I stared at him in shock.

Maynard is back?

What?!

” Maynard is back?”Zoe screamed in horror and he nodded.

I rushed out of the office running towards the CEO office as fast as my leg could carry me.

Maynard is back, My Maynard is back.

I tried as much as possible not to son, This is too overwhelming for me, How come he came back without telling anyone?

Why?, He should have at least give me a hint or call me.

This man is just so impossible.

Getting there, I panted heavily, I’ve been getting tired these days due to my condition.

I opened the door and turned it slowly, I could sense that Zoe was behind me, Panting in horror.

His figure was the first thing my eyes searched in the room, Then, I saw him in white best with a black jacket, Looking hot as usual.

I sobbed.

” Maynard”I smiled and he turned to me, He was surprised to see me.

His eyes glinted.

” Hi” He replied casually before turning to Brea who looked like a bloated animal.

Her face pale already, She’s shocked to see Maynard, Just like everyone is surprised to see him.

Mateo waved at me and bobbed his head, Telling me to leave.

There were other three people in the room, An old couple with a guy wearing face cap.

I smiled sadly before walking out.

Then, Zoe rushed in with Mr. Alvarez, The old master of the family.

It’s going to get heated.

MAYNARD POV

” You must be surprised to see me here “I chuckled and watched the heavy rise and fall of her chest, She looked like she has just seen a ghost.

Of course, Mateo parents whom she sent some assassin’s to ki*ll, Royce was smart enough to get them, They lied to Brea that the deed is done while we stayed low for about three months, Just like what Mom advised us to do.

” What are you doing here, Uncle?”She stuttered and the man gave her a deafening slap, Blood came out of the other side of her ear immediately, She gasped and the whole place fell in silence.

He’s so raged.

” I did everything for us, Yet, You betrayed me, You thought you can get away with this?” She heabed heavily in anger and I scoffed.

” You’ve always been so evil, Desperate and devil you are, I thought you were a good friend when Mom introduced you to me about seven years ago as an old high school friend, Not knowing that you were a devil incarnate, You did everything you could do to frame Dad and forced him to marry you, You made her leave with a six weeks pregnancy “I yelled and she gasped.

Ever since Brea married Dad, She’s been trying to give him a baby but was it impossible, Brea doesn’t have a womb again.

She even cheated on him.

Then, Magnolia walked in with Zoe.

I turned to her and my eyes beamed, She’s now more beautiful and fat…

I didn’t want any distraction for now, After arresting Brea, I will go back to where my mom is and persuade her to come with me.

After a while, Dad entered the look, He panicked when he saw his old friend.

” I told you I married Brea already, Why did you come here to threaten my son again?, He’s just recuperating”

” Dad”I breathed and urge him to come to me.

He looks so vulnerable and weak, His health had been failing him.

” I’m sorry”Mateo’s Dad cried and hugged him immediately.

” Is this what y’all plan to do?, You want to arrest me and gain the whole Alvarez corporations to yourself? ”

” It has always been mine, It was my mom’s hardwork, She builded this because if her hardwork, Not until you came to ruin everything”I roared.

” Even Zoe as well, She was part of this, She was in this”

” And she will be punished the same way you will be too”

” Maynard”Zoe whimpered, I glared at her.

She was sobbing hard, They are all screwed, I will make them face the wrath according to what they did.

They will pay for this greatly.

” She forced me to do this, She forced me to victimze Magnolia, it wasn’t my doing, I can explain this”She explained trying to clear herself.

” I took the documents, And I’ve kept it where no one can reach”

The cops entered and they bundled them away, Brea looked so devilish and angry.

They handcuffed her hand, Suddenly, She pulled a gun behind her and aimed it at me.

I gasped, What?!

She pulled the trigger and shot it, I closed my eyes expecting it to hit at me but it didn’t.

” Zoe”Mateo called in shock, I opened my eyes immediately.

Then, I saw Zoe falling in front of me, She took the bullet for me.

” Zoe”I knelt beside her, Her eyes is closing at the moment.

” I did it because of Brea, My mom.., If I didn’t accept to join hands with her, She will ki*ll me, And Gael, My Dad as well, I’m sorry I hurt you, I’m sorry I hurt the person you love, I’m sorry I acted foolish, No one was ready to listen to me, Everyone thought I was evil, I’m sorry I didn this to you, This is the little help I can do, I don’t want you to feel any pains again, I don’t want you to get hurt again through Brea, Treat Magnolia well, She’s a fighter” She whimpered and start coughing out blood.

Brea eyes were bloodshot.

Mateo collected her from me and carried her out of the room.

” My daughter…”She sobbed and I walked up to her.

I grabbed her neck, She didn’t even struggle

She was in shock.

” Zoe ews your daughter, Yet, you kil*led her with your own hands, Haven’t you done enough harm?, You should be ashamed of yourself “I roared at her, She looked shocked, Bereft and bloated.
