Chapter 258 Daniel Looked Charming
Chapter 258 Daniel Looked Charming
Janet rolled her eyes and took the luxurious wine-red suit. She then quickly ran down the stairs.
Looking at Janet sprint down the stairs, Daniel smiled. 'This is what Janet is really like.' Daniel thought.
But when he saw the wine red coat in her arms, his eyes darkened.
Before Janet opened her mouth, Daniel told her, "No, not this one. Get another suit!"
"But why? I think it looks good on you." Janet lifted the hanger and displayed how the wine-red coat
looked on her.
Daniel replied in a low and displeased voice, "The style is too old for me."
In fact, this coat was a gift from Sabina many years ago. As he often went to No. 9 mansion, he seldom
had the time to sort out the clothes he barely wore.
Janet didn't know the reason behind his resistance. She thought that he was reluctant to try clothes
with the non-neutral colors. She walked toward him and persuaded, "Don't worry. You are handsome.
You will still look charming and fashionable with it even if it looks out of style."
Daniel looked at Janet's smiling face, he nervously rubbed his hands on the sofa and insisted, "Just get
another one. Throw it away. You can buy a new coat for me in the same color when you have time."
Sometimes, Janet felt that she really couldn't understand him. He already had one. Why would he want
to throw it away and buy a new coat?
"Put it on!" Janet said firmly, pushing him to put the coat on.
Daniel hesitated on whether he should tell Janet where he got the coat from. But before he answered,
Janet already pulled him up from the sofa.
It was difficult for Daniel to refuse her, so he followed her and put the coat on.
At the same time, he was thinking how he would get rid of the coat tonight.
It was such an advantage to Daniel for being so handsome. Daniel looked charming even in such a
vivid color!
He looked years younger in this coat than those in black or blue.
After they left the mansion, Daniel drove the car and took Janet to her family's old house.
When they arrived at the old house, they were still quarreling in the car. The atmosphere was tense.
"Janet, why don't you take me with you. Do I embarrass you?" Daniel looked at Janet who didn't allow
him to follow her into the house.
Janet shook her head and said, "Of course not. It's because it's a little difficult to explain our
relationship to my family now, since we are not married. I don't want to you to meet them like this!"
"But your great-grandmother has met me before." On the contrary, her great-grandmother was quite
into him.
"That's your business. You can pay her a visit another day. But now, you stay put and don't follow me."
She feared that her great-grandmother would be angry if she saw that their relationship was still in a
deadlock. They already had children together!
Daniel lifted his hand and looked at his watch. He caved in and said, "Okay, I will give you five
minutes."
Janet immediately opened the door and got off the car after she heard Daniel's words. She opened the
trunk of the car and took out the gifts she brought for her great-grandmother.
Then, she hurriedly ran into the old house.
Melissa was looking at the earthworms with her great-grandmother in the back yard. When she heard
that Janet was coming, she happily ran into the house.
Melody was on the second floor of the old house. She incidentally noticed a Rolls-Royce Phantom
outside the house. She immediately recognized Daniel on the driver seat.
She frowned and thought doubtfully, 'What was he doing? He is usually nice. But why won't he even
enter the house today?
Is he going to escape from his responsibility with Jane and the twins?'
But she was wrong about Daniel...
"Mommy!" Melissa ran into Janet's arms in excitement. Janet put down the gifts on the table and held
her daughter.
"My sweetheart, I miss you so much!" Janet held Melissa in her arms and couldn't help kissing her
cheeks.
Viola came over and asked, "Jane, when did you arrive? Did you have fun out there?"
"Grandma, I went back last night. I had a good time. Where is everyone?"
"Your grandfather and your parents have gone to visit their friends. Your great-grandmother is upstairs.
Do you want to see her?" Viola caressed her hair with much love and gentleness.
Janet nodded and put Melissa down. She told Melissa, "Melissa, wait for me here. I will go see my
great-grandmother upstairs."
Melissa nodded and went to Viola, "Great-grandma, let's play outside."
On the second floor, Janet knocked on the door of Melody's room. "Come in!"
Melody replied in a loving voice. Janet gently pushed the door open.
Melody was standing by the window, watching the scenery outside. She saw Janet come in and waved
at her, "Come here, Jane."
Jane walked quickly to Melody and acted like a spoiled child in her arms, "Great grandma, I've missed
you so much!"
At the sight of Melody, Janet felt guilty. She seldom spent time with her since she came back.
Melody laughed, gently patted her back, and said, "I heard from your parents that you have traveled
lately?"
"Yes. I also brought you some gifts. But I forgot to bring them up. I put them on the table downstairs."
Janet placed her palm on her head and regretted, 'Oh, I have such a bad memory!'
"It doesn't matter. I will have a look when I go to downstairs later." Melody examined Janet closely.
She still looked good with rosy cheeks. She also seemed more mature now than three years ago.
"Okay, great-grandma. How have you been?" Janet led Melody who was holding a walking stick to the
chairs and helped her sit down.
"I'm pretty good. I have a good appetite, and I sleep well. Don't worry about me." Although Melody was
over 100 years old, she was quite healthy due to a good mentality and regular exercises.
Janet nodded and snuggled up next to Melody, "Great grandma, after I finish my affairs these days, I
will come over to accompany you and my grandparents."
She made up her mind to spend more time in the old house to accompany them.
"It doesn't matter. You young people should mind your own business. You don't have to come over too
frequently. Jane, what I worry most now is about your marriage, you and Daniel..." Melody held her
hands and said with concern.
But before Melody finished her words, Janet suddenly remembered that Daniel was still waiting outside
and that he had only given her five minutes.
It had already been more than five minutes. Janet said hurriedly, "Great grandma, I have some errands
to do now. If I have time tonight, I will come accompany you. I need to go now!"
Melody sighed in her heart. 'What a naive girl!' Then, she said, "Okay, take care! Talk to me if there is
something on your mind."
"Okay, I will go now." Janet hugged Melody and walked out of the room.
Downstairs, Viola was playing with Melissa on the sofa. When she watched Janet hurriedly walk down,
she asked, "Jane, why are you in such a hurry?"
Jane smiled and replied, "I have an appointment. I must go now."
Melissa was still crawling on the sofa. Janet held Melissa in her arms and stood in front of Viola.
"How will you go there? Are you bringing Melissa with you?"
Janet scratched her head and said in a low voice, "Umm... Her father is waiting outside."
Viola then asked, "Why didn't he come in?"
"Oh, he is very busy, so I let him wait outside. I will bring Melissa with me." While she was saying this,
she walked towards the entrance of the living room. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
