Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Nelly stared defiantly into the eyes of Alpha Kilian, her determination unwavering. Without flinching, she shook her head and retorted, “No, I have nothing more to say to you.”

The Alpha’s lips curled into a derisive smile as he chuckled, a slyness glinting in his eyes. “Ah, Nelly, I never knew you had such talent for deception. Quite the actress, aren’t you?”

Nelly’s response was laced with playful sarcasm. “Well, I’m thrilled to discover a hidden talent. Perhaps I have a backup career choice now.”

Alpha Kilian’s patience wore thin as he decided to play the role of the villain. His expression hardened, and with a stern voice, he declared, “Nelly, you know exactly what I’m talking about. You know what I want. Enough with the act, give me the answer!”

“What answer?” Nelly replied nonchalantly, maintaining her innocent facade.

Fury burned in Alpha Kilian’s gaze as he glared at her. “Nelly, is Donna, and the other child-”

Cutting him off, Nelly interrupted, “Alpha Kilian, I am a patient right now. Can’t you cut me some slack? Can’t we discuss this later, once I’ve been discharged?”

Taken aback by her interruption, Alpha Kilian snapped, “Patient? You certainly don’t act like one. Forgive me if I overlooked that detail.”

Without a word, Nelly raised her hand, revealing her injuries. While there was no denying she was hurt, Alpha Kilian’s frustration surpassed his concern. He needed an immediate answer.

“Just one question. Just answer me one question, Nelly. Are they my children?” His pleading eyes searched for the truth.

With unwavering resolve, Nelly replied firmly, “No.”

Alpha Kilian could not accept her answer. “Impossible! They are undoubtedly my children!” He dismissed her response.

Taking a deep breath, Nelly met his stubbornness head-on. “I answered your question, but you refuse to accept the truth. Why bother asking me in the first place?”

Her gaze remained steady, unyielding, while Alpha Kilian refused to accept her words.

“I demand the truth!” he enunciated, his voice filled with frustration.

Raising an eyebrow, Nelly challenged him. “So, only ‘yes’ will be considered the truth?”

Alpha Kilian stared at her in speechless rage.

“If you don’t believe me, then go for a paternity test!” she suggested. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

In response, Alpha Kilian narrowed his eyes and retorted, “Do you think I won’t?”

A small smile played on Nelly’s lips as she toyed with his mind. His clenched fists and hissed words revealed his determination. “Fine, we’ll get a paternity test. If Donna is truly my daughter, I… I will not let this matter slide, Nelly!”

With a wry smile, Nelly countered, “You said the same thing when I told you I didn’t keep the babies. And now, when you believe they are yours, you threaten me in the same manner. No matter what I do, you will never let me off, will you? I’m trapped in a no-win situation, so what more can I say?” She stared at him, feigning indignation.

She painted herself as the victim, even as she played mind games and frustrated him.

Alpha Kilian’s eyes burned with rage, but Nelly fearlessly met his gaze, undeterred.

Tension hung in the air until police officers entered the room. “Is Ms. Nelly Jackson present?”

Alpha Kilian stepped back from the hostile confrontation and nodded at the officers stationed at the door. “Yes.”

“We have some questions regarding the accident last night,” one of the officers stated.

Suppressing her anger, Nelly nodded at the officers. “Alright.”

Approaching her, they asked, “Can you recount what happened last night?”

Seated on the bed, Nelly began recalling the events leading up to the accident. “I’m not entirely sure what happened, but as I was driving, I realized my brakes were faulty. Unable to stop the car, I ran multiple red lights within the Moonwalk pack. Realizing the severity of the situation, I decided to drive to the suburbs, hoping for a safe place to stop. Unfortunately, a large truck appeared, and we collided.”

The police officers diligently took notes as she spoke. After she finished recounting, one of them explained, “According to the traffic police’s investigation, your car’s brakes were tampered with, causing the accident. Do you have any idea who might have done this to you?”

Nelly frowned and shook her head. “No, I have no idea.”

“We’ve opened a case for this incident. It appears to be more than just a mischievous prank; we’re treating it as attempted murder. If you have any useful information or evidence, please let us know, Ms. Jackson,” the officer informed her.

Unfazed by the revelation, Nelly simply nodded. She had suspected as much when she struggled to control her car the previous night.

“Have you had any recent conflicts or disputes?” the officer asked.

Alpha Kilian looked away angrily when Nelly lifted her head and glanced in his direction.

“He is my ex-husband,” she honestly replied.

“I was the one who saved her yesterday,” Alpha Kilian added.

The police officers acknowledged his statement but chose not to involve themselves in their marital dispute. Turning back to Nelly, one of them inquired, “Ms. Jackson, please try to recall if you missed any potential clues. Sometimes, the smallest details can be the key to solving a case.”

Lost in thought, Nelly pondered for a moment before responding, “I honestly can’t remember offending anyone recently. But I did have a feeling I was being followed.”

Alpha Kilian furrowed his brow at her statement, concern flickering in his eyes.

“Do you recall the exact time and place?” the officer pressed.

Nelly provided the officers with all the information she could remember.

After half an hour, the officers stood up, preparing to leave. “That will be all for today, Ms. Jackson. If you remember any other useful information, please contact us.”

“Thank you,” she replied.

“It’s our duty,” they replied in unison.

Alpha Kilian escorted the officers out, leaving the room briefly. As the door closed behind them, Nelly turned her thoughts to the events of the past few days, desperately searching for any clue about the accident.

A few minutes later, Alpha Kilian returned to the ward and approached Nelly. “Why didn’t you tell me you were being followed?”

Incredulous laughter escaped Nelly’s lips. “Wouldn’t it be strange if I shared every detail with you?”

Unable to refute her, Alpha Kilian knew it was not the time for petty arguments. He advised her, his voice serious, “Nelly, I’m taking this seriously. It’s not a joke. Your life is in danger, and someone wants you dead!”

Nelly met his gaze calmly and nodded. “I know,” she replied, exhibiting no fear or worry.

“I’ll look into this matter and keep you safe. Just be cautious and watchful!” he urged.

Nelly responded, “You don’t have to do this for me, Alpha Kilian. I-”

Cutting her off, he interjected, “I know what you’re about to say. Just see it as me doing this for Donna, not for you. I don’t want her to worry or be sad.”

Reflecting on his words, Nelly realized that, despite his shortcomings as a husband, perhaps he could be a good father. She knew that if she faced any problems, he would be there for the children.

That thought brought some reassurance. Nodding, she replied, “Okay. I understand.”
