A Girl’s Diary

Chapter 6 - I Believe He's A Dumbass!

Chapter 6 - I Believe He's A Dumbass!

I woke up at the sound of my alarm, just five more minutes? Yeah, not happening, we all know it would

be an hour at least. I felt like a zombie getting out of a grave. Can't they like cancel life today.

I sighed and took a shower. The faster I finished this, the better. I got into a hoodie and jeans. I still

couldn't open my eyes, I bet the looked so puffy. Ugh!

When I went downstairs, I smelled it before I saw it. Coffee! The bittersweet aroma filling my nostrils. I

sighed, now I can start the day. My anchor in this messy world. "Thank you!" I said, hugging mom, and

I think a tear rolled down my cheek because she chuckled softly.

"Don't be a drama queen, it's not like I got you something big." She shook her head, grinning in

amusement.

I drunk my coffee and almost moaned at the taste. Something was wrong with mom and dad's vibes

today... either someone was in trouble or I don't know!

"Okay! Someone tell me what is going on." Ian demanded, dropping his fork on the table.

"What? What do you mean?" Mom said, she didn't know this but this high pitch was making her more

obvious!

"Who are you fooling?" I sighed. Wait, did I say that out loud! From the eyes zeroed on me, I'd guess

yes!

"You know honey, you shouldn't talk like this if you want the new car," Dad smirked. Is this really

happening? Someone pinch me!!

"What car?" Loca and Ian burst at the same moment.

"The one outside." Mom shrugged. The three of us ran outside faster than a bullet. Just wow! It was a

perfect, two-seater, matte black, Alpha Romeo 4c. That was seriously my dream car.

"Dad!" I sniffed hugging him.

"No daughter of mine can drive less than this!" He hugged me back. "Plus, Cinnamon deserves this

after that awesome album. You're hitting the top charts." His tone was proud, making me cry.

"Wait! I'm your daughter too!" Loca protested.

"Yes, that's why I got you and Ian a car. It's sitting at the garage." They both ran there.

"That's not half cool as Elena's," Ian protested ten seconds later.

Their syncing was broken these days! One of them was always ten seconds late. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"Why can't we each get a cool car?" Loca said trailing behind Ian.

"Because you two are irresponsible." Dad shrugged and kissed my forehead.

"So, you ready for School?" Mom beamed. I nodded eagerly taking the keys.

On the way to school, I kept filling my head with positive ideas. Maybe today can be different. I would

sleep tonight. There wouldn't be any problems... ooh who am I kidding!

I had lots of school work to catch up with since I transferred in the middle of the semester. I sucked at

my guitar training. I couldn't even stop thinking about the note... could it be them?

I parked my car as far from everyone as I could and headed toward Skyler who was gawking at me.

"Maybe you should close your mouth now," I said as I reached her.

"Holy shit, Elena. That wasn't a dream?"

"You mean the fact you were shit drunk?" Jason came out of nowhere. I chuckled at his comment.

"So wait. Why do you wear hoodies all the time and no one knows about you?" Not you too!

"Subtle much, Sky," Jason commented. We were heading to our first class, History.

"Because I don't like that. Everyone will be a fake friend. Would you like that, Sky?" I tried conveying

my message here.

"I guess not. You know what? It doesn't matter!" Sky said cheerfully, I smiled back at her. We entered

class just before the teacher did.

We were learning about the history of famous landmarks across the world. Out of nowhere, she said

we had to do a project about it and that she'd choose the partners herself. And here I thought I could

be working with Sky!

She kept calling out partners names, when it came to my name, I hated her the most. She paired me

with freaking Louis! Like what!

When I heard the teacher saying I was doing the project with Louis, I didn't feel angry, no. That would

be an understatement to what I was feeling right now. I could feel the blood boil in my veins.

I asked the teacher annoyed "Can't we change partners, I don't wanna end up working with an idiot"

the teacher gave me a look that said too much. I decided to stay calm and talk to her after the lesson.

Then Louis started glaring at me.

"Keep your eyes to yourself, mister."

"What the? Of course, I wasn't looking at you."

"And who said I was talking to you?"

"Okay let's get this through. Look, miss V, We're not doing this project together."

"You know what? I should be the one mad here."

"Why is that nerd?"

"I'll end up doing all the work on my own."

"Well if you don't know it yet, I care about my grades."

"That's exactly why I'll end up doing everything on my own. You're too dumb to work in the project and

get good marks."

Just as I said that the teacher, Miss Vivian who everybody for some reason liked to call her miss V,

screamed at both of us to stop. We. Both froze along with everyone else. She said that we should

behave like adults to be treated like ones. She then said that she'd never change the partners of the

project. All because of that idiot, I was in a bad mood again. Too much for trying to have a one normal

quiet day.

I could see Alice glaring at me when the teacher put me with Louis. C'mon can she not be a cliché for a

minute. If she comes and tells me that's her man, I'm gonna vomit!

"We can deal with this later." Sky said sympathetically. We continued the day without pumping into a

disaster but it was bound to happen sooner than later.

"Okay, you can do this. Take a deep breath." Skyler encouraged me. We were standing in the parking

lot.

"Sky, she's not going to war." Jason chuckled.

"This is much worse than war. Can't I just murder him then I can get a new partner?"

"No, you can't. Now go!"

I pouted but headed to where he was reluctantly. The sooner I do this, the better.

"Look nerd just because we're doing this project together, doesn't mean we can be friends." I couldn't

even get one word out. What the heck dude.

That's the thing I hated most about high schools. Football jocks who every girl loved. Pathetic!

"And who told you I want to be your friend?"

"You don't think you can talk to me whenever you want right?"

"Oh, should I talk now asshole? I wanted to ask when we should start working on the project! I care

about my grades, not like some dumbass."

"Don't you dare talk to me like this."

"I'll talk the way I like." Ha, roasted!

I left like that. Didn't even get to know what we're doing in the damn project. I could just go with my plan

to murder him, so I wouldn't have to do it with him.

Skyler looked at me, knowingly. She ran towards me.

"Well, it was expected." She shrugged trying to stifle a giggle. "Hey, Louis. Come over here." She

shouted so he could hear. Of course, he came. "Can you two talk like adults?" Well, she's not one to

talk about being an adult.

"My house, at 6. Happy now Sky?"

"And how am I supposed to come without your address." I raised a questioning brow.

"You can ask any girl at school, they'd tell you." I was so tempted to slap that smirk off his face.

"You're not that famous lover boy."

"Whatever, I'll text you the address."

"And how are you doing this without my number, smartie."

"Then gimme your number."

"Is Mr Smartie asking the nerd for her phone number, Wow! Who would've thought?" I remarked. Sky

now failing miserably to contain her laughs.

"Skyler you know my address right just tell her."

"Suuuure," Skyler said, trying with all her effort not to laugh.

When Louis left, we both burst out laughing. We couldn't hold it in any longer. We kept imitating that

conversation until our mouths hurt from laughing. Then all of a sudden Skyler said she had a brilliant

idea and that we should head to some secret place right now!

What was she up to?
