depart.
“How will you find him now?
Jeorge Milton yelled frantically to wake her.
He extended his arms and embraced her fiercely, letting her weep as much as she needed. “I’ll help you find him.”
“It’s too late to get to the mountain, Ava Lins, calm down.”
He used all his might to hold her, and when he used it again, his left leg ached…
She was still able to take advise and didn’t want to seek for him. His legs couldn’t take the strain and he couldn’t catch up to her.
He wanted to return her, but she shook her head no.
She feared being alone if she returned to that home…
She feared being alone and in agony if Goden Bran didn’t return tonight.
She couldn’t face the empty room, just herself…
But she had no idea Goden Bran had come home and was smoking nonstop in his study.
The ashtray was full with cigarette butts.
As he coughed, his throat hurt and every nerve in his body ached.
He hadn’t switched on the lights and the home was dark. He sat at his desk all day, till it was dark and twilight outside.
In the dim light, he could see his cigarette. It was engulfed in starlight and covered in smoke.
Goden Bran’s heart would race whenever he thought about Omi Lins.
He couldn’t face Ava. So he was even more guilty.
