Divorcing 426
Chapter 426 Date
At the amusement park, Chloe was wearing a pair of loose and wide-legged jeans and a simple and comfortable T-shirt.
She kept looking over to the direction where people were coming and going.
Candy said she had told William to meet in front of the KFC at the amusement park.
Chloe had been waiting here for ten minutes and hadn't found William.
Chloe: [Are you sure the location and time you sent me are correct?]
Candy quickly replied: [Absolutely right. I deleted the chat logs, but I didn't get it wrong. Maybe he's stuck in traffic, so just wait for a while. Wesley is calling me, and I need to delete the chat logs!] Chloe thought it was her misfortune to know Candy in a way.
She felt it was better to be proactive rather than wait for the right moment.
Chloe turned around and headed into the KFC.
She ordered a set meal, asked the waiter for a paper and pen, and scribbled before placing it against the glass.
Looking at it from the outside, the paper had a few big words written on it.
"William, come here now!"
Many people looked at Chloe with a weird look when they saw the note outside.
Chloe didn't care and kept eating her fries until a gentle voice came from behind her. "Ms. Nelson?"
She turned back. "Mr. Clark, you remember me?"
Chloe didn't think someone like William, who had to memorize hundreds of food names every day, would remember hers.
"Please take a seat!"
Chloe picked her bag up and made space for him.
"Ms. Parker..."
"Oh, Candy had something to do temporarily, so she asked me to come and apologize to you.
"And, Mr. Clark, she has found a suitable boyfriend, so she can't continue dating you. I'm really sorry for the delay."
Chloe had thought that William would be angry about this.
The next second, William said, "Ms. Nelson, you don't have to apologize. I was just trying to make friends with Ms. Parker and you from the beginning."
Chloe was stunned. "What? You didn't want to get into a relationship with Candy, did you?"All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
She blurted it out without a second thought.
By the time she reacted, she had finished speaking.
William smiled softly, "I have no plans to fall in love or get married for now."
Hearing this, Chloe was instantly relieved.
Chloe was afraid that William had truly fallen for Candy under her flirtation.
But now it didn't seem so complicated, and William didn't have that kind of feelings for Candy.
"Mr. Clark, of course it would be best if you could understand that. Candy has bothered you for so long, and as her friend, I will apologize to you. We will still be friends later." William nodded slightly, not denying Chloe's words.
"I should leave now, alright?"
Chloe pointed outside with her finger.
Although Chloe had apologized, she still felt embarrassed.
"Ms. Nelson, since you're already here, if you're available, can you sketch with me? Just as a compensation for me, okay?"
Chloe was slightly stunned.
She thought, "William was saying it was fine a second ago.
Now he's asking me for compensation.
Forget it. I'm only here for Candy, and I was supposed to apologize."
"Sure!"
Chloe finished her fries and followed William into the amusement park.
Chloe hadn't been to an amusement park since she grew up.
She couldn't get any interest at all in the entertainment that surrounded her, which she had been so curious about and enjoyed when she was a little girl. Perhaps she had truly grown up.
"Ms. Nelson, can you stand over there?"
William pointed to a flower bush not far away, and Chloe nodded and headed inside.
She had always thought that what William and Candy had said about coming out sketching together was just an excuse.
In fact, the two just wanted a date.
Unexpectedly, William had truly brought his sketching tools with him.
But he had just put them at his feet while at KFC, so Chloe hadn't noticed.
"Mr. Clark, would you like a watercolor paint?"
She had felt amazed that the top chef had a hobby like painting watercolors.
