Michael froze slightly. "Because of that billboard you had with him?"
Chloe was a little surprised and thought, "He actually saw that billboard already?
Why hasn't he picked a fight with me?"
Michael did see it. After all, there were large shopping malls all the way around, and the screens outside were so big that it was hard for him not to see them.
But his first thought when he saw the billboard was actually that Chloe was pretty and had a very photogenic face.
Besides that, he felt that James was too close to her and that James must have done it on purpose!
He didn't think Chloe was at fault in the slightest.
Even he himself was a bit shocked.
"The entertainment industry is not as innocent as you think. I advise you to stay out of it."
The Shawn family was not involved in the entertainment industry, but Michael was usually exposed to it.
He didn't want Chloe to go into that kind of work. The entertainment industry was complicated, and she didn't need to be in it.
Chloe hadn't actually thought about it herself. But hearing him say that made her want to resist.
"It's my own business."
Michael sometimes thought Chloe had a sharp tongue. He thought, "Why did she obey me for the previous three years and never show her sharp claws?"
They walked out of Bright Moon International. But Chloe wasn't going to get in the car with him.
"If you give Lucy my mom's medication, I'm not going to take it lying down. You'd better give up that last offer you made."
Michael was stunned to hear her mention it again.
He was forced to take out some of it first to save the situation.
But after what happened with Lucy and Wendy over the last few days, he didn't want to use Wendy's medication again.
"I know. Wendy's medicine won't be missing."
Chloe was a little startled. She wondered if it was her illusion that she felt he was extraordinarily nice today.
"What are you going to do next? Go home?"
Chloe was going to say that she was going to find Candy and Jessica. But before she could say anything, her cell phone rang. She took it out, and it was James.
Michael also glanced at the caller ID on her cell phone, and his expression became serious again.
But James was Chloe's boss, and Michael could only watch as Chloe pressed the answer button.
"Come back. Bright Moon International's system is hacked."
His short comment put Chloe immediately into work mode.
She hung up and simply said to Michael, "I have some work. Go back first!"
Chloe then quickly re-entered Bright Moon International.
Michael looked at her serious demeanor, contrasting it with the gentle way she had been at home for the previous three years.
He had never known before that there was such a side to her.
The seriousness with which she did her work was in no way inferior to Lucy's.
Chloe saw a row of people sitting at their desks as soon as she got up there. "Did you find out who the other guy was?"
Her colleagues answered her question with silence.
If they didn't say anything, they didn't know.
She tapped on the keyboard and immediately accessed the system, and a string of code surfaced on the computer.
"The company has authority. Give me the password."
James didn't hesitate to type on the numeric keypad.
Logging into the system, Chloe immediately realized that the other party had placed a virus in their system.
And it was aggressive.
Once the virus was successfully implanted, the entire Bright Moon International system was paralyzed.
All the colleagues around her were nervous, but Chloe looked calm. She killed that virus in an instant, reinforcing the protection fence of the company's system in the process.
Watching the computer return to normal, James stood behind Chloe with his hands in his pockets and some mixed emotions in his eyes.
Chloe stood up and didn't even glance around at her colleagues, instead looking straight at James. "Come with me. I have something to tell you."
James said as he walked away, "All of you don't have to come back to the office starting tomorrow."
Everyone in the security department froze, sitting in front of their computers, somewhat overwhelmed. Entering the office, Chloe said, "There's a mole in your company."
