Chapter 261 Who Wouldn’t Like Secrets?

Darcy initially thought that Rachel had come for the unidentified queen’s Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

crown.

Rachel picked up a crystal grape and put it into her mouth. There was an innate elegance in her movements and determination in her clear almond–shaped eyes. “It’s a sure thing!” she said.

“Do you like it?” David asked.

Rachel looked sideways at him. “Aren’t you the least curious that an unidentified crown could be listed at a Fujiby auction?” she said. “Besides, why would Fujibi put it on the final stage if it has no value?”

All signs indicated that the crown might contain some undiscovered secret.

No matter what kind of secret it was, it needed someone with a mind to dig it out slowly.

“Then I’ll go and get ready,” Darcy said.

Rachel nodded.

David closed the register in front of him after Darcy left. “You like to dig up the secrets, don’t you?”

“Who doesn’t like secrets?” Rachel’s eyes flashed with a sly light.

David looked up at her.

His deep eyes were filled with love and indulgence that no one had seen before. “I can tell you everything you want to know,” said David.

“I prefer to dig slowly on my own.”

As Rachel spoke, she held her chin with one hand and looked at the display

screen in front of her.

At this point, the screen happened to have a panoramic view of the inside of

the hall.

The men were in suits and ties. The women were dressed in gorgeous clothes. Among them, there was no lack of political and business celebrities in Seaxas. It was like a grand banquet for the wealthy.

There was actually a hint of extravagance in the magnificent hall.

However, Rachel noticed a few familiar figures in the crowd.

They were Olivia and Louis.

And Jane was behind them.

Since the Smith family turned the tables, Louis had become a nouveau riche in Seaxas, a young and promising figure in the eyes of outsiders. For a time, he had become a candidate for many daughters of wealthy families.

However, the scandals caused by the Smith Group’s anniversary celebration and the Cruise family’s daughter, Olivia, were still despised by many people.

Especially when everyone saw Olivia, who appeared with Louis, they sized her up from head to toe.

Olivia was wearing a champagne–colored tube top fishtail dress today. Her curly, algae–like hair fell naturally over her shoulders, and the lines of her collarbones were faintly discernible.

The dress wrapped around her graceful figure, accentuating her curves.

Instantly, she attracted the attention of countless men present.

She lowered her eyelids to hide the emotion in her eyes.

She enjoyed the feeling of being the center of attention. After all, she had come to impress everyone this time.

“Olivia, the place is so beautiful!” Jane looked up at the exaggerated, gorgeous relief sculpture and the large crystal chandeliers above her head.

If Olivia had not brought her here, she would never have been able to come to such a place in her life.

She had long investigated the Fujiby auction in private. Those who were qualified to participate were either rich or noble.

Jane’s eyes sparkled with excitement and anticipation. She swept her gaze across every young man present and fantasized about she would meet her Prince Charming tonight.

To set off the theme of the Renaissance, numerous golden decorations and flowers were used at the site. The exaggerated decorations highlighted the aristocratic aura.

It was as if they were at an aristocratic banquet of the European royal family in the last century.

Jane said, “I didn’t expect an auction to make such a big scene!”

In fact, Olivia had never participated in an auction before. However, she was smarter than Jane and knew how to restrain her inner shock and

was

inexperienced pettiness.
