hearing Jerome’s question, Mikayla met his eyes in the rearview mirror.
Can’t Teat with him?”
Hearing this, Jerome’s face became a little colder. “You know that I don’t get along with him. Did you deliberately approach him to provoke me?”
She laughed. “Are you provoked?”
“Stop dreaming. You can do whatever you want. But if he makes you suffer, I won’t sympathize with you!”
Mikayla sneered. “It’s none of your business. You should worry more about yourself and your true
love.
After saying that, she averted her gaze and refused to speak with him again.
Jerome looked gloomy and said nothing.
Beck at Dragoncrest Villa, Mikayla went upstairs first and found a quilt from the cabinet.
There were only about ten days left. Mikayla had decided not to move any more stuff.
Jerome could sleep here if he wanted to. She would just sleep in the guest room.
As soon as she reached the door of the room, he stopped her.
“Where are you going?”
“The guest room.”
“What made you unhappy this time?”
Mikayla glanced at Jerome. “I don’t have time to act like a normal couple with you. Go away.”
“It’s okay if you don’t want to act.” As he spoke, Jerome showed her Wanda’s phone number. “But you should explain to Grandma first that I’m not forcing you to sleep in the guest room.”
Mikayla was speechless. How would she explain this to Wanda?
Stephen and Matilda had just gone to trouble Wanda. She didn’t want to anger Wanda with this
issue.
Mikayla reminded herself several times that she just had to endure this for a few more days. Then,
she turned around and threw the quilt onto the bed.
She said, “I’m not sharing a quilt with you. Use your own.”
After washing up, she wrapped herself in the quilt and lay down on the edge of the bad.
This was the first time that she had to lie on a big bed with Jerome while she was still awake, felt a little uncomfortable.
Fortunately, he didn’t return to the room immediately as he was busy in the study. Mikayla stayed alert until she fell asleep.
When she woke up the next day, she found herself still under her quilt. However, she was now sleeping in the middle of the bed.
Maybe it was her imagination, but there seemed to be a hint of Jerome’s scent on her quilt. She
sniffed it and felt that the smell was a little faint.
Looking at the indentations on his pillow and the folded quilt next to her, she thought that he had probably touched her unintentionally..
She felt relieved that he had only returned to the room after she had fallen asleep. That way, she
could avoid any embarrassment before going to bed.
After going downstairs, Mikayla learned from Amy that Jerome had gone on a business trip and
wouldn’t return for two days.
She was somewhat happy because she didn’t have to see him for another two days.
Celeste should have already returned to the country, so Mikayla called her to invite her for a meal
However, Celeste told Mikayla that she couldn’t meet with her because she had to tidy up the
house and accompany her in–laws.
