And The Daddy Is… The Infertile Guy?!

Chapter 107

Chapter 107

At that moment, the Phoenix Luxe Stay’s ground parking lot was brimming with luxury.

cars.

A glance across the expanse revealed custom–made limited editions, each worth nearly ten million dollars. The ordinary Mercedes and BMW models were relegated to an inconspicuous corner.

Guests dressed in extravagant attire and dripping with jewels ascended the eighty–eight–story viewing elevator.

Bayridge City unfolded beneath them, the stars seemingly within reach.

A line of security personnel was guarding the ballroom on the top floor.

The hotel manager stood at the entrance, checking invitations before allowing guests to proceed.

“Welcome, Mr. Lopez.”

“Mr. Sawyer, please come in.”

“Mr. Frank, a pleasure to have you.”

Each guest was ushered in and catered to by a dedicated staff member.

The ballroom doors were majestic, leading to a domed ceiling of almost thirty feet high, adorned with opulent foreign crystal chandeliers.

The rich fragrance permeated the air, while the aroma of fine food and wine was intoxicating.

Rumor had it that the Chadwick family had spent two hundred million on Warren’s birthday party!

The four significant powers in Bayridge City, including the Lopez, Frank, and Mitchell families, had all sent representatives. The city’s nouveau riche was in attendance, too.

Warren usually wouldn’t bother with such social obligations, preferring to enjoy coffee and chat with old friends in the inner hall, leaving the hosting duties to his son’s family.

Jarvis and his wife, Farrah, stood by the entrance, beaming with pride, their smiles reaching their eyes.

“Congratulations, what a perfect couple, and Mr. Bainbridge is truly a cut above the rest, so young and accomplished, complimented a guest.

*All thanks to the guidance of the family elders,” replied Bainbridge, dressed impeccably,

his scholarly glasses adding a roguish charm.

“Bainbridge, you’re quite the man!”

“Thank you for the kind words, Mr. Frank.”

Amidst the well–wishing crowd, those of lower status barely got a word in. But being at the Chadwick family’s gala was a bragging right they’d always cherish.

Egged on by flattery, Bainbridge boasted to Jarvis. “Even the Frank and Mitchell families are here tonight. Grandpa’s got clout!”

More sober–minded, Jarvis cautioned, “They’re not here for your granddad. Half of the crowd is here for the founder of Summit Corp tonight!”

It was evident to those with eyes that Bayridge City was on the cusp of change.

“Bainbridge, are you sure he’ll show up?” asked Jarvis.

“Of course! He accepted my invitation.”

Jarvis praised with a smile, “You’ve got your way with flattery. Make sure to cozy up to him. Losing 20% shares might be a blessing in disguise!”

“Absolutely!”

Bainbridge had planned his approach for when the Summit Corp founder arrived, ready. with a barrage of ingratiating compliments.

On the other side of the ballroom, clusters of women gathered.

In her haute couture gown, Vivien was the picture of elegance, seemingly Mrs. Chadwick herself. She demurely caressed her belly, fishing for inquiries.

Fanny asked, “Are you expecting, dear Vivien?”

With bashful excitement, Vivien confessed, “Indeed, I am.”

While others concealed their pregnancy for months, she could hardly wait to spread the news citywide.

Irked by envy, Fanny offered indifferently, “Congratulations.”

It was the same night she had slept with Bainbridge.

Yet, why hadn’t she conceived?

Vivien beamed. “This child is a blessing! Bainbridge says it’s the best birthday gift for his grandpa.”

Other women interrupted, “Ms. Sawyer, you’re fortunate. Tonight’s not just about double happiness. It’s a quadruple joy here! The Chadwick family’s succession, the Summit Corp founder’s attendance, your engagement announcement, and the child you’re carrying.”

Vivien giggled, covering her mouth, her gaze scanning the crowd and fixing on Gemma.
