Chapter 83 Let Me Help You
Chapter 83 Let Me Help You
“A marriage built on a show instead of love. It’s nothing new to me in this age.”
Christine took a cup of vodka and drank it in one gulp.
Claudia lowered her head. Though Christine was speaking in a different language, her words touched
Claudia deeply.
What Ben playacted could be seen through so easily by someone else.
Was he really bad at acting? Or because he never love her at all?
Who knew that.
“Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mean to hurt you. I just feel a little bit weird,” Christine turned around to
look at her gently and curiously with her blue eyes.
She wasn’t demeaning her. She was just caring about her like a friend, like how Kim did to her.
“From your eyes, I can tell that you love Mr. Crawford so much…that you would like to dedicate
yourself for him, right?”
Claudia was stunned and held her breath.
She turned around and took a look at the man who was drinking with other bosses in distance.
Christine smiled and continued, “But from his eyes, I can see he doesn’t love you, not at all…Why?”
“…”
Claudia didn’t reply.
The answer was simple.
Everyone knew that he didn’t love her.
That was ridiculous!
Even a foreigner knew it now! Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“I love to guess what people is thinking. Through his emotion and small movements, I can know a lot
about him, like how is his mood, what he has been going through…” Christine explained. Claudia
noticed it as well. That was the power of psychology.
You could say she had a strong observing ability, or you could also call her a hypnotist, using
stimulation and implication to find someone’s weakness from which she could breach into the mind of
him.
Christine took another glass of vodka and handed it to Claudia, “So I’m not trying to hurt you. On the
contrary, I pretty like you, Claudia.”
Claudia took the cup out of courtesy. She knew she shouldn’t drink it since her stomach was in pain,
but in this mood, she really wanted to wash down the bitterness with this cup of liquor.
“I can give you some help, if you don’t mind. What do you think?”Christine took another cup of wine for
herself and smiled sweetly.
Claudia frowned and didn’t put it in mind. She clinked her glass against Christine’s and drank it.
Once she tasted the ‘vodka’, she was surprised.
When did she switch the vodka to water? She turned to stare at Christine in astonishment.
This lady was a real tough one.
Christine smiled much brighter and whispered in her ear, “Trust me, I can help you!”
Claudia didn’t put it in mind, but when she recalled her words a few days later, she would be surprised.
When the party was over, it was already 11 pm.
Simon and Ben drank and talked a lot. When the party was over, they went to a bar nearby and
continued to drink until midnight.
Christine was carrying Simon in liquor. Their apartment was nearby, so it wouldn’t bother Christine too
much. But the hotel Ben and Claudia had booked was far away from here. So she called a chauffeur to
drive them back to the hotel.
Due to the tiredness after the party and the jet lag, Claudia fell asleep on their way home.
Later, she was woken up by the chauffeur.
She got off the car carrying Ben and watched the car drove away. Then, she turned around and found
that the car didn’t drive them to the hotel.
Instead, they were now in front of a strange mansion, in a wildland.
To be exact, it was like a country house on a farmstead. And there was no other building around here.
Well…
Claudia took out the phone but only found there was no signal here.
Horror stories usually took place in somewhere with no signal, you know.
Claudia had a little terrified while the man by her side was drunk and heavy, making her more difficult to
move.
She struggled to the door of the house with Ben and knocked on it. But the door was unlocked, so she
just pushed it open.
The house was pitch dark inside. It seemed that nobody was living here.
Now they were in an empty house in the wildland without cell service.
That sounded like they were in a horror movie!
She swallowed hard and groped for the light switch on the wall. Then, she turned the lights on and
found the house was pretty clean.
Ben really lost his sense. He held her waist heavily and carried her into the living room before Claudia
could struggle.
Probably because it was a strange place to him and he didn’t know much about the house, he threw
her on the sofa and got her laid.
Claudia was speechless by what he was doing. Did men only think about having sex and never pick the
place?
She tried to get rid of him but was in vain. Even worse, her arms were gripped him and now she was
pressed down on the corner of the sofa.
She got no choice but had to endure his crazy desire.
He was now having fun, but before he got satisfied, someone kicked the door open with a bang.
Claudia was surprised and covered her body with some clothes in a hurry. Got disrupted, Ben stood up
with a grim expression, but before he could adjust his clothes, the man raised his arm and gave him a
punch.
Since he was drunk and hadn’t prepared for that, he lost his balance and fell down on the ground.
Claudia was panicking and about to get up and help him, but the man pounced on Ben quickly and
gave him a few more punches. He thought a drunk man wouldn't fight back, but he was wrong. Ben
jumped up and was ready to fight against him.
However, as a drunk man, he moved slower than he used to be. He made a mistake, and his arm and
abdomen were scratched by the man’s knife.
Blood flowed out from the deep cuts.
The man didn’t expect this. He was frightened and ran away quickly.
It was all happened in a few minutes. Claudia was watching this blankly. Before she could feel panic,
she rushed to him and ripped a piece of her clothes, pressing his wounds with the cloth and trying to
stop the bleeding.
Then, she took out the phone and called the ambulance.
To her surprise, the phone call got through. But she couldn’t speak. She turned to look at Ben and
found he had lost his consciousness due to the alcohol and the fight.
What was she going to do?!
