Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Ate's POV
"Kyle, oh..please please mark me!"
"Bro Kyle, I absolutely love your ass...oh"
I felt a sharp pain in my heart and body, my hand gripping the doorknob tightly, still unable to believe what I had seen.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Moans from men and a woman came through the bedroom.
On my boyfriend's bed, three naked bodies were intertwined-two men and one woman.
I had always been proud of my boyfriend, Kyle.
Kyle was a prominent figure at the school, he was the Alpha's son from the Crystal Pack. His mother, Luna Fiona, was the president of the university.
We were always an enviable couple at the werewolf university. I had always felt lucky that the Moon Goddess led me to find my mate at the university and paired me with Kyle.
Kyle was always gentle with me and took care of me in every little detail of life. But what I never expected was to see this seemingly gentle and outstanding man kneeling between a man and a woman like the filling of a sandwich.
At that moment, they were still engrossed in their threesome, unaware of my presence. The muscular man behind Kyle gave his ass a hard slap. The crisp, loud sound mixed with their panting and moaning made me feel like throwing up.
"Hey Ate, are you okay?" Roxanne rushed in, and as she reached the doorway and saw the scene before her, she also covered her mouth in shock.
My vision blurred. My eyes flooded with tears.
The people inside snapped out of their daze at Roxanne's voice, finally noticing my presence.
It was then that I clearly saw the other two people besides my boyfriend. I didn't recognize the man, but I knew the woman beneath Kyle-it was Lena, my best friend besides Roxanne.
Lena saw me standing in the doorway. She screamed and wrapped herself in the quilt.
Kyle jumped off the bed. Lust faded from his eyes and he panicked.
"Ate, hear me out..."
I didn't want to hear his explanation. "I will reject you, Kyle!"
Kyle shouted, "No!"
I wiped my tears and took a few steps back. Then, I turned around and rushed out of Kyle's dorm.
This place was so filthy that every second standing here made me nauseous.
Roxanne followed closely behind me, struggling to find the right words to comfort me.
"Roxanne, thank you. Don't worry, I'm fine."
Earlier today, I met Roxanne in the study room. She was surprised to see me and told me she had seen Kyle bringing a girl back to the apartment. She thought it was me. I was about to laugh and tell her she must have been mistaken, but I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my
heart that quickly spread through my
body.
I knew exactly what it meant-my mate was either dead or had betrayed me. Though the first possibility was slim, I still refused to believe the second. Now, my eyes had confirmed the harsh truth.
Kyle never knew I had found my wolf because I am a hybrid and my wolf was so weak that he couldn't sense her scent. But this didn't affect my werewolf senses, and Kyle's betrayal brought me unbearable pain.
"Hey sweetheart, cheer up. Why don't we go to the bar and forget everything? I have their VIP card." Normally, I might have hesitated, but not now. I chose to follow Roxanne to the bar without a second thought.
When we reached the bar's entrance, Roxanne received a call from her professor. She had to go back to handle something urgent. I nodded to indicate I could go in by myself.
Roxanne rummaged through her bag, hastily handed me a card, gave me a few quick words of advice, and then took a cab back.
I took a deep breath, smoothed out imaginary wrinkles on my clothes, and walked toward the bar entrance.
The bouncer at the bar entrance looked me up and down with contempt. Crossing his arms, he said coldly, "Ma'am, this is a members-only bar. Without a VIP card, you're not allowed inside."
As he finished speaking, he began to push me toward the door, as if I were trash to be discarded. Already hurt from Kyle's betrayal earlier today, his words ignited my anger once more.
I quickly broke free from his grip and shouted, "Who says I don't have a card? Open your eyes and look at this!"
I took out the VIP card Roxanne had given me and threw it at him. I waited for him to see the card and apologize, but the expected apology never came. Instead, the bouncer burst into thunderous laughter.
"Miss, this is not a bus stop. If you want to take the bus, go out the door and walk three kilometers to the left."
It was only then that I realized Roxanne had given me not a VIP card, but a regular bus card. She must have grabbed the wrong card in her haste. "Now, leave!" The bouncer's face twisted with a menacing look, as if he was about to throw me out the next second.
"This is illegal! How can you
discriminate against customers like this?" I was about to argue when the
surrounding noise suddenly died down noticed the bouncer's previously fierce expression had turned submissive, his fearful and cautious gaze directed behind me.
I turned around to see a tall, handsome figure who had somehow appeared behind me, surrounded by a group of bodyguards. He was about to enter the bar but paused when he reached me.
"She's with me," his deep, maic voice resonated. The bouncer only nodded respectfully, and then the man, still flanked by bodyguards, walked into the bar.
I could only see his back and didn't get a clear look at his face.
As soon as he left, the murmuring at the entrance grew louder. I could barely make out a name whispered with fear and reverence.
Connor Norman the Alpha of Blood Moon Pack, the largest pack in Akron.
