Chapter 602 A Cut on the Face
Chapter 602 A Cut on the Face
She trembled all over and screamed out of pain.
No matter how hard she struggled, Leigh still pinched her jaw hard and cut her face from her left brows
to the lower left of her face with a knife.
Leigh still wore an evil smile while staring at the blood streaming down her cheek and shivering body.
Then he questioned softly, “You don’t deserve her face.”
The playboy was rendered stunned. A harsh shiver went down his spine.
Actually, he knew Leigh had been in an affectionate relationship with Jessie. So he found a girl who
shared a similar figure with Jessie. And then he paid for a plastic surgery to shape her face according
to Jessie’s.
He wanted to make her the gift to ingratiate Leigh. However, the result seemed to go far beyond his
expectation.
She kept trembling for a few seconds out of great pain and horror. Then she fainted.
Leigh dropped her on the carpet indifferently. Then he took some tissue to clean up his hands stained
with blood. Then he said casually, “Take her out and put a bullet in her head including that plastic
surgeon. When it’s done, get the hell out of the city!”
The playboy was aware that it was the ultimatum to him. He didn’t even dare to stay for a second
longer. He hurried over to drag the girl out of the box and scrambled away.
Everyone in the box stopped shifted their gaze off from the mess. The atmosphere returned to normal
as if nothing had happened.
Leigh poured himself a glass of wine and sipped casually.
Chace cast a glimpse at him, where there hidden mixed feelings. He knew Leigh would definitely
retaliate against the playboy. But this consequence really stunned him.
“I gotta go for a walk outside.” Chace grabbed a box of cigarette from the table, stood up and walked
out.
He lit up a cigarette outside the box. When he was about to get some food in the restaurant, he raised
up his head but accidentally ran into a pregnant lady.
However, when seeing her face, he hurried to get the cigarette off from his mouth, looking shocked.
“Jessie?” he couldn’t believe what he just saw.
Jessie smiled at him, walked over with her hand supporting her waist and said, “It has been a long
time.”
“It’s you!” though Chace didn’t spend much time with Jessie, he could still recognize her. He looked
down on her belly, “You are still alive! And your baby…”
Ever since Jessie fell into the sea and went missing for long, everyone reckoned she had been dead.
“I was lucky enough to be rescued.” Jessie only replied casually. She didn’t seem to care much about
the life-threatening danger at that time. She tilted her head to look at the box behind him, “Leigh is still
inside?”
Then she walked over to the box.
Chace hurried to stop her as he noticed that. He cleared his voice, “Do you want some food? Let me
take you to the restaurant. Leigh is now busying negotiating about his business.”
As the box was still covered with the strong smell of blood and the fake ‘Jessie’ had been just expelled,
he couldn’t risk the possible consequence once Leigh saw Jessie at this moment.
What was more, Jessie was now pregnant. He deemed it better to stay cautious.
“I have been here by a few minutes past six. But you were here at that time. So I went into my own box
for sleep.” Said Jessie. Then she continued, “Well, but now I am really a bit starving. Let’s go.”
Chace carefully walked beside while staring at her in case she would stumble herself, “Do you need a
hand?” Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
“No, thanks. I am not a princess.”
The lobby manager, who was on his way to deal with some trifles in a private box, happened to brush
past both Jessie and Chace.
“Hello, Mr. Leon.” The lobby manager greeted.
Chace nodded.
As the manager had just passed, he suddenly realized that the pregnant lady was exactly the one who
came for Leigh today. But now he was so confused when seeing her walking with Mr. Leon.
The manager then went into the box to serve the guest. As soon as he came out, a waiter rushed over.
“Manager, here is a file waited to be signed. Would you please go for the boss?”
“Why don’t you do it yourself?”
The waiter scratched his head while murmuring, “I heard that Mr. Lewis has just gone terribly mad just
now. I am afraid he might be still burning with rage. We all know how much the boss trusts you. So…”
The manager took over the file and slightly slapped on his back, “Alright, Iet me do it.”
“Thanks!”
The manager knocked on the door as he reached the box. And then he entered.
He simply ignored the strong smell of blood and walked over to Leigh. He handed the file and a pen,
“Boss, we got two pieces of files for your signature.”
Leigh soon signed it after simply browsing. Then he asked, “Where is Chace?”
“I saw him when I went to serve the guests ten minutes ago.” He hesitated to reply.
“He went to the restaurant with a pregnant lady. He might go for a dinner.”
Leigh frowned, “A pregnant lady? One of his friends?”
“I didn’t ask about it. But she didn’t look like his friend.” The manager glanced at him and continued,
“The pregnant lady has been here at six. She came for you actually. But I can’t figure out for what
reason she just…”
“Did she tell you something about herself? Which company does she work for?”
The manager still kept fresh impression about her as she was the only pregnant lady in the club, “She
was addressed as Jessie Walsh. She didn’t tell which company she works for. She isn’t a tall one but
she looks pretty.”
Leigh actually showed mere attention at the beginning. However, when he heard the manager
mentioned ‘Miss Jessie’, he suddenly jumped up from the couch with his pupils contracting out of
shock. He hurried to rush out of the box.
While the manager was standing still blankly.
Leigh sped up his pace. His chest kept heaving for air as he reached the restaurant.
As it had gone beyond the meal time, there were only a few customers inside.
He scanned around and suddenly noticed Chace, who sat beside a woman. They seemed to be
talking.
Leigh fixed his eyes on her back, which he was so familiar with. He walked over.
Chace was the first to notice Leigh approaching. He knew that it was time for him to dismiss himself.
So he moved the chair and stood up, “Enjoy your meal.”
When Jessie noticed something different, she turned around and happened to see Leigh.
The reunion in the restaurant didn’t seem to rendered her feeling strange. She smiled at her, “Chace
told me that you were busy. Since I was hungry, he took me here for food.”
Leigh looked at her from head to toe. Even he himself had no idea what he was looking for. He finally
relieved when seeing her standing right in front of him, alive. Perhaps from now on, he could regain a
sound sleep at night.
Then he fixed his eyes on her bulging belly for a long time.
As Jessie was still hungry for food, she continued with her meal after greeting.
After a while, Leigh walked to her right, drew a chair out and took a seat.
“You hire another chef?” Jessie asked while having clam soup. Then she continued, “It tastes good.
And so does the dry-fried asparagus.”
She wanted to wrap some barbecue with lettuce. But she noticed her own hands stained with soup. So
she told Leigh, “I want some barbecue but I have my hands stained. Just do it for me.”
As Leigh was about to start, Jessie suddenly grabbed his hands, “You got blood on your hands. Did
you get wounded?”
“No, I am fine. Let me wash my hands first.” He drew back his hands and hurried to walk away.
Leigh went into the restroom. While washing his hands, he was lost in thought. When he returned to
the table, he collected himself and wrapped some barbecue with lettuce to feed her.
Though he had been burning with grievance, planning for a punishment against her when they met
again. However, as soon as he saw her and her baby safe and sound, all the grievance seemed to be
dissipated.
Leigh continued to feed her whichever she pointed to, silent. While Jessie had been talking and asking
how about his business and his mother.
