Jean looked at Zed angrily and said,"Am I hearing it correctly or am I somehow misunderstanding it?"

"You aren't misinterpreting it at all," Zed said as he knew what was Jean thinking. He stared at her

without any expressions for a while and continued slowly,"I said it without any doubt."

Zed then turned around and walked towards his office.

Jean was left all alone. She clenched her fist and glared at him.

two have slept together? Why don't you set us free by telling your relationship, with Zed, to Grandpa

Benjamin?"

"Jean!" Jesse said with a surprise. Her voice shaking, she said,"How could you say that about Zed and

me? We were drunk that night, and that's it! I was trying to explain it to you but.."

"We have met a few times since that day, but you didn't explain anything," Jean quipped.

"I have been through a lot these couple of days. Things were pretty messy. I never thought you would

misunderstand something like this," Jesse said with a face full of astonishment.

"Jesse Tong, please quit your act," Jean said as she was sick of Jesse's drama and her attitude

showed that she was impatient. She said,"If you were trying to stop me from doing anything, then I

would suggest you hold your breath. I will not listen to every word he says. I will not compromise now."

"You have no choice but to listen to Zed," Jesse interrupted Jean with a grim face. "The rumours about

how impressive Benjamin is are all true, but he is getting weak day by day. He is the most precious

person to Zed and Zed will never let anything harm him.

Everything was different until Benjamin did not know about you but now when he does, Zed cannot let

him know that there is something wrong between you two. So, don't waste your time on Zed. He would

never listen to you. Jean, If you really care about Zed and this family, you should cooperate and do as

Jean was shocked to hear what she said. Her face turned grim and she said,"Since Benjamin's health

is at stake, why didn't Zed stop him coming here? The Qi Group is already in a tough situation. It would

not take much longer for Benjamin to find out."

"This was all your boss's fault. God knows why he suddenly went to the Imperial Capital and invited

Benjamin to come here." At this, Jesse's face flushed with anger and she replied.

"My boss?" Jean raised her eyebrows with surprise and said,"I have heard this from John. He said that

my boss invited Benjamin. Benjamin has been living a secluded life. I doubt whether he would accept

my boss's invitation."

Jesse gave Jean a speechless look and sighed. "It is not your place to know much about the relations

between Sonny and Qi Family. It is for sure that Sonny was the one who brought us into this situation.

If we didn't know him in the first place, then Zed and I would have seriously thought he was trying to

harm Zed."

conclude that both have nothing to do with me, couldn't we?

The anger was hidden in Jesse's eyes. She wished to tear Jean apart, as Jean was the one to be

blamed for all this.

"Isn't this exactly what you wanted me to act like?" Jean replied and tried to calm down. "If Zed and I

are still in love, shouldn't you worry?" Jean sneered and continued.

"What are you talking about? You make it sound like I was the one who led you into those troubles,"

Jesse looked at Jean ferociously and said,"Jean Wen, even your friends proved it. We don't buy it at

all. Maranda Qin was in trouble too, all because of you."

"You were the one who led them all out to organize a press conference. So what? Do you love taking

pleasure in their sufferings now?"
