Chapter 342 I Told You More Than Once
Chapter 342 I Told You More Than Once
"Father, what are you talking about? I don't understand." Amy pretended to not know anything, but
inside, she was panicking.
"When will you stop playing dumb with me?"
Bob came up to her angrily and slapped on her face.
Amy covered her face with her hand, staring at her father in shock. He didn't used to slap her. But this
year, he slapped her more than once.
What was wrong with this year?
What's more, she had no idea why he slapped her. And, there were people watching.
"Father, why did you slap me again? What's the matter with you? Why did you slap me without a
reason?"
Tears rolled down from her eyes. Every little girl would sob when faced with a father who acted like this.
Just now, Bob was too angry to see Derek on the side. Now that he saw him, he became even more
angry. "Who's this guy?"
Amy was flustered. But fortunately Bob didn't know he was Linda's uncle, so she cooked up an identity
for him. "He is one of my friends."
Bob knew her well. How could she become friends with a guy like this? He saw through her lie at once,
but he didn't care about it now. He had something more important to deal with. He coldly told Derek,
"Excuse me, sir, I have something to say to my daughter. Would you mind leaving us alone?"
Upon hearing that, Derek wondered whether they were putting on a show in front of him. Was it
because they don't want to give him the money? He immediately yelled out, "Hey! Stop your play! Don't
take me for a fool. Where is my money? I won't leave until you give it to me."
"What money?" Bob was confused.
"Please leave! I will give you the money next time."
Amy saw that things were going wrong. She hurriedly asked Derek to leave. If Bob found out the truth,
it would be harder to wind this matter up.
"No way. I said I wouldn't leave until I get the money. Lady Amy, you asked for information about Linda,
and I gave you that. Now, it's time for you to pay up. Don't try to fool me with that show. Don't you think
about getting rid off me."
His words reminded Bob that he was the one who made a scene at Linda's engagement party. Wasn't
he Linda's uncle? Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Bob soon understood that Amy must have done something bad with him. "Oh, I remember you. You
bastard, how dare you stay here? If you don't leave, I'll call Young Master Mu to take you away. What
do you think?"
Derek almost wet himself when he heard the name.
He gritted his teeth and shouted, "Fine! I'm leaving, but I promise I'll get my money!" Then, he dashed
out of the room immediately, Leaving Bob and Amy inside.
Bob's health hadn't been doing well these days. His heart made him suffer a lot lately.
After talking to Amy just now, he felt a dull pain in his heart and even had trouble breathing.
He grabbed a chair and sat on it, gasping for breath.
"Father."
Amy called him in a low voice. She had been observing his expressions. What did he know? Why did
he come here today?
Bob was furious.
The Qi's Group had been struggling these years. It had depended on the Mu's Group for survival. Many
companies cooperated with the Qi clan because of the Mu clan's help.
But now that the Mu clan had pulled back their investments, the other companies followed suit.
Within days, the stock price of the Qi's Group would plummet, and the Qi's Group would be up for
acquisition.
At first, Bod hadn't taken it seriously. After all, he and Amy together had 89% of the stocks. It was
impossible for others to acquire the Qi's Group.
But he was shocked to find out that they had lost 76% of their shares. After a thorough investigation, he
realized that it was Amy's fault.
Half of the properties of the Qi's Group had been transferred to others.
Amy must have signed her name on the documents. Otherwise, it wouldn't have happened.
"I gave you 50% of the Group as your 18th birthday gift. Tell me. Is it still yours?" Bob asked angrily.
"Of course..." Amy wanted to argue, but she couldn't help but burst into tears.
"Father, I was swindled. Please trust me."
"Who swindled you?"
"I..."
Amy opened her mouth, but she failed to utter a word.
She had no idea how to explain it.
"Tell me, what did you do to Linda? Amy, I've told you more than once to let Charles go! Charles
doesn't like you at all! Love can't be forced. There are so many other guys in this world. Why can't you
just give him up and find another one?"
He was already well aware of the whole thing because Charles had sent Bob all the evidence he had
this morning.
Bob felt very distressed when he realized that Amy did harm Linda again.
What's worse, she did it in a very cruel way.
Where was his lovely little daughter? How could she have turned out like this?
Bob shook his head in resignation.
Amy's countenance changed a little when she heard Charles' name. "Father, did I make a mistake of
loving him? We met when I was 8 years old, and I've loved him ever since. Why doesn't he love me
back? What did Linda do to deserve him?"
"I don't know about her. All I know is that you should let him go. He is not into you. The best way to love
him is to let him go even if he doesn't love you."
Why couldn't his daughter understand that? Bob quietly gazed at his daughter. She had dark circles
under her eyes. She must have lacked sleep lately. Why did she bother herself with doing these
things?
