Tony quickly wiped the spot where she had kissed him before responding with a defiant frown. “Why would I let anyone else kiss me?”

Thalia’s laughter poured out uncontrollably. “Oh my, look at how embarrassed you are. You are adorable. Who could resist kissing you?”

“Enough!” Tony warned her.

Unfortunately, the more he resisted, the more thrilled she became. She reached out to tousle his hair. “Oh my, even when you are angry, you are still as cute as ever. You are like a fiery little lion cub. I adore you!”

It seemed that only actions could silence this woman!

Tony wasn’t skilled with words, but he excelled in actions.

Without uttering another word, he turned on his laptop, a serious expression on his face, and began typing rapidly.

After laughing for quite some time, Thalia leaned over to see what he was doing. “What are you up to?”

On his screen, she could see images of herself appearing rapidly.

Thalia pressed her hand on his laptop, staring at him in disbelief.

“Are you out of your mind?” she demanded.

With her hand firmly pressing down on the laptop, Thalia maintained her unwavering gaze.

Tony met her stare, both of them locking eyes in a tense silence.

As time ticked by, Thalia knew all too well that although Tony posed little threat to her, the danger he might bring couldn’t be underestimated.

Drawing her dagger, she held it to Tony’s throat, her expression grave. “Believe it or not, I will end your life right now!”

Tony looked down at the dagger in her hand. Just as he expected, Thalia was a professional who could snuff out his life with ease.

However, Tony remained unfazed by the dire situation. In fact, he rolled his eyes at her. “Come on. Go ahead and do it!”

“Well? What are you waiting for?” Tony taunted.

Thalia realized she had no hold over him, for he could not be threatened or frightened into submission.

She continued to stare at him, her previous smugness replaced with a pitiful pout. “Hmm…” she sighed, like a deflated balloon. “I apologize.”

“What did you say?” Tony pretended as if he hadn’t heard her.

“I apologize,” Thalia whispered again. Tony was the first person she had ever apologized to in her life.

“Are you going to mock me again?” Tony inquired.

Thalia shook her head.

Only then did Tony stop, knowing when not to push further. After all, Thalia was not someone to be taken lightly. While he may be able to momentarily assert his dominance, he could never predict the aftermath.

“Mommy says good children know when they are wrong. Fear not, I shall forgive you,” Tony assured her.
